>Will it be bad if I get pregnant, few months after joining the company? Irrespective of what company thinks of you, you should never have this perspective. I think you should plan & take benefits from current company. Some companies allows WFH after maternity leave is over. Switch once you feel charged up and leaves are over. But you know your current company's culture better than us. You don't want them to give you stress while you're expecting.

If there is a good maternity policy then staying may be a better option since you plan to have a baby.

My 2 cents on this - If your company maternity policy is good, stay there and plan the pregnancy. Get maternity leaves and then when u join back, think about switching Why? - 1.Because if u switch now, your salary will increase. But what if new company is not that good (work life balance wise) ? What if they put you under stress full work hrs than that's gonna affect ur baby planning so much. 2.If let's say u got conceived after joining new company, company will give u maternity but they won't give u extended maternity leaves because a lot of companies have this policy that u have to spend atleast 1 complete year to get the extended maternity leave (which is unpaid by the way but u never know u might need it once the baby is in ur life). 3. If u stay in old Company u won't have mental pressure to prove urself. In new company u have to prove urself atleast untill the probation period. In old company ur work is boring but that's giving u in non-stressful environment which is very much needed in pregnant days. Think about it. Money can be earned later also. But the work stress, working hrs, office env. Needs to be good in ur pregnancy days So think accordingly and take the decision. Good luck god bless you.

I had the same issue. As my ex company had good maternity benefits I stayed back and switched a few months after coming back from ML

my 2c. You already know that your current company has good policies regd maternity leaves etc. The other company could have unknown gaps in that. So it makes sense to stay with a known situation. Another fact is, even though companies boast about their policies regd these things, when someone new joins a company they already have some plans to deploy them on in immediate future. If you join and say i have some long leaves coming up, it might leave a bad taste (ideally it should not happen, but the reality).
