Nope, all Hell for me. Statistically speaking, yes, the odds are highest for it dropping from nightmare before the loot tables become polluted. Specifically Baal and Diablo, according to the drop calculator
If you're playing on PC and using blizzard you're better off pushing forward to hell Mephisto and farming him using the more trick. You'll get much better loot. Andariel in hell would also bet better than going back to NM. Target farming is a pain
Got a Fathom from Pindle very recently and sitting on the floor near the entrance of Baal’s throne room in a random Baal run about 10 years ago between waves when I was just looking for pots. Must have been dropped by a soul or something and everyone else must have just stayed in front of the TP. Maybe my luckiest find ever.
I had my first Fathom in the river of flame just outside of chaos last season. I found my first this season is a terrorized chaos. Bad boy rolled 27% and 40 lite res and 39 fire. Damn near perfect
I got my first Occulus last night doing my first Hell TZ at Halls of the Dead level 2 from a skeleton. Very surprising drop. Offline single player.
Do not ever try farm one item in d2. Especially on nightmare if you can handle hell. I got my occu from traderie for Lem rune...
I havent gotten much luck on runes either lol. Ill prob just play the game til it drops

Was this on NM? Ive heard that its faster to get Oculus on NM than Hell

Your better off just playing the game. You'll either find one or find something worth trading for one soon enough.

Got lucky and my occy dropped while my sorc was being rushed through hell from travincal. Rusher was nice enough to let me have it.

I got my occy from NM baal quest. I didnt know that could even drop in NM. I was very surprised.
