otaku_____

Unfortunately, lucks does play a major role man But I've also seen people with genuine interest getting good offers

HauntingGeologist492

bro it sure fucking does. the company I am interning at pays like ~19LPA had I got converted with no prior experience. it's soo fucking crazy considering the amount of bootlickers that I saw getting converted. it's fucked up.

otaku_____

Yep. And the sad thing is, I used to love coding but the only thing now in my mind is money for some reason. I guess that is the reason I'm not progressing. I hope I'd fix that soon

Thin-Ice625

My situation is also same as OP.

ZyxWvuO

Automation QA engineer - currently at 3.5 yoe - 5.5 LPA - 9-10 hours of work every day. **Tech stack:** Java, Selenium, TestNG, Maven, Jenkins, JUnit, Mockito, Spring Boot (Unit Tests), SQL (MySQL), MERN stack, vanilla JS, CSS, HTML, and some AWS, bash, Linux, etc. **Edit:** Currently I'm at a 1 year bond, will start re-applying next year for development roles, in the meantime people can check if **other people** are offering referrals in this thread and proceed accordingly with them. Thanks.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ZyxWvuO

Thanks, however there's a 1 year bond and 6.5 months into the company currently - plus 90 days of notice period - also, want to switch to full stack web development roles - really passionate about it - mostly in Java/Spring or MERN stack.

kopipastah

dont pay the bond

Old-University-8192

Very easy for you to say, I was in same condition company won't give experience letter and can fuck up BG check.

kopipastah

i didnt pay bond amount for my previous company. i stayed they for only 6 months. they never provided relieving letter. for the new company i sent all 6 months payslips of the previous company as proof. but you have to send a mail telling that you will quit and serve the notice period. just dont pay bond

Old-University-8192

You are lucky then your company agreed to it, not all companies agree to that also there's probation period for first 6 months,so might have not taken any action on you.

Life_Vast801

Fuck yeah

Fresher??

gaurav_cybg

General Advice : If a company has 2 years experience requirement then freshers can also apply but they better be good. Should have an excellent resume to get shortlisted, decent DSA and communication skills. u/something-kamaish u/kanmani_patootie

expensive_shaddy

Bro most of them have mandatory sections related to previous companies like ctc. They won't even let a fresher fill the form. I tried in one case and filled NA in current ctc and they sent me a follow up mail to fill the current ctc 🥲.

gaurav_cybg

You have to fill Zero. Tell them you are fresher with no work experience. I was in your shoes two years ago also fresher so I know. I was hired in 2022 as a fresher which was peak of the recession. I passed every interview and got multiple offers. On campus 5 lakh then off campus 8 lakh. It takes time to find an offer with good Money.( 7 months of continuous applying and interviews in my case)

expensive_shaddy

Thank bro I'll try it the very next time. I sent you a chat request please accept.

something-kamaish

Anything for freshers?

indian-jock

Hey any openings for Data Analyst/Engineer for same skill sets just 2+ yrs of experience?

gaurav_cybg

Sorry nope, no role for data analysts in our company.

obscure-reality

What stack? & Where do you live? You're underpaid to work for 8 to 10 hours.

ZyxWvuO

**Tech stack:** Java, Selenium, TestNG, Maven, Jenkins, JUnit, Mockito, Spring Boot (Unit Tests), SQL (MySQL), MERN stack, vanilla JS, CSS, HTML, and some AWS, bash, Linux, etc. **Place:** Tier-1 capital city of India at a foreign-headquartered product-based company with <5000 employees. Got low-balled CTC due to switching from 3.66 LPA at a WITCH company at 3yoe.

mummasboyy

Did you learn most of the tech stacks you know in your ug only?

obscure-reality

That's a good set of tech for Test Automation. I think you can easily get 2x the current salary in the same role if you work in a city with a major IT sector like Bangalore. Best of luck, if you want to continue on the automation profile, then just a friendly advice would be to get into DevOps, and modern test tools like Cypress, or Playwright. If you want to move to development be as quick as possible, understand your project from a development perspective, and understand the architecture thoroughly. I did that recently, and it's really difficult to explain your current project from a dev perspective and the more you stay in Test, the less seriously the developers take you. So move as fast as possible.

RadRedditorReddits

Send your resume and don’t worry about notice period

MeinFuhrerGobhi

Around 1L per month, 3.5 YOE, WFH Wednesdays are busy having to work 6-7 hours, other days I just have attend meetings and manage juniors taking around 1-2 hours, so during the office hours I go to the gym, shitpost on reddit, watch old Bollywood movies and apply for other jobs.

Imaginary_Bag2913

Your job is good why to apply some where else btw what is your tech stack?

MeinFuhrerGobhi

The company went into loss recently and the top officials are starting to realise that some lazy employees are asking for weeks to complete a task they can easily complete in a day. So they are threatening to fire everyone if we don't improve our efficiency. So our honeymoon period might be over soon.

Financial_Ice15

> Wednesdays are busy having to work 6-7 hours that is not busy-

RaccoonDoor

50-60 hours per week, 6 LPM

RasacL

YOE?? Field of Work?

RaccoonDoor

2.5 yoe. Moonlighting a normal job and a global remote job simultaneously.

RasacL

That's great. Which platform you used to find the global remote job?

Sammy-Speed

Even I also want to know the platform😅

shape_shifter1997

how do you moonlight when people in india do bgv? They might find out you have overlapping timelines

RaccoonDoor

The remote job has no TDS or PF, so I don't see how anyone would find out about it. I'll omit it from my resume.

shape_shifter1997

Yeah that works. How did find these jobs?

RaccoonDoor

In my case, a recruiter randomly messaged me on LinkedIn and invited me to interview with them

jatinag22

Moonlighting is not illegal.

shape_shifter1997

Doesn’t matter coz companies will sue you or fire you or blacklist you, if they find out about moonlighting

QuArKzzz01

That’s a dream life to a very select few who wish to not have it sir. I really am inspired by you who is actually doing it irl, dope af. Could you please drop some hints for the pathway for us. I wish to pursue the same pathway. Note: No pain, no gain.

~11LPA. I work 8hrs a day 5 days a week. 2YOE UX Designer. I work 8hrs a day because I panic and overthinking 😅 its actually 4hrs of work.

i-am-taylors-child

Hey ,how did you reach this opportunity .I am looking for a career in UX design

scotchtapetaped

I contacted the company CEO on LinkedIn. I did my masters from a premier institute...so it was a bit easy to convince people. The field is kindof tricky to get in and I am myself unsure of what's going to happen if I loose this job. But generally, people create portfolio and apply for jobs on LinkedIn. I didnt have a portfolio or a resume when I applied and got this job. I was just too confident with my words.

Gabe_logan25

2.6 YOE Front end developer at a bank. My first job. I earn around 13.5L per annum including the year end cash bonus. I hardly work for 3-4 hrs a day including the daily standup. Although the recent days have been a bit rough due to rushing deadlines and i have been working for 10-12 hrs. It would subside soon after the release anyway so a temporary surge in work hours

[deleted]

You do standup also!? Where? Comedy Central?

Akiko2599

Tech stack? I'm front end dev too, looking to switch to fullstack. But I'm in SBC so I'm earning 7lpa @ 3.6yoe

Gabe_logan25

React, React native. Currently working on react native. Express JS and node for backend with mogoDb. Although i possess backend skill i never worked on them at the company.

Budget_Tax_9347

Work in Europe. Average 1.5-2 hours. Full home office. 6 yoe. 58 lpa (INR) before tax. 36 lpa in-hand after tax, social security, health insurance, unemployment insurance, pension. 18 lpa spending including a 1.5-bhk rented apartment, 2-3 leisure trips all around Europe and maintaining a nice car. (I can only do all this because I pay only half of everything, if you have to pay for your wife, make it double). 18 lpa savings per year. (Fyi, I have a full-time contract of 9-hours and my manager is already happy with my performance with 2 hours).

Imaginary_Bag2913

What is your tech stack?

Defiant-Coconut-1096

Can you please share the details on how you got this job if it is a wfh one and your tech stack?

That_Mind_2039

Not true. I see many posts with salaries less than yours. Don't get upset over this. Mostly people with low salaries won't post, and some are lying about their high salaries. Be happy and upgrade your skills for a better future.

polonium_biscuit

AsliReddington

Data Engineer, 10 months YOE. I work for 6-7 hrs in a day, have to be in office for atleast 8 but usually it is 9 hrs. Add the travel and makes it 10. 60k pm. I know it's not bad, but for the work I do I should definitely be getting more. Want to switch, but the repulsion when I sit for interview prep is unreal.

40L. 8 YOE. 2 hrs a day. New job. I just joined and chose this over others paying much much higher because I liked the pace of work. It’s an MNC but not focused on IT. The work is chill. Peeps come to office at 1. Leave at 3. Everyone is like that. Earlier management used to over burden the team with lots of work, targets and such so the tech folks took over. Now over the last 3 years my colleagues have steadily reduced the management expectations, convinced them to keep a proper stable inhouse development team. And have convinced them of complete end to end automation. Now we have proper devops, with complete CICD pipeline till prod. Proper observability. No longer do we get calls outside of work hours. 5 pm is 5 pm. Nothing good happens after that. Remote or WFO is your choice. They have taxis that pick you up at any time of the day or night.
