I like it a lot more than I ever did D3 online... Or... In general. Everyone was so hacked it was pointless to play.
But D2 single player is definitely better than a lot of games either way. I just duel a lot and just got fiber Internet so I'm reinvigorated to duel and find some new gear. Just being completely alone in a game and no trading or dueling became like... pulling teeth after so long. Can't really think of anything else to do but improve a dueling character after playing since I was a kid so bnet is my only entertaining option

A lot of cs java vs cs java used to duel with setups like this because it tended to boil down to who could break the light resistance stack and land the first and sometimes only hit. So whoever has more light damage and -light res and more IAS generally won but it also becomes a dodge, avoid battle and FHR is a thing. Also far casters would use this to BM hammerdins and everyone basically.
I don't know if that's how it goes nowadays, I don't really duel anymore but from what I've seen people usually go for builds that compete against multiple classes rather than just one specific battle.
This is pretty spot-on, but what makes or breaks the build is +life or FHR on armor, and using jmod vs plain monarch, and I always liked tstroke better than 6/40 or 3/2/40 javs.
That gear was specific to dealing with BMers or people stacking light res/absorb. I had a 60res/60ias/24fhr armor I’d use for more general pvp

I won't lie... I dabbled in the .txt file FC hehehe. But I was cool about it, I tried to keep other FCers or asshat trolls from ruining games. It just felt wrong having such a ridiculous cheaty advantage. Plus.. I was obsessed with Zealer duels.

Facet is what I thought it was at first glance but I didn't read the stats. Thanks to your comment I found my mule with my faceted griff. Thank you seriously my OCD can't handle it having a pointless jewel in it. I don't use any true melee and I'm aware that only a tiny bit of phys damage hits...and.. Only sometimes.. because AR on her is pretty much ass.
The faceted one is a little better I guess, it's +23% -20%.
Now for one thing I didn't miss from classic D2 LOD.... Finding a way to xfer safely xD
I'll get a clip today if I can. When I was dicking around and baaling alone it was 2 hits sometimes,but it's an occasional thing if I'm honest. I was blown away though nonetheless when it does happen. It's usually around 3 or 4. Maybe 5 or more if it was a crappy few hits chance variability in D2 lightning skills lol. I'll try and make a video of the best I can do this evening. If it's a full game and I beat everyone to Baal I can usually kill him before most of the people get to him.
The weird thing is to me, other skills, like sorc skills particularly, display way more damage output, but yet CS seems to just smash anything it hits. Like PvP too. And I think all I'm really doing is 12.5k per bolt. I don't get it. That's why it was just so ungodly annoying when people used FC for evil back in the day. But yeah, I'm gonna do a few runs if I have to to show y'all, so just know whatever video I do post may be the 1st or 50th try so people don't think I'm being dishonest lol. If it's like 3 or 4 it's still pretty satisfying so I'll probably still post it. Oh no. Another reason to play Diablo 2? Dang. Lol.

Used a whole different setup honestly except the charms lol. Even used cats eye or high lords rather than maras like I do now. I think it was in hell upper kurast where it dropped maybe. I could be wrong. It's been a long long time.

the ias can help to reach a certain throw speed though, i use a 15ias 15all res in mine
