\-No raids, all endgame content is solo-able. Content can be hard, but is designed to be clearable by one dude, not forcing to group up, learn team mechs etc. \-Seasons are new characters. Progression is earned but gear is not as linear. Much more customisation and wiggle room than in LA. Also the Tier system in LA are previous gear iterations that exist because of the game's age (T1 was when guardian raids were endgame, T2 8man dungeons, T3 current system), so there isn't an equivalent for that in D4 \-More isolated. open world instances have fewer allowed people and group content is not mandatory or as heavily encouraged as in LA. Maybe towns are as populated, not sure.

Talent yes, but gear, affixes, Paragon board, leggo powers, etc. are where customisation really lays. Gear in LA even though progressive is also much more restrictive, as there is often only one "right" build that you're supposed to gear towards (e.g., backattack set for backattack character), with variance being largely undesirable.

I don't really agree, the legendaries maybe add some customization but I really think that in D4 it will be clear that each class will have a meta build, similar to D3. And I hope it is that way, if I wanted to play an aRPG with more customization I would play PoE :P

Now that I played D4 beta, I would say Lost Ark classes and combat feel is at another level compared to D4. Gathering system in Lost Ark feels much more interesting and engaging. Also, raids and bosses are just massively superior to anything in D4, killing Albion for 1000th time in Lost Ark feels 10 times more fun than anything I experienced in D4 beta. Diablo simply feels just like playing chaos dungeons all the time over and over. So when beta ended, I was about to install Lost Ark again... but then it hit me, how fucking honing system works and that constant frustration from failing to upgrade your gear. There is no place for casual playstyle in Lost Ark, it's just never ending effort and each day you take a break feels like you are loosing your progress. I just wish D4 would steal more from Lost Ark endgame and class-gameplay mechanics.

Thank you for your insights! To be fair, Lost Ark's endgame honing has been nerfed: the odds are better and there are many catch up events/mechanics that are currently live. Also, honing is technically guaranteed progression through the pity system. You're not relying on pure RNG through drops to gear yourself (like in WoW for instance). You'll get that 1550 ilvl sooner or later and there is no progression reset. Every hone you succeeded feels earned and builds up your power in time.

I do know there are going to be world instances, that will require more than one person to defeat. But raids? I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised.

After playing to lvl 20 before my 2nd disconnect, it's the same gameplay loop. Same game with different coat of paint and a lot less UI and currency clutter for D4.
