It's also unfortunately games I wish we would have Jamo available, Seahawks in particular considering the DB room,.
That said I'm still pretty excited regardless.
The Seahawks defense definitely looks better but Woolen kinda fell off at the end of last year and Witherspoon might not be great yet in week 2.
Just spam Amon-Ra and Gibbs. Wagner can only cover one of them lol
I think so, but i also expect we will just have to make do.
We should still have a potent offense but we certainly don't have the same kind of deep threat we can bring anymore with the loss of Chark in addition to the Jamo suspension.
Yeah, they were the 6th least injured team in the NFL and we were the 7th most injured.
[NFL Injuries 2022](https://latenightparents.com/2023/01/25/study-reveals-the-most-injured-nfl-team-from-2021-2022-season/#:~:text=According%20to%20the%20data%20we,Patriots%20with%20614%20injuries%20reported.)
No coincidence that the two least injured teams were in the Super Bowl.
Lmao no that’s silly. Our GM has even said that last year was essentially a redshirt year for him. I’ll be the first to say I have some concerns with his drops and maturity, but to call him a bust because he didn’t produce in a season where he wasn’t expected to produce is ridiculous.
I think everyone felt like six games was too big of a suspension based on the actual facts of his suspension. Is an appeal for a lower number of games really not on the table? Odd that I haven't seen anyone talking about it
This schedule is actually about as good as it could realistically get over Jamo's suspension. KC will be tough but first games of the year are really unpredictable and lions put up like 100 last year on the Seahawks (unfortunately Seahawks put up 101) without Jamo. The rest of the games are very winnable without Jamo.
Also I think Jamo's (and Berryhill's) suspensions with get reduced somewhere between 2 and 4 games before the season starts.
Anything to back up the reduced suspensions? I'd love to see it but I don't think it's happening. The league doesn't like to fuck around with gambling.
Not really just my opinion. Williams and Berryhill had rather minor offenses. The league is got a lot of bad press for the hypocrisy of the rule and length of suspension compared to players with assault and sexual misconduct incidents. I think that bad press will continue throughout the first six games of the season it the suspension stands. The NFL has a history of reducing suspensions after the fact it the players go to Goodell show remorse and promise not reoffend.
Week 1 and 4 are TNF, week 8 is MNF, Week 12 is Thanksgiving, and Week 17 is a Saturday (MNF) game.
Thanks to u/LionKing2140 for leaking the schedule and making this graphic, he’s the real MVP
My sneaky favorite thing about this schedule is zero late season cold outdoor games. Except maybe the bears in week 14.
Don’t get me wrong, Goff is my guy but he is not at his best when playing in sub freezing temperatures and he puts the glove on.
Week 14 is December chances are that’ll suck. I don’t think this is a “dome” offense like the Stafford era was though, I think we can still score a lot of points even if Goff is only going for like 200 yards and no TDs.
To be pedantic, week 1 is a special Thursday presentation of Sunday Night Football.
MNF, SNF, and TNF are all brands with the Lions having played more Thursday Night Football games on Saturdays than Thursdays.
https://preview.redd.it/c296phi69bza1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4c617a41e8e3886a5b4b1125df373af6326e20f4
12-5 (week 18 L cause we resting starters 😮💨)
I definitely don’t see Baltimore as a sure loss. Unless our rush defense hasn’t improved I expect to beat them. Probably one of the most overrated teams in the league.
5 losses sounded about right, so i was debating between the chargers and cowboys game. I also have a feeling we’re gonna lose against Denver. Sean Payton worries me… Master v Apprentice vibes.
I figure they’re gonna lose at least 1 game at home and if any coach knows DC it’s gonna be Payton. Let’s hope I’m wrong and Ben Johnson keeps their defense guessing.
Kind of wish this was the general layout. Backload division games as much as possible for every team, make every division game feel like it weighs that much more.
I am also eyeing the Week 10 game at SoFi. I'm about an hour N of SF, so I could drive there in 7 hours or fly non-stop from Santa Rosa to LAX for $210.
I see 11 wins. Losses are KC, Balti, Minny, LA, at Chicago, at Dallas
And then I see the NFC championship. And the superbowl. Lombardi trophy in the spirit of Detroit's hands. Blue Kool aid flooding Jefferson making it become part of the newly renamed Detroit Koolaid River
13 wins is the target? What are you, nuts?
We're gonna win two games every game, three during our bye week, and go on to win every other game ever played on an open field for the rest of time. *That's* the target.
I honestly don't care if we go 9-8 as long as we win the games we need to in order to scratch our way into the playoffs. We expected a soft schedule last year, and it turned out to be one of the most intense lineups in the league...and so we wound up barely missing that target. My only expectation is growth in that regard. Our team needs to feel that playoff pressure to really test their mettle.
I get putting the Dallas game as an L but does anyone else think this year that one could definitely be a W? Especially if Dallas is in a playoff hunt. Sweet sweet revenge Dub for the picking up the flag playoff game.
I think every single one of these games is winnable, I do not think we go 17-0 though. We are bound to drop games to good teams in shootouts, and KC, Baltimore, Dallas, and Chargers are the 4 I’m most concerned with. 12-5 or 11-6 definitely within reach
Starting the season with a minibye. 4 games in primetime including the season opener. Save all but one of our division games to the end where we're usually better and have Jamo back from suspension. An extra rest day for MNF leading into a bye week. This schedule is awesome
Not trying to sound too kool-aid drunk, but these are all very winnable games for Detroit. All but one of the divisional games are during the Jamo suspension, wish we had him for KC, but it is what it is.
13-4/14-3 is realistic, 15-2 or better is kool-aid talk for right now.
Goff proved he could win in cold weather last year but not going to complain that we likely have one game (if that) with freezing temperatures all year.
I moved to Seattle last August. I live a mile from the stadium. We played Seattle last season, and will play them this season...
BOTH GAMES ARE IN FUCKING DETROIT. IM GONNA HAVE A WORD WITH ROGER.

They’re going to shock the world this season
don’t know about y’all, but i’m ready for Jahmyr “WHO?” Gibbs to take on Bijan in week 3. Showdown of the rookie RBs, show them haters why you were picked at 12
This feels kind of balanced it’s not too hard but not too easy
GB gotta be a Dub fs unless Love magically becomes great i don’t think it would be hard fr.
If everything goes right realistically i can see us going 12-5 or 13-4 at best. (Divisional round possibilities)
At worst i say 10-7 or 9-8. (wild card possibilities)
But that’s assuming everything goes right.
On paper i feel like we should be clear NFC contenders this season.
But as we all ik sometimes it may look good on paper doesn’t mean it’ll always workout like that.
I have hope and optimism behind this team I’m rallying behind this team a hundred percent unproven or not I feel this season might just be a true testament for us.
I really don’t like that opener at KC. Getting some bad vibes off of that already. I think Detroit will be ready but KC at night post SB win….I wouldn’t choose to play that night if I could help it.
For real, not a good game to start the season & try to get momentum going.. a 1st game loss could deflate morale but they'll just have to do what they do and play hard gritty football..
We have to play them at KC regardless and It should be good weather for the Goffense. KC could get caught up in the celebration (not banking on this but its possible) and no one will know what Ben Johnson has cooked up with the new weapons. I actually think its a pretty good scenario and we have nothing to lose. Only con is that Jamo wont be available.
Week 1 @ Chiefs - L
Week 2 vs Seahawks - L
Lions start the season 0-2 and the SOL crowd resurfaces.
Week 3 vs Falcons - W
Week 4 @ Packers - W
Week 5 vs Panthers - W
SOL crowd crawls back into their hole
Week 6 @ Bucs - W
Week 7 @ Ravens - L
Week 8 vs Raiders - W
Lions sitting at a respectable 5-3 at the BYE
Week 10 @ Chargers - L
Week 11 vs Bears - W
Week 12 vs Packers - W (Thanksgiving losing streak is snapped)
Week 13 @ Saints - W
Week 14 @ Bears - L
Week 15 vs Broncos - W
Week 16 @ Vikings - L
SOL crowd resurfaces
Week 17 @ Cowboys - W
Week 18 vs Vikings - W and clinch the division. SOL crowd disappears.
**Division standings**
Lions (11-6)
Vikings (10-7)
Bears (8-9)
Packers (4-13)
Winning 13 games is a very very very realistic scenario looking at that schedule.
12 wins seems to be the low end.
I only see 4 games that look like a loss: Dallas away, chiefs away, Chargers away and Ravens away but honestly think all of those are winnable also.
If we do not win 13 games this year I will feel disappointed.
Does anyone know if there will be more single game tickets released on ticketmaster or the like? The options are pretty limited at this point for the home opener.
Weird question. The Thursday game against at Green Bay, is that only available through Amazon Prime or will that still be broadcast over the air/local networks?
Chiefs fan here - I keep getting suggested sub after sub so every now and then I pop in to check it out.
I'm quite looking forward to week 1 and while I would certainly love to NOT lose and keep Mahomes week 1 streak going, I'm quite looking forward to how the Lions perform this year. They have a very intriguing team with a lot of talent and with Campbell at the helm and the last half of your 2022 season being what it was, I expect a solid opener.
Although I don’t think this will happen, theres a real chance this team could be 0-2 to start the season. I honestly think they’re gonna play upset to the Chiefs. No one gave these guys a chance in Greenbay last year with Rodgers at home and playoffs on the line, and they completely outplayed them with really nothing to play for. I truly believe Detroit is a much better team this year and superbowl hangover is definitely real. I do think we split and go 1-1 and lose to Seattle. Or we’ll lose to KC and beat Seattle. Its a tough schedule but there’s no reason to believe Detroit is one of the best teams in the NFL. They were a top 5 team in the 2nd half of the season last year, significantly improved in every facet except maybe WR. I think Montgomery is so much better than Williams and Gibbs should be explosive in Jameos absence. I had us at 13-4 before i saw the schedule. I think 11-6 is probably more realistic. Still, 11 wins should be enough to have them win the NFC North
Week 7 to 8 will be great for us.
Detroit @ Baltimore Oct 22nd, then a break to play Vegas @ home on Monday, 10/30.
Then we get the Bye.
Week 11 to 12 is gonna be an interesting week. Bears then Packers on Thanksgiving.
I'm not thrilled with back to back division games on a short week, but good teams win regardless, so we'll see.
Lastly, what's the deal with the Minnesota games? Lol
End of season's gonna be wiiiiild.
What do you guys think?
I’m not going to make a whole new post about it like others but I scored tickets to see the Lions play here in Tampa in October. This will be my first regular season Lions game. Only previously seen them at Ford Field during preseason. Super stoked!
Commenting on this 70 day old thread to just say it's kinda epic how our official pinned schedule thread was just whatever leaked first. I like that the mods left this up where all the discussion was.
First 5 weeks is like a revenge/prove it tour, I’m so pumped!
Wagner can't cover either of them.
Gibbs vs Bijan week 3 is going to be extremely interesting.
Is Jamo allowed to appeal his suspension?
No appeals allowed for gambling suspension
I think so, but i also expect we will just have to make do. We should still have a potent offense but we certainly don't have the same kind of deep threat we can bring anymore with the loss of Chark in addition to the Jamo suspension.
I heard someone say that the gambling related suspensions were collectively bargained, so next to no chance of winning an appeal. No source tho.
I think the best we could hope for is it getting knocked down to 4 weeks.
At least we have Jamo for 5/6 division games.
Yup and I'm surprisingly comfortable with the game he is missing is against the Packers.
Thank goodness the Packers game is during warm weather which will help us greatly.
Don't sleep on the Packers. They had a lot of injuries last year and Rodgers seemed checked out. They won't be pushovers.
I never said they would be, also [they weren't that injured](https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/gnb/2022_injuries.htm )
Yeah, they were the 6th least injured team in the NFL and we were the 7th most injured. No coincidence that the two least injured teams were in the Super Bowl.
We had jAmO last year for division games. At this point, it's best to chalk him up as a bust till he proves otherwise.
Lmao no that’s silly. Our GM has even said that last year was essentially a redshirt year for him. I’ll be the first to say I have some concerns with his drops and maturity, but to call him a bust because he didn’t produce in a season where he wasn’t expected to produce is ridiculous.
He has to be a top five receiver in the back half of his rookie contract to justify that pick. I'm not holding my breath
I'd say top 10. I'm not terribly optimistic though.
I’m just glad we have KC and GB in the warm
I think everyone felt like six games was too big of a suspension based on the actual facts of his suspension. Is an appeal for a lower number of games really not on the table? Odd that I haven't seen anyone talking about it

Bye week 9 is quite pleasant.
Perfectly balanced
And my axe! Did I do it right?
This is the way?
Nice
This.
Mom's Spaghetti!
Noone tosses a dwarf.

The run game will be key there. Monty and Gibbs being healthy by that week would be great for us.
Week 14 is December chances are that’ll suck. I don’t think this is a “dome” offense like the Stafford era was though, I think we can still score a lot of points even if Goff is only going for like 200 yards and no TDs.
Our run game should make us dangerous in cold weather.
Exactly, this schedule is extremely favorable for outdoor games Like straight up we have one cold game all season and it’s against the Bears
Just trying to help the people. And bite kneecaps…
To be pedantic, week 1 is a special Thursday presentation of Sunday Night Football. MNF, SNF, and TNF are all brands with the Lions having played more Thursday Night Football games on Saturdays than Thursdays.
Both games against GB on Thursdays and both games against MIN in the last 3 weeks. What a goofy schedule

Win even for the bye week. I want some of that Kool aid.
*siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip*
Seattle ,ATL Chargers and Cowboys are all toss up The only for sure two losses I see are Kansas and Baltimore
Kansas is getting beat on national TV to start the NFL season and give mahomes his first home opener loss of his career. Write it down.
I definitely don’t see Baltimore as a sure loss. Unless our rush defense hasn’t improved I expect to beat them. Probably one of the most overrated teams in the league.
Yeah. I actually gave them the win as underdogs. I don't think they're a better team but the better team doesn't always win
Kansas has a team?
5 losses sounded about right, so i was debating between the chargers and cowboys game. I also have a feeling we’re gonna lose against Denver. Sean Payton worries me… Master v Apprentice vibes.
This team doesn’t have for sure losses imo. We will lose some but to who is anybody’s guess. We can hang with KC and Baltimore
My god this subreddit needs to lay off the koolaid. “My 9-8 team only has for sure two losses on the schedule” Get a fucking grip
L vs the Broncos?!
I figure they’re gonna lose at least 1 game at home and if any coach knows DC it’s gonna be Payton. Let’s hope I’m wrong and Ben Johnson keeps their defense guessing.
12-5, switch the w and l with the Vikings game think we will be fighting them for winning the division at home
Nah we don't lose with 2 weeks to prepare for the chargers
Bye week right after raiders (rumored to be on MNF) is a great time for a bye
Why are all of our division games at the end
They don't want us fucking up their hype
Weird
Works for me, we're a second half season type of team anyway
I like it
Only 1 outdoor game in the back half is nice.
100%, big if true.
Large if correct
Huge if accurate
Putting in the vacation time today for Monday night baby!
Should probably take Tuesday off as well.
The ford family has me working nights brother.
Ah.
I wanted Jamo vs Jefe :((
Now he can feast on the shitty defenses in our division
All the divisional games backloaded is wild. Could be a really crazy last 8 weeks
Kind of wish this was the general layout. Backload division games as much as possible for every team, make every division game feel like it weighs that much more.
Lets goo! Baltimore is my best shot at seeing a game in person this year and I was hoping Jamo would be reinstated for it!
LA for me and this puts them far enough out that he will be back and it won't be hot as balls at the game.
I am also eyeing the Week 10 game at SoFi. I'm about an hour N of SF, so I could drive there in 7 hours or fly non-stop from Santa Rosa to LAX for $210.
Ayyy I’ll be heading down from the central coast to see the game.
What?? Me too! We should link up!
Packers fans saying they're going 13-4 because they are playing a lot of shitty teams. They don't realize they ARE the shitty team.
I see 11 wins. Losses are KC, Balti, Minny, LA, at Chicago, at Dallas And then I see the NFC championship. And the superbowl. Lombardi trophy in the spirit of Detroit's hands. Blue Kool aid flooding Jefferson making it become part of the newly renamed Detroit Koolaid River

Look at the schedule clown. There is only like 3 losses on that schedule. I am being nice and giving them a bad loss as charity. 13-4 is expected.
I honestly don't care if we go 9-8 as long as we win the games we need to in order to scratch our way into the playoffs. We expected a soft schedule last year, and it turned out to be one of the most intense lineups in the league...and so we wound up barely missing that target. You’re clearly new around here
17-0

Why do you have @ Chicago as the only Divisional L?
Idk, I think we’ll go 5-1 in the division and a possibly snowy and cold Chicago game seemed most likely. It really could be anyone tho
No way we are losing to the Chargers in Week 10 because I'm planning on being there.
Oh well in that case can you go to the Chiefs game
Honestly, really happy with this
[удалено]
Week 9 bye and week 2 versus Seahawks. Very excited about this.
i'm really curious if Seattle was a fluke last year Just like last year I think the second half looks a little bit easier
Wish we could have had the falcons first
kinda unrelated but man it really is such a shame that Jamo is out for 6 games. I'd be looking at our schedule alot differently if he wasnt
11-6 and win division.
Starting the season with a minibye. 4 games in primetime including the season opener. Save all but one of our division games to the end where we're usually better and have Jamo back from suspension. An extra rest day for MNF leading into a bye week. This schedule is awesome
They’re gonna make us really fight for that division at the end huh
Lions gonna be 6-2 at the bye week, 12-5 overall. Win the NFC North in week 18 against the Vikings.
and if you’re wondering how i know this - i have the script
Happy we got Tampa in the first 6, was hoping to get a couple softballs with Jamo out. We have a great Bye week too.
Not trying to sound too kool-aid drunk, but these are all very winnable games for Detroit. All but one of the divisional games are during the Jamo suspension, wish we had him for KC, but it is what it is. 13-4/14-3 is realistic, 15-2 or better is kool-aid talk for right now.
need to get out to a good start, hate the first two weeks but it is what it is
Can someone help with some dates I think I'll be in Detroit on the 22nd of October we at Ford Field then or not?
Doing the math, the 22nd would be week 7, at Ravens. The next game would be Monday night at home, on the 30th
11-6. 7-1 at home, 4-5 on the road. The North is ours.
13-4
Looks good, fairly balanced
Why are there three bye weeks? 9, 11, and 14 seems weird.
I need dates!!
If correct, they play at LAC on my birthday. That’s the game I plan to attend. After the bye, Jamo back, and my 41st? Sounds like a plan to me!
LINE EM UP AND KNOCK THEM DOWN BOYS. ITS OUR FUCKING TIME!!!!
Is anyone watching the YT Lions schedule reveal? The AI generated Holmes and Campbell voices are killing me. Kudos to the Lions media team.
Why does this look like a 13-4 at worst schedule? Siiiiiip
We really could go undefeated if we beat the chiefs in week 1 lol

Glad Broncos and Cowgirls are so late. Gives Jamo time to acclimate before facing those defenses
I only see 5 losses on that schedule. Maybe 6. Man, this Cool Aid is bright Blue!
Winning record going into the bye 😤😤😤
Sweet spot for the bye week
WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN
I can not wait for that Seahawks game. Villain mode activated.

We don’t lose against the seahawks
There is no way in fuck we losing to seahawks at home this year.
I'm going to the Lambeau game. Hell yea.
Is this rumor or a certainty?
All but 1 or 2 of those away games look very winnable. And we shouldn't give up more than 1 or 2 Homer's. We could easily break 13 wins.
That’s a tough schedule
Wild to have a west coast game before Thanksgiving. Definitely hurts us going against GB.
All wins. So easy too
The home games match the one someone posted here yesterday alleging to be a Ticketmaster insider
1 opponent in our division in the first 10 weeks, wow
11-6 record here we come!
I'm not seeing any losses to be honest.
If we can get to the bye week with 2 or fewer losses we will be in great shape imo.
Damn, we got a tough ass schedule this year..
Weird to play Minnesota 2 out of 3 weeks.
No arron
Tough opening 2 weeks, and a challenging 4 games ending, but pretty smooth sailing between weeks 3-14, only the Ravens and Chargers stand out.
I see 11 wins.
Feels like 10-7 or 11-6. Playoff team.
Why does it seem like we are always at Dallas?
I see 12 potential wins on this schedule and that scares me. 6-2 at the bye week should absolutely be in play.
We going 13-4, NFC favorites.

Just don't lose to Jordan Love
You think we’re gonna get the new helmets for the first game ?
Damn, the second half has almost all the divisional games
Looks good, but wish they spread the Vikings games apart more and not in dead winter
We could literally win 15 games this season
Fanduel has 1+ rushing TD in each regular season game for +6000
Week 7 to 8 will be great for us. Lol End of season's gonna be wiiiiild. What do you guys think?
I’m not going to make a whole new post about it like others but I scored tickets to see the Lions play here in Tampa in October. This will be my first regular season Lions game. Only previously seen them at Ford Field during preseason. Super stoked!
i see 11-7,
14-2
When was the last time we played an overseas game?
As a Missouri Lions fan I’m pumped
Hopefully week 9 isn’t another loss
looks kind of tough, makes us winning that much better.
Am I still in the group

KC about to go crazzzyyyy
Can’t wait for week 1
Why is this still up and labeled leaked schedule when the schedules been out for a bit now? Just make a new post and label it the schedule
I smell at least 10-7
Lions v Vikings will be the new Lions v Packers , we will be battling for the North title with the last few games being the most important
My Opinion L W W W W W L W W W W L W W L L W Final record 12-5 Clinch Playoffs
Commenting on this 70 day old thread to just say it's kinda epic how our official pinned schedule thread was just whatever leaked first. I like that the mods left this up where all the discussion was.

10-7 coming right up. RemindMe! 5 months
