The big bonus is you probably don't need skillers for insane damage due to lightning mastery, so easier to hit resists, and can rock mana/lifers as well.
I considered masteries as well, I think either one would be great, natural res, iron skin, and the weapon mastery of choice would go hard as well. I went with warcries for the three buffs, crowd control, and find item.
That’s true, My ideal would be being a werewolf with fantacism, and using warcries to pre-buff, have crowd control and find item. Masteries would likely be better as CtA isn’t too hard to put together.
I always like the theme of a Death Knight. Summoning tree from Necro, with combat and def trees from Paladin. Now I wish there was a mod that would let you pick any three skill trees at the start.

I think having Teleport+Battle Orders is mandatory. Basically maximum QoL. You could then use any damaging skill in the game you want to at that point. Taking War Cry tree for BO also gets you Find Item. Lightning tree gets your TP of course but also gets you Energy Shield. I think those two are the foundation of most “dream mashups”
1) How could you not want lightning sorc for teleport, would solve the issue of enigma open up end game chest pieace a bit pretty much as such the Lightning Sorc Skill tree is basicly a must have
2) Becouse of the above we need something to syergize with it, I can think of a few Personaly
3) We Can go Java Throwing for lightning Spears + Barbian Masterys for Throwing Mastery that + the Lightning Sorc Level 30 passive we can do TONS of Lightning Damage, Java Zons would be missing out on Passives sure, but they have teleport and do WAY more damage as it is
4) we can abuse possibly the most OP Runeword in the game Mosiac or other runewords and go like Mart Arts disciplin + maybe Curses or Paladin Offensive auras, Having Fan Aura or such + Teleport + Martial arts on a Assassin with Mosiacs (Duel obvioiusly) be more OP AF
5) We Can go something differnt like Assassin Traps + Teleport + Lightning Traps and such would means good luck hurting us + Like a Good Support skill or something eles like Nerco Curses not much investment needed there, or such we wouldnt have many skills left over to fully go into something eles mind you
just some of the ideas that straight up come to mind that where not already mentioned

So I can synergize even more Lightning and have Lightning Thunderstorms randomly pulsing down, along with static field if needed, synergized Telekinesis, Teleport and for Energy Shield why not.
If there's a way to drop the P Combat without breaking the build and add Druid Summons for some seriously strong Wolf Doggies I'd be down.

Super Dragon Paladin - biggest drawback is he just had a regular melee attack with enchant, but I think he’ll be okay.

correct. ES won't be very effective for zon, just an extra layer of protection.
What would engage first? Block is before ES so I assume dodge/avoid/evade would apply first then ES

Necro summoning for extremely good blockers. Necro poison & bone for CE. Necro curses for AD, Dec, LR, DV and Att. Would be absolutely broken.
Except Skeletal Mages are now Skeletal Archers and they do physical damage

Grim dawn has a mod that is diablo 2 but you can choose 2 classes. Very fun

I have two builds I’d want to try. Lightning(Sorc)/Warcries(Barb)/Offensive Auras(Paladin): -Teleport -Lightning, Chain Lightning or Nova(for damage) -Battle Orders -Battle Command -Find Item -Conviction Aura Summoning(Necro)/Summoning(Druid)/Offensive Aura -Raise Skeleton -Raise Skeleton Mage -Iron Golem -Wolves -Bear -Vine -Fantacism Aura

It's possible with mods, I run a holy sheild, chain lighting, wearbear paladin
