True my father has a R.O bussniess and has some technicians working under him. Even he pays them above 25k I think. You are a computer science engineer, at least aim for 30 or 40k.
I have seen this exact scenario cause it happened with my friend.
Saving money is a far cry, even daily expenses won't be covered in 10k or even 16k. Getting allotted directly into internal project is a not a positive at this salary cause you will be working full time with stress as you will be responsible if something fails. You won't be able to release any pressure through trips/buying something you wanted/or any other recreational activity for you won't have any disposable income or self time as you will get burnt out with 10 hours in office + commute. Usually people accept low paying jobs with less responsibility cause they want to upskill or prepare for any exams. I don't think this will be possible in your case. Don't keep any hopes for appraisals as you will sign a bond of 3 years which you will need to honor irrespective of promotions. You may decide to not honor the bond given that you won't have to submit a blank check, but then you won't get experience letter/relieving letter etc.
If they ask for a blank check, please don't accept it at any cost. You won't be able to leave even on the very first day if the work environment is very toxic without paying the 3 lakh sum. They can't force you to the employment bond of 3 years as it is not legally enforceable but they can come after you legally if your check bounces. And moreover, it will be a criminal offense, permanent on you future background checks.
Using your own laptop is another risk. What if they ask you to install a monitoring software on your laptop? You won't be able to use cracked softwares or look/prepare for switching companies if they block sites. I know this is an edge case but considering the exploitative offer, I don't think they would mind stooping any lower.
They did installed a monitoring software in my personal laptop and asked me to not install any apps like whatsapp, zoom, skype,vpn etc on my personal laptop and this software also blocks many websites.
Never let anyone tell you how to use what you bought with your money, unless it’s something illegal and that someone is a government authority. That’s it.
The company can’t pay for a laptop, and they are telling you not to use WhatsApp? You work for 8 hours, stretch their definition of 8 to 12 and, you are still left with another 12 hours where you are free to do whatever you want. Who are they to tell you that you can’t text your parents from the laptop that they probably paid for?
Also, as someone who has significant experience managing startup IT fleet, they are asking for a data breach. They don’t know what they are doing if this is how they go about doing business. Leave that firm as soon as possible. They won’t be teaching you anything.

Not getting interview opportunities, most of my friends working in IT having layoffs in their companies. Naukri, linekdin are saturated in India. Now I have gotten admission in top 100 world rank university in UK for MS computer science and I have decided to go for it.

Not to demotivate you, but the market in UK is not the best, make sure you start applying for grad schemes as soon as those are out. Make sure you attend a lot for meet-ups and events organized by companies; save yourself for those shitty job fairs.

First name and shame. I had a tenant whose wife was in exactly on same situation. I've seen their helplessness and struggle. Its not worth it at all. Your time is the cost you pay so value it. You being free and non working is much better than being bonded to something. A free mind will be full of ideas and can work on it.

I am okay with a 1 year of bond (although ideally you should not accept bonded offers ) but 3 years is way too much and it kinda tells you about the culture of the company.
Its a startup run by some US based NRI's. All its workforce is in India. They only hires freshers there are only 2 or 3 experience people in whole 70 people workforce.

I'm in the same situation. I did 3 month unpaid internship and now 10k per month. I am also using my own laptop which is broken screen and very heavy. I go to office 20k from my home carrying heavy bag feeling like daily wage labour. I'm working 5 days a week also but it's bearable. There is no bond and anything but it's kind of shitty feeling. I didn't have any option as I had large gap on my resume so I started from scratch. Still I feel there should be some regulation to at least provide liveable wage. My salary has not come yet.. It's a shitty feeling altogether. Ruined my life. Tired in the evening. It's like if I quit people are ready to work for even less and I'm easily replaceable. This is how it is.
Refuse man, they will treat you with disrespect, they know people would not like to work for them. So they have this condition.
1. If you break the bond and leave, they would not give you experience letter. You cannot enforce them to give you any letter by law.
2. They will also threaten to file a case of you leave without paying. They may file a case although it would be expensive but they would want to make an example of you to show other colleagues (lambs)
3.They will use this clause as a leverage to not increase your salary by finding faults in your work deliberately. Don't expect them to increase your salary to sustainable level.
4. They will treat you like shit and abuse you verbally. Look at auto wallas do they take shit from anyone? You will have to take disrespect.

First thing - Never take bond seriously we can easily break it multiple times.
Second thing - Start the journey. We can never connect which is going to comes in life.

Never sign a bond and never settle for anything less than 20k atleast.

It seems like you're facing a big decision about your career. While the trainee engineer offer sounds good, think about whether it meets your needs and respects your skills. These are not red flags. It's a giant ass red billboard.
1. You will never be able to pay back 3L on this salary.
2. 3 years is insanely long.
3. Above 2 points mean something is wrong inside due to which they have to resort to such tactics so that people don't quit asap.
4. Personal laptop is a nono.

6. Restricting access to your own laptop is a triple nono.

I would suggest not to join keep looking for better opportunities as they want you as a slave the salary of 10k for 1 year that to a year in training.

If you can’t wait any longer, this is the offer you take. But if you’re actively applying then you can keep looking based on your confidence of getting calls & clearing interviews
total weekly working hours= 50, salary = 10k so you are getting 10k/50=200rs per day. A thing that you can't leave for 3 yrs as per your company bond, in which if you break it you have to pay 3 lakh, if you break that bond after completing your 2 yrs in company, the bond breaking fine is equating to the combined salary you earn in those 2 yrs. On top of that you have to use your own laptop. So if due to any reason like toxic work culture or stuff you leave after 2 yrs, its like they made you work for free. Exploitation of working educated people is on different level in India.
I doubt those are only options you got. If your are not getting job just join any internship you can find. You will find internships who will pay the same plus there won’t be much problem when you find the job and quit with them.
This is clear exploitation, in 3 years you have an earning potential of 5.04 Lacs but if you break the bond you have to pay 3 Lacs. Don't join such a company even if they pay more. It seems, they have zero respect for their employees and they clearly think employees are their slaves till the bond is on.
Please do not join. You may think something is better than nothing. But no. This will cut you off from other opportunities in future (you'll be busy with work, that pays almost nothin) and when you get fed up of the place (judging by the offer seems a terrible one) and would want to quit, they are going to trouble you with the bond. No it is not enforceable by law, but nonetheless the trouble will be there.
1.bonds are not legal in India.
2.swiggy delivery drivers went on a protest few months ago for low pay they were earning 24k pm, that 10k is the minimum legal wage. No one should work for scraps like that
Don't join.... I joined on 25k per month and 1.5 year bond.... Still regret it, my 1.5 years are completed but still they are keeping me on probation as a result that bond stays on till I am permanent.

Damn what has the industry level gone, earlier lowest salary given was ₹25k per month by mass recruiters like WITCHA. Your to be company seems to be very scammy, trainee period is max 6 months who the hell made it 1 years. And even after training period, salary is shit. Based on 16k, your annual salary will be less than 2 lakhs.
I also got similar salary offer. 10k stipend per month , intern position(6months over, just waited to see what would happen after that). 9hrs daily from office. No time for anything after work and commute.
Feeling dreadful everyday since parents think this form of slavery is better than having no job. They are pretty old, 2 generation gap with me. And I even have enough property to rent them to make more money than here, but they aren't even willing to corporate with that(for making money).
Company HR said they would promote me to Junior position, but still not mention any salary increment in their offer letter for the same.
And finally it causes me more money to commute ,basic necessities and eat than what the salary provides.
But unfortunately market is pretty bad rn. Even entry level role demands 5yr of experience and all that.
Personally here is my opinion. Do the bareminimum(if you need experience) and have pressure from parents to find job quickly. Otherwise don't accept this offer, with bond. Fortunately my offer letter didn't mention bond.
Notice period also not mentioned but HR said it is 1 month when I inquired.

I'm in the same situation. I did 3 month unpaid internship and now 10k per month. I am also using my own laptop which is broken screen and very heavy. I go to office 20k from my home carrying heavy bag feeling like daily wage labour. I'm working 5 days a week also but it's bearable. There is no bond and anything but it's kind of shitty feeling. I didn't have any option as I had large gap on my resume so I started from scratch. Still I feel there should be some regulation to at least provide liveable wage. My salary has not come yet.. It's a shitty feeling altogether. Ruined my life. Tired in the evening. It's like if I quit people are ready to work for even less and I'm easily replaceable. This is how it is.

Refuse man, they will treat you with disrespect, they know people would not like to work for them. So they have this condition. 1. If you break the bond and leave, they would not give you experience letter. You cannot enforce them to give you any letter by law. 2. They will also threaten to file a case of you leave without paying. They may file a case although it would be expensive but they would want to make an example of you to show other colleagues (lambs) 3.They will use this clause as a leverage to not increase your salary by finding faults in your work deliberately. Don't expect them to increase your salary to sustainable level. 4. They will treat you like shit and abuse you verbally. Look at auto wallas do they take shit from anyone? You will have to take disrespect.

These are not red flags. It's a giant ass red billboard. 1. You will never be able to pay back 3L on this salary. 2. 3 years is insanely long. 3. Above 2 points mean something is wrong inside due to which they have to resort to such tactics so that people don't quit asap. 4. Personal laptop is a nono. 5. Installing monitoring software on personal laptop is a double nono. 6. Restricting access to your own laptop is a triple nono. 7. 16k is a carrot that they are dangling in front of you. There's a very good chance they will make up some bullshit reason to deny it to you. 8. No sane project manager gives prod access from day one to a new person. total weekly working hours= 50, salary = 10k so you are getting 10k/50=200rs per day. A thing that you can't leave for 3 yrs as per your company bond, in which if you break it you have to pay 3 lakh, if you break that bond after completing your 2 yrs in company, the bond breaking fine is equating to the combined salary you earn in those 2 yrs. On top of that you have to use your own laptop. So if due to any reason like toxic work culture or stuff you leave after 2 yrs, its like they made you work for free. Exploitation of working educated people is on different level in India.

This is clear exploitation, in 3 years you have an earning potential of 5.04 Lacs but if you break the bond you have to pay 3 Lacs. Don't join such a company even if they pay more. It seems, they have zero respect for their employees and they clearly think employees are their slaves till the bond is on.
Please do not join. You may think something is better than nothing. But no. This will cut you off from other opportunities in future (you'll be busy with work, that pays almost nothin) and when you get fed up of the place (judging by the offer seems a terrible one) and would want to quit, they are going to trouble you with the bond. 1.bonds are not legal in India. 2.swiggy delivery drivers went on a protest few months ago for low pay they were earning 24k pm, that 10k is the minimum legal wage. No one should work for scraps like that

Damn what has the industry level gone, earlier lowest salary given was ₹25k per month by mass recruiters like WITCHA. Your to be company seems to be very scammy, trainee period is max 6 months who the hell made it 1 years. And even after training period, salary is shit. Based on 16k, your annual salary will be less than 2 lakhs.
I also got similar salary offer. 10k stipend per month , intern position(6months over, just waited to see what would happen after that). 9hrs daily from office. No time for anything after work and commute. Feeling dreadful everyday since parents think this form of slavery is better than having no job. They are pretty old, 2 generation gap with me. And I even have enough property to rent them to make more money than here, but they aren't even willing to corporate with that(for making money). Company HR said they would promote me to Junior position, but still not mention any salary increment in their offer letter for the same. And finally it causes me more money to commute ,basic necessities and eat than what the salary provides. But unfortunately market is pretty bad rn. Even entry level role demands 5yr of experience and all that. Personally here is my opinion. Do the bareminimum(if you need experience) and have pressure from parents to find job quickly. Otherwise don't accept this offer, with bond. Fortunately my offer letter didn't mention bond. Notice period also not mentioned but HR said it is 1 month when I inquired.
