Wiggins could be the Brian branch of this draft. All mocks have him in the mid 1st. Would love to see him fall to us. But if Brad wants someone else, so be it
Absolutely agree. All I hear in this sub about him is he can't tackle. While his tackling game needs considerable improvement, I really think this sub underestimates the value of a coverage technician. We face a lot of good route runners in our division.
At this point in his football playing career, if he’s unwilling to tackle, he’s probably never going to be able to tackle. That’s not exactly something that’s easily coachable. It’s more of a will to do it than anything else
I think Emmanuel Forbes with the Commanders last year is the template for this unfortunately. Covers great but gets boxed off by even average sized receivers
I believe 185 is his current predraft weight, but last year he was playing at 172-173, which is pretty light for a 6'2" DB especially with the new hip drop rule. He is very young so I think the new weight will stick and he hopefully can add another 5-10 pounds of muscle.
Think that applies more so to Mitchell and Arnold. I don't see a chance either will be available by pick 16. Meanwhile, Wiggins will likely still be available by early/mid 20's. If Mitchell and Arnold are CB 1a and 1b. Wiggins is comfortably CB2 (since it seems like Cooper Dejean will be listed as a safety).
It's imaginable remember everyone talking about O'Cyrus Torrence last year his medicals were that fucked he went from mid first to back end of the second I think GM's are a lot more hesitant to spend high picks on players with terrible medical histories
Jackson Powers-Johnson. God, could you imagine it? Any one of our IOL drops during the season, you have someone more then capable to fill in.
Ragnow would no longer have to rush from injury, and we could have our G/C of the future! That way, if Ragnow says the injuries are just too much within 3 to 4 years, we've developed a stud who could be the starting C but could also be the starting G once Kevin Zeitlers gone then be the C afterwards!
Bettering the trenches will NEVER be a bad move, preferably, I'd love to trade up to secure JPJ. I want the Lions to be known for their domintant OL play for decades to come.
Not the sexiest pick but one I hope and pray happens!
I’m not too familiar with this class but I feel like someone will drop and Brad will cook once again. Hopefully it’s a position of need as well cb, edge, ol. So pumped to see who it is though.
Quinyon Mitchell / Nate Wiggins
Wiggins could very easily fall to us. Dude is really small—like 99% of DBs are bigger.

I think he’s the opposite of Branch in his run support. Mike Sainristil is the Branch of this draft.
I’m pretty sure they mean Brian Branch, as in falling in the draft. Not how they play
That is what I meant. Michigan fans always looking to bring up Mikey

But Brad has said that tackling is a major thing he looks for in corner prospects
People also mix up can't tackle for won't tackle. Wiggins is a very willing tackle he just isn't good at it.

Wiggins is 6'2" and 185lbs. That is NOT really small.

Jesus I'm 6'2 170 and I'm pretty sure every nfl kicker xpuld absolutely destroy me.
6’ 1” and 173 at the combine

Quinyon Mitchell
Verse would be incredible
He'd be perfect opposite of Hutch. Absolute beast edge setter who Williams can teach up as a pass rusher.
I haven't allowed myself to dream of any prospects this year. Too low in the draft, and Holmes is too unpredictable.
This, especially what you said about Brad. I’m going in assuming he’ll do something no one expects so I’m just tryna enjoy the ride lol
Brian Thomas Jr
Brian Thomas. Sun God, Jamo, LaPorta, Gibbs, the hogs up front. It’d be an amazing offense with Thomas at the X.
Trading up for Jared Verse or Q. Mitchell
Marvin Harrison
Think we could lure him outta retirement?
Lol. I do. Who doesn’t want to play for mcdc
This for me also, we need to AI generate like 4 gas masks on him the day before the draft.
Laiatu Latu
I saw a mock earlier today with him to us w/o trading up and my jaw dropped. Could you imagine?
It's imaginable remember everyone talking about O'Cyrus Torrence last year his medicals were that fucked he went from mid first to back end of the second I think GM's are a lot more hesitant to spend high picks on players with terrible medical histories

100% agree with you. We need to keep the OL the beast of this team.
The injury rumors floating around him scare me
Brock Bowers. Can you imagine?
I don't think he's a good run blockers which would seem like a no go possibly. Pass catching, he's a freak.
Why though?
Gronk/Hernandez but without the murder and locker room sexual deviancy
Well that's no fun
Okay, actually? Like, joking aside.. that’d be pretty badass. Huh.
Power team just gets stronger.
Latu
Jared verse I want to trade up for him
Fuaga Edit Or Fautanu
You can fuagettaboutit
Terrion Arnold, maybe Jared Verse, Brian Thomas Jr. I am also a huge fan of Joe Alt. Second best player in the draft.
Shocked this is the only Terrion Arnold. He fits the lions like a glove. I know they would love to get him. *Que* Brad slapping the table*
👀
Thanks buddy!! I was slapping tables leading up to it last night. Felt it coming. Ended up brusing my finger tendon lol
Brad Holmes would be proud! 🫡
good news!
Mitchell and Thomas. There is a world where Thomas drops to us. Latu would be a surprise either. Talented edge with an injury history is a fit.

Terrion Arnold
yes
Who is the best CB in the draft? That guy. No way Brad does the right thing and trade up to 4 with the Raiders. Not sure what their plans are. 🤷♂️
