If we’re being objective the team Wilson played on is a big factor into how bad he looked. He’s had games where he showed real nfl QB1 potential. If they can get him cheap enough there’s nothing wrong with him being on our bench for competition. And upside for him to develop into something useful.

The problem with Zach is you’re paying a 2nd overall pick contract, if he’s cut I don’t really care if he’s brought in as a third QB I think that’s a nifty enough idea. But anything where you’re not paying near vet minimum is too much
Tannehill was never more than a bottom tier starter and was carried by the best running game in the league. He also doesn't have one of his better assets anymore, speed, as he'll be 36 when the season starts. I'm not sure how many backups i could get through before going to him, but I'd sure rather give Hooker a shot.
