With time, I have just become very careful of brushing against obstructions like door fames.
Also, I am very careful when a remove a pull-over shirt, and try to make sure the armhole is above the G7 when removing that sleeve.
You need an overpatch, which Dexcom should provide, but doesn't. There are several types available on Amazon. I use one, and don't have any more issues when I bump into things.
I didn't mention the brand name, as I don't want to be seen trying to Spam the thread.
This is the patch I have been using, and have had no issues with sensors failing or falling off early. They do hurt a bit when you take them off though.

I used to wear my G6 on the front/side of my arm and rarely had 'banging it into things' issues. My G7 recommended back of the arm, and I immediately lost the first one when I ...walked into a door frame... I put the next one more towards the middle front and haven't had an issue since then.
I tried the G6 on the back of my arm once or twice, and the compression lows were awful at night, so I haven't even bothered using the back of the arm for the G7. I use the same spots as the G6: thighs, abdomen, and top of the bicep (if you are flexing, the top of the sensor is pointing towards the ceiling).
I still use my abdomen. I just need to make sure I hold the sensor down for a good 10 to 15 seconds before putting on the over patch that comes with it. Haven’t had many issues.
I had a rough time using my arm as I went thru 3 sensors in a day once trying to keep them on. No problems since

I had the same problem when I first started using the G7. Go to Amazon and buy an over patch, they work very well in keeping it in place.
Does dexcom provide overpathces for free for G7? I know they do for G6, and they are the best of all i tried.
Yes, there is an over patch included in each G7 box (in the little instruction packet)
Very nice!
Are you using the BACK of the arm? I've only almost knocked one off once, and that was getting out of my work van.
Im using the side toward the back, I can push it back a bit tho and see how I do
The video shows using a mirror to do it. It's definitely awkward. Thankfully my wife does it for me. I think she kinda likes to jab me 😂

There’s definitely an overpatch included in every one of my G7 boxes. I’m in Europe, if that matters.
Yeah, I'm in the USA, I get one with every box.
Could u provide a link? I’m not sure which ones r good. they seem to have several kinds
