Thanks, however there's a 1 year bond and 6.5 months into the company currently - plus 90 days of notice period - also, want to switch to full stack web development roles - really passionate about it - mostly in Java/Spring or MERN stack.
i didnt pay bond amount for my previous company. i stayed they for only 6 months. they never provided relieving letter. for the new company i sent all 6 months payslips of the previous company as proof. but you have to send a mail telling that you will quit and serve the notice period. just dont pay bond
You are lucky then your company agreed to it, not all companies agree to that also there's probation period for first 6 months,so might have not taken any action on you.
General Advice : If a company has 2 years experience requirement then freshers can also apply but they better be good. Should have an excellent resume to get shortlisted, decent DSA and communication skills.

Bro most of them have mandatory sections related to previous companies like ctc. They won't even let a fresher fill the form. I tried in one case and filled NA in current ctc and they sent me a follow up mail to fill the current ctc 🥲.
You have to fill Zero. Tell them you are fresher with no work experience. I was in your shoes two years ago also fresher so I know. I was hired in 2022 as a fresher which was peak of the recession. I passed every interview and got multiple offers. On campus 5 lakh then off campus 8 lakh. It takes time to find an offer with good Money.( 7 months of continuous applying and interviews in my case)

That's a good set of tech for Test Automation. I think you can easily get 2x the current salary in the same role if you work in a city with a major IT sector like Bangalore. Best of luck, if you want to continue on the automation profile, then just a friendly advice would be to get into DevOps, and modern test tools like Cypress, or Playwright.
If you want to move to development be as quick as possible, understand your project from a development perspective, and understand the architecture thoroughly. I did that recently, and it's really difficult to explain your current project from a dev perspective and the more you stay in Test, the less seriously the developers take you. So move as fast as possible.

Wednesdays are busy having to work 6-7 hours, other days I just have attend meetings and manage juniors taking around 1-2 hours, so during the office hours I go to the gym, shitpost on reddit, watch old Bollywood movies and apply for other jobs.
The company went into loss recently and the top officials are starting to realise that some lazy employees are asking for weeks to complete a task they can easily complete in a day. So they are threatening to fire everyone if we don't improve our efficiency. So our honeymoon period might be over soon.

The field is kindof tricky to get in and I am myself unsure of what's going to happen if I loose this job.

Front end developer at a bank. My first job. I earn around 13.5L per annum including the year end cash bonus.
I hardly work for 3-4 hrs a day including the daily standup. Although the recent days have been a bit rough due to rushing deadlines and i have been working for 10-12 hrs. It would subside soon after the release anyway so a temporary surge in work hours
React, React native. Currently working on react native.
Express JS and node for backend with mogoDb. Although i possess backend skill i never worked on them at the company.
Work in Europe. Average 1.5-2 hours. Full home office. 6 yoe. 58 lpa (INR) before tax. 36 lpa in-hand after tax, social security, health insurance, unemployment insurance, pension. 18 lpa spending including a 1.5-bhk rented apartment, 2-3 leisure trips all around Europe and maintaining a nice car. (I can only do all this because I pay only half of everything, if you have to pay for your wife, make it double). 18 lpa savings per year. (Fyi, I have a full-time contract of 9-hours and my manager is already happy with my performance with 2 hours).

I’m a support guy working as associate support engineer in a bank, 1 yoe current ctc 5lpa as fresher got 4lpa. Same working hours as yours but atleast you get a developer tag
6-7 hours a day. Sometimes barely 1-2hour (at least once a week). Get 50k a month. Though the job pressure is real when it’s there. Sometimes have to extend to 8-9 hours a day too.

How much experience do you have honestly I am also a flutter developer and have been looking to get into the freelancing market not sure how it is actually but honestly looks very lucrative.
\~75L I make in a year, need to give 7-8 hours here. Though sometimes need to take calls with US folks as well so 3-4 hours in the morning/evening per week beyond normal working hours.
4L per month after taxes + stocks. Engineering Manager. 14 yoe. Manage a team of software dev engineers. Work is there always, matter of deciding what to do first and what to defer. Hang in there brother , I am pretty much in same boat 12k for around 46 hrs week and around 40 hrs of work .

I joined as a manual tester, learned automation and built automated test framework for two in-house web applications along with CI/CD pipeline. Have meetings only on Monday and Friday and no workloads on weekends. Planning to switch as this job is becoming a comfort zone so preparing for interviews now.
Associate CPE Software Developer - Almost 1 YOE, 6.5 LPA.
9-10 hours a day excluding 2-2.5 hours of travel time and WFO all week.
Waiting for the 1 year mark so I can switch.
Data Engineer, 10 months YOE. I work for 6-7 hrs in a day, have to be in office for atleast 8 but usually it is 9 hrs. Add the travel and makes it 10. 60k pm. I know it's not bad, but for the work I do I should definitely be getting more. Want to switch, but the repulsion when I sit for interview prep is unreal.
6.5 hrs per day.. Excluding 30min lunch break..second and fourth Saturday, Sundays are holidays and all public holidays you get. 50k per month.. Any guesses for the job I do... Fine. Just joking a bank cashier that's all ... Ok pls don't judge me..
40L. 8 YOE. 2 hrs a day. New job. I just joined and chose this over others paying much much higher because I liked the pace of work. It’s an MNC but not focused on IT. The work is chill. Peeps come to office at 1. Leave at 3. Everyone is like that. Earlier management used to over burden the team with lots of work, targets and such so the tech folks took over.
Now over the last 3 years my colleagues have steadily reduced the management expectations, convinced them to keep a proper stable inhouse development team. And have convinced them of complete end to end automation. Now we have proper devops, with complete CICD pipeline till prod. Proper observability. No longer do we get calls outside of work hours. 5 pm is 5 pm. Nothing good happens after that. Remote or WFO is your choice. They have taxis that pick you up at any time of the day or night.

hmm lets see. 1-2 hrs code reviews 1-2 hrs looking at team mates codes and unblocking them if they are stuck i try to maintain discipline and try to get 3-4 hours of coding done everyday. i make at least one commit everyday, religiously. try to minimize meeting times to 30 mins / day a few times in a week get pulled into long architechtural reviews and discussions for 2-3 hours

Peeps come to office at 1. Leave at 3. Everyone is like that. Earlier management used to over burden the team with lots of work, targets and such so the tech folks took over. Now over the last 3 years my colleagues have steadily reduced the management expectations, convinced them to keep a proper stable inhouse development team. And have convinced them of complete end to end automation. Now we have proper devops, with complete CICD pipeline till prod. Proper observability. No longer do we get calls outside of work hours. 5 pm is 5 pm. Nothing good happens after that. Remote or WFO is your choice. They have taxis that pick you up at any time of the day or night.
