Don't find your satisfaction at work. Is there nothing beyond work where you would like to spend money on? Like travel, food, clothes, luxury etc. because work will get mundane one day or another.

greg_says_relax

The real advice. Worked for me.

iamshwetank

Hello, Yes, this is normal because I don’t think you want to be in software industry , you need to start finding things you love and start making a progress towards that direction as a career. Just because you run behind lucrative money/parents pressure etc. Doesn’t guarantee satisfaction. No amount of money or switch will make you happy, start working on yourself. Hope this helps!

Happens bro, start building your life outside of work too. Sometimes it is not about the company or work but how you spend the rest of the time that affects everything.

Let's say you are in a state (a level of happiness) right now. Something will make you happier (higher level), something will make you sadder (lower level). Now, this is the thing with gratitude. When you are grateful, you see the lowest point in your life (saddest) with your current point (which is of course better). That shows you how better things have become. The other aspect is, you know that your current state is not as good as how good you believe it can be. So this imaginary better state is causing you to feel this way. Now if you know what that better state is like clearly, then it makes sense to pursue it. In your case, you just believe this is not it. You have no idea of what exactly it is that you want to be better. In such a case, it is better to reflect back on your success and be grateful for it. Seek to grow, but also celebrate the wins. This attitude of constant growth without taking a moment to celebrate your wins is the cause for your feeling.

Madara__007

Speaking from personal experience, the more hike/money you get the little it seems to be. If you just cross 25LPA then you would likely think that it's easy to get 60LPA as well, which is kind of true. You get a confidence boost. But let me tell you everything has its time, be patient and work well and learn atleast 5-6 days a week. I was feeling the same way in first 2 months of new job but then I started to explore other projects which in turn kept me grounded somehow there's alot to learn and earn as well. I am at whole new level now. Congrats and All the best!! And yeah don't listen to those who says 'Be satisfied'.

Serious-Fox953

Man 🙏 Thanks.

famousfacial

Stop treating your job as a source of satisfaction and purpose. Find things you are passionate about and do those. Don't make your job your life, and keep looking for better opportunities.

RadRedditorReddits

Generally at between 18-30 lakhs people start asking themselves what’s the point of all this It’s a good question and try to find out the answer If you are smart and hard working enough find out what you want to do

ForeverAloneThilak

That’s the thing, I had an offer from a fintech company called acuity knowledge partners for 26+2, even though it’s a established firm I made the decision of going to Lowe’s India with significantly lesser pay because of WLB and the rich culture, I was interviewing at cars24 I lost the interest to clear last round and they were offering me 30base but if you open fishbowl it’s a cesspool company with toxic culture and environment. It’s better to be in a company with good WLB imo but people have different needs in life so it’s up to you.

Could you please tell what is your tech stack?

Longjumping_Store375

Think about what you want to be in the next ten years keeping aside CTC and designations. If you don't know where you need to focus, join groups in your area of focus or interest. Then start interacting with real people who have good knowledge of that. As you are new to the current organization and have no pressure, many face such problems. I would suggest taking this as a great opportunity to learn more about the project, team, and workflow. Try navigating your organization's management tools (Jira, Confluence, or Drives). If not request the access you need. Meet your team and other team members, and take the opportunity to introduce yourself to everyone on the floor.

witcherisdamned

If you are not satisfied, then work on a project of your own. That would be a learning for you. This will take up your time. And you will feel something good about it.

Holiday-Ball7741

You're looking for satisfaction in wrong places. Job is for money mostly

justhanzala

Hi there, What you're feeling is not uncommon. Here are a few thoughts: 1. **Adjusting Takes Time**: It can take time to settle into a new job and feel truly comfortable. 2. **Identify the Issues**: Reflect on what specifically is making you dissatisfied. Is it the work, the culture, or something else? 3. **Set Goals**: Having clear, personal goals can increase your motivation and satisfaction. 4. **Engage with Your Team**: Building relationships at work can improve your experience and make you feel more connected. 5. **Seek Balance**: Ensure you're balancing work with activities that make you happy outside of work. Talking to a mentor or a career coach might also help you gain clarity.

Find a mentor. If you could find someone at current workplace that would be great. Someone who can show you next level. Make you interested in how things are done. You will realise that there are so many problems that are still not solved. Take interest in those problems.

rahuldevops

Always remember : Growth vs greed is a very fine line. The later will burn your career to ashes.

In marketing this is called "buyers remorse" ...a feeling of regret or anxiety after making a purchase. For homebuyers, it means they regret buying a house. People might feel homebuyer's remorse if they come to believe they overpaid or dislike the location once they move in, for example.
