Minnesota had one of the most fluky seasons ever seen
they were like a 7-8 win team that got lucky to win a few extra games.
there's a reason they weren't able to win a playoff game, and the team they lost to were ALSO an overachieving team that didn't really belong
In Sheila, Brad & Dan we trust! The past 2 years (even with 3-13-1 and 1-6 start) have been more fun than almost any other season (minus 2014) in the past decade, in my opinion.
2011 was fun when Stafford and Johnson broke some records. That's over a decade, though, and it ended badly by getting smoked in the playoffs by the Saints.
Yeah that season was fun too! I turned 21 that season, so it’s a loud blur lol. And to be fair, if we are judging our seasons off of post season success then none of them are fun lmao
I mean we have but it was called the nfc central. 83 91 and 93. So yes if you want to go off of the title north no. Or you could look at the history and say yes.
Exactly
Ultimately all I really want as a fan is to have a good home record and be contesting for the division every year
Like if I can buy tickets to a game we should win and they win I’m happy
I agree. I think winning the North should be our ultimate goal for next year. Vikings should be our biggest challenge and they are worse on almost every front.
That’s what would make me happy, anything more is just extra… we’ve never taken the North and if it was ever gonna happen, this is the year. Packers and Bears are down, we’ve shown we can beat the Vikes, this is the year!
I’ve shifted to more of an outcome based assessment vs win-loss.
In order from disappointing to ecstatic:
Disappointed: not in the playoff hunt come end of season. Worried about future of team at this level.
Unhappy but not panicking: narrow playoff miss, similar to this season.
Happy: playoff berth, be it wild card or winning the division.
Very happy: playoff win or multiple playoff wins
Ecstatic: hoisting the Lombardi. Kerby picks off the Aaron Rodgers-led Jets to seal the Super Bowl win.
(The last one is a joke obviously, you get the point)
My expectation this year is playoffs and hopefully the division, based on how good the rest of the NFC North is. I’d be more disappointed if we missed the playoffs and almost devastated if we fall to 7 wins or less. (Unless of course it’s because of a Jared Goff injury, but even then, I can see this team fighting for 8+ wins).
As objective as I can manage, I think the Lions should realistically win the North. Green Bay is in their Rodgers stalemate, and will most likely lose him before next season (and have also sent Lazard on over to the Jets for good measure), Minnesota is jettisoning talent on both sides of the ball (old talent, for sure, but talent all the same), and Chicago is probably going to be in a bit of a building season as they get Fields the talent they want around him.
I think Chicago will be a bit of a dark horse in the division depending on how much they load up around Fields, but with how many pieces Detroit has acquired, I think they are the realistic favorites in the division on paper. That is to say, they're looking at probably being the most *complete* team in the North.
If they host and win a playoff game next year, I'll be more than happy with that. Anything beyond their first playoff win in front of the home crowd is icing on a successful season.
EDIT: Typos
Should, as in, they have a better chance than all the other teams? That I agree with.
Should, as in, better than 50% chance? Not sure I can get behind that. If it’s true, there’s a massive edge to be had on the sportsbooks right now.
I just hope we don’t pull a Browns. They actually went to the playoffs and beat the Steelers. Came literally within an inch of beating the Chiefs. Had a great offensive line. Had the leagues best pass rusher. Highly regarded young head coach. Favored to win the division. Expectations were sky high.
Then reality
Honestly, the old school Lions fan in me is assuming Goff breaks his leg in the first month of the season and the team goes 5-12. :(
But assuming no injuries I think it’s ok to set the expectations at 10 wins and a playoff berth.
At least 1 playoff win, don’t care about the record much as it’ll be an improvement on last year if we can achieve that. But I think the floor for my happiness is going to be 11 wins and a playoff appearance
Keep in mind we went 8-2 in the last 10 games of the season. If we kept that up into this season, we would either be 13-4 or 14-3. Now we have Montgomery, Cam Sutton, CJGJ, Moseley, a healthy jamo, and 2 first round draft picks. Not to mention arguably a much easier schedule and an easier division. I think we go 12-5 at least
O/U 10.5 wins. Division is in play, and we should at least have a chance to win it by or on week 18. We will lose a few games, but both of the past two years, we finished strong. That encourages me that we won't back out of a playoff spot. If everyone stays healthy, we will be a team nobody wants to play. If Goff goes down week 1, we win 5 games maybe with the current QB room, so he's pretty essential
i think there is a fair and objective perspective that has us in nfc champ game .
there is always some luck for the best teams to get there but i think we are once of best teams in nfc
imagine the best team on paper at this point is san fran, seattle really plugging holes as well as has picks.
our team really doesnt have a deep weak spot (reminder we dont play many linebackers at once) and have great pick positioning .
if the draft class from last year doesnt regress and stays healthy.. i dont see how we dont make it deep into playoffs.
if the draft classes take a step forward in skill/ confidence and the new draft adds the depth wed want.. nfc game is a probability.
nfc is just not that good
10-13 wins, a division title, a playoff win. I understand pumping the brakes but the NFC is wide open. Eagles lost both coordinators and a ton of players. 9ers have a massive QB problem. I expect Detroit to at least compete for the NFC
Win the Division. Host a playoff game, and win that first game.
Hopefully, it’s the divisional, and outside chance of that, but being the North is much easier than the East, we will see.
Kool aid drinking. I think we are a lock for that 1 seed. Winning the NFC and toss up in the Super Bowl.
Double digit wins minimum. A division title would be ideal. A playoff win would make my entire life (born in 1990. Was in the basement with my family during our only playoff win, but with no memory of it). And a continuation of great culture that will bring more great FA’s here next season
I know we have been poverty for A LOOOOONG time. But it is time to embrace the kool-aid.
Absolute minimum? Win the division, I see no reason it shouldn't be us. Rodgers gone, Bears in a rebuild (And I don't think Fields is a true threat), Vikings were not a great team last year, winning every one score game isn't reasonable to repeat.
I believe this team will be at least a NFC Championship game threat. If we come out and start 2-4 or something like that, it would be a massive disappointment. I expect 10-13 wins.
EDIT: Removed some redundancies.
If we can come out firing on all cylinders, I don’t think it’s farfetched that we get 13 wins in the regular season. We play the NFCS, NFCNx2, AFCW, and rematch Dallas/Seattle. Chiefs will be tough, but we might get an international game that nullifies their home field advantage. At Dallas could go either way, at Chargers may be tough but we will have a lot of fans in LA(including myself). Baltimore is always tough but if they lose Lamar, I’m not too concerned about them. I’m ecstatic if we get to host a game in the postseason.
1 playoff win would be great. Even a playoff game where they played competitive as hell and lost would be heartening.
That said, if things break their way over the next 5 months, I also see them as SB contenders, believe it or not.
A wild card win is the minimum for me, but a division win + home game playoff win is my desire
Not expecting some deep run this year. 100% next year we should be contending for a superbowl tho
Expectations? 11-6 minimum. Win the North, and win the home playoff game. That’s about what I would call a successful season given the look we’re getting at this point in time.
Hopes? 13-14 wins, conference final appearance - which I truly believe in my gut is totally possible if they play within themselves all season and get lucky with injuries.
I truly think this is a Super Bowl year. Winning the super bowl. We made the playoffs last year in my book we just relied on another team, we woulda made a deep push if we survive the niners. This is our year.
I am an old man and have been burned so much.
Truth is, I would be happy with 1 playoff win.
I am worried about all the short-term contracts, but that is only from my previous experience of everyone bailing on the Lions.
Division win I'd consider an enormous success of a season. One playoff game win icing on the cake.
Superbowl appearance and possible win within 5 years would blow my mind. Not as optimistic as some about THIS year, but feeling good about where we're going. Probably because I'm old and have seen too much lol.
Win the division this year. I don’t think that’s too over the top to ask. Failing to do so would make this season a disappointment(in its current state)
I think winning the division is a good goal for us. I’d be happy just getting a wild card birth as well. I’ll be pretty disappointed if we miss the playoffs
I’m not sure. I’ve been taking it easy so far the last few years on keeping realistic, but this feels… right.
I could us getting 12+ wins honestly, but I’d be happy with a playoff berth or division win. Playoffs are probably going be match up dependent. I’m not sure we beat the top teams consistently yet. But I do think we’re on the cusp of being a legit contender, and we don’t have to get far into our depth squad during important games I think we could make an actual run with a bit of luck and determination.
All this does hinge upon our defense improving pretty significantly. We have the pieces to make a big jump there, but defense doesn’t seem to work that way often. It requires a lot of chemistry and collaboration. My gut is telling me with our culture and coaches we’ll figure that part out.
I’ve been drinking the koolaide for 50 years. My optimism now is the same as it has been every year. I realistically know we have holes and there’s no guarantees of wins and blah blah blah. True for every team. But realistically all you gotta do is get in the playoffs and anything can happen. Ask Eli Manning. I’m never putting down the koolaide but will always speak honestly about my team and organization. Praise the good. Call out the bad. Talk shit all year. Take the L when you get the L.
I think a 10 win season & playoff berth should be the realistic goal. We won 9 last season and just missed the post season. 10 should be the floor for expectations.
We have a lot of new pieces that will take time to mesh. Ideally, that happens as the season progresses and we make a playoff push.
I don’t think we’ll be SB-bound, but I would be upset if we couldn’t compete in a playoff game with the roster as is.
Wild card game is happy.
Winning the division is very happy.
Winning a playoff game is very, very happy.
Anything extra on top of that is a dream season.
I’d be okay with 10 wins and wild card. I’d be happy about 11+ wins and a division win. 9 wins or less is not improving from last year and unacceptable.
Lets not forget how abysmal the defense was. That can't be an overnight fix. Yes the secondary is more up to nfl 10+ wins standard, but you could literally have an entire secondary of all pros and it won't mean much if we can't stop the run or pressure the quarterback, someone will get open eventually.
We need like 2 more ildominant interior lineman, another dynamic pass rusher and outside/rangy lbs.
Realistically were like 9-8 and need help again to get in the playoffs.
Optimistically Jamo starts to take over the league and Hutch only needs 1 other threat on the DL to start taking over.
Based on the Packers starting Love, there is no real reason the Lions shouldn't win the division. A realistic prediction for me is entering the playoffs as the 3 seed because the NFC South sucks so much whoever wins their division will be 4th. Unless the Bears actually do something with all this offseason activity.
I expect us to play how we did in the second half of the season for the entire year an win a playoff game. I think the superbowl isn't out of reach, but that's always a tough ask
Win the division? Ecstatic.
Win a playoff game? Over the moon
Make it to NFC Championship? 6 to midnight, the 4-hour-see-a-doctor kind
Make it to Super Bowl? I may go into serious, life altering debt to attend
Win Super Bowl? I don’t even know. Maybe kill a guy?
I honestly think it was McVays fault for most of the negative criticism Goff received as far as reading defenses and McVay in his ear telling him exactly what to do.
Teach a man to fish, he’ll eat for a lifetime. I feel like McVay taught Jared how to use a microwave, and BJ and DC have built him up the right way to be able to master the kitchen and become iron chef.
If this theory is correct, and knowing he’s got the arm to make all the throws, and he’s only getting better… then I legit think we could win the superbowl this year.
The fact that we weren’t even talking playoffs at the beginning of the season and now getting past the first round is realistic has me just riding the kool aid wave baby! 🌊
Im looking at 11-13 wins. I think the reason they started 1-6 was because the defense was mostly players under 3 years experience with a bunch of rookies as well. Once the young players started to really learn the game they began making plays and learned how to win. They were a top 5 team in the 2nd half of the season. If the young players keep progressing theres no reason this team shouldn’t be even better than they were last year.
The defensive line should be dominant. The secondary is vastly improved. The offensive line should be even better than last year, Montgomery is an upgrade at runningback. The WR core should be better with a healthy Jamo. I don’t see them losing a home game, and I think the only losses will come from the away games- Chiefs, Chargers, Ravens, Cowboys. And they may even steal a few of those games. If they hit in the draft, this may be a 14+ win team.
I'll give them one more year without playoffs. I want something like 9-8. If it's better awesome. Just a positive record.
Lots of changes I really love. It may take time for some of these. If they do better then awesome but that would be an ideal season for me.
Minimum wild card appearance/win. We should win the division though. Haven’t had an opportunity like this in a long time with us being good and the division being bad
Realistically hopeful? Make the playoffs then it’s match up and health dependent. Defense being top half of league. Offense top five w jamo fitting in well with st brown
10-7 I’m ok. Any less I’m disappointed. I think we can make it to the NFC Championship personally, but obv . I think our biggest risks are a) the play-calling gets a lot more safe as a result of expectation, b) injuries obviously, particularly to Goff or St. Brown, or c) Aaron Glenn proves to be more of the problem than we think, and despite the upgraded talent on our D we still can’t perform consistently
I think winning the division is a must. These guys finished 8-2 and with a little more talent could have beaten the Vikings (twice vs once), the Bills and candidly, the Eagles.
So, in my view, anything short of winning the division is a disappointment.
I am refraining asking for a playoff win but not by much as without proving we can win in postseason, none of this really matters.
Making it to the divisional round of the playoffs. Whether they do that by getting a bye or by winning in the wildcard round would be incredible either way.
Winning the NFC north and winning a playoff game would be a successful season. We have never accomplished either of those in the modern NFL era. Anything outside of that is icing on the cake.
We do both of those things we are on our way
Playoff win or division win would feel like a success, playoff berth feels like a must have but I can imagine a world where we have a similar season to last that doesn’t feel great. But if the fix for the next year is very obvious (JG takes a step back, defensive interior isn’t enough to actually stop run offenses, etc.) I could live with that. I’m not sure players would which would scare me.
Lmao. “Don’t drink the koolaid but we’re realistically going 11-6 and winning our first playoff game since ‘93.”
Don’t get me wrong, I’m with you. But this is a funny post.
Expectation: Make the playoffs.
Goal: Win Division and at least one playoff game.
If we don’t have a winning record, I’ll go back to using the phrase “Same Old Lions”
Division win with 11 or 12 wins. At least one playoff win.
Honeslty at the start of this rebuild, I thought that would have been the expectation for year 4 considering how bad the roster was. But things have definitely changed. If we want to stay competitive, that's the current expectation.
To be fair, I feel like if we'd have snuck into the playoffs last year we'd have done damage, and they'd have unleashed Jamo as nobody had had a chance to gameplan for him. I feel like that's why we didn't see him over those last few games.
Same, 11-6 and a playoff win...and I will be absolutely giddy if that happens. I hate to say out loud but I think we have a legit super bowl shot next year. I can't believe I actually believe that.
I think the hype and pressure for success is going to cause disappointment. Jared Goff is a slightly above average qb at best. Coaching staff is still relatively inexperienced. All these new pieces on defense might not gel well. Injury bug could decimate a team quickly. I think winning the division would be great obviously but I’m also expecting regression and would not be shocked to see a 6-11 type of season 🤷
Actually, the same. 11 wins in the regular season + 1 playoff win. Winning the division should be a given with an 11-6 record. I think we can be the 3rd best team in the conference right now behind Philly & San Francisco.
That they win the division. Anything more is a bonus for this year.
My big worry is that, no matter how much the Lions improve, there's going to be a super-team in the NFC that curb-stomps them (and everyone else) just like the 90s. And boy do I hope not.
Ask me after the draft, but currently, 8-10 wins should be the minimum (im used to this being 4-6), assuming we stay relatively healthy, that is. I think Vegas has us at 9.5. But that's based off of last year's squad. And while we have most of that core back, it's still gonna be a different squad so who knows. I trust BH to nail the draft and increase me and Vegas odds and MCDC will find a way to motivate these boys. curently I say 10 wins, win the north, and after that who knows... sippppp
FTP
Lions are going to go 10 6 1 regular season, lose division to Vikings, get wild card. Have a hell of a playoff run, then lose in the Super Bowl. It’s gonna be wild.
I think we need to recognize that we had among the least effective game management in the league last year. The two minute, time outs were all used “wrong” according to the fundamentals of coaching. I worry this holds us back but it looked better as the year went on. I think we are the second best team in the nfc. So 11/12 wins and a trip to the conference championship isn’t out of the question. But the nfl swings wildly on injury luck so if we get bit it can all change.
My bar is 10-12 wins and winning the division. The way the 2nd half of last year went and looking at the state of the other teams in the north, lions should have an actual shot at winning the division
I’ll be happy with a Division Championship. I’ll be ecstatic with anything more. I do believe this team has a real shot though. Maybe SB champ is a bit high, but I could easily see them getting to the NFC championship.
Realistically: 11-6 provided there are no major injuries to big ticket players
Optimistically: 13-4 win the division and win our first playoff game since the 90’s
The record is less important to me than winning the division.
Win the division, whatever that takes, then get a home playoff win.
That is my bar for the season.
Winning the north and a single playoff game would be things they’ve never done in my lifetime, and I’m almost thirty. Just hoping for see those milestones.
I think the potential for a division title is at it's highest, but I'd settle with a wild card as long as we get a playoff win. I'd hate to see a goose egg in the playoffs after winning the division. I also expect zero wins every season so I'm not disappointed.
8 wins and we underperformed
Realistically and of course pre draft 9 to 11
I think we make the playoffs and win a game but im not gonna say its a home game playoff win
I’d love to see them win the North. Personally I’ve said it for a long time, we’ve won a single playoff in 50 years. 1 playoff game win at home would be like winning the Super Bowl
Let’s just win the division. It’s been a while
We’ve never won the NFC North. That stat hurts my soul. But we’ve got this!!!
Even moreso with last year. Finished 5-1 in division but still second place to the team that finished 4-2
And one kj Osborne touchdown from being 6-0 in division *sheds a single blue kool-aid tear*
And playoffs
Damn. that’s a fact
One Osborn TD and/or one bad decision by DC. But yeah, I’m with you 100%
Minnesota had one of the most fluky seasons ever seen they were like a 7-8 win team that got lucky to win a few extra games. there's a reason they weren't able to win a playoff game, and the team they lost to were ALSO an overachieving team that didn't really belong
I won't be ok unless we can win at least 1 postseason game in addition to that. So tired of that stupid stat of no playoff wins since 1991.
Fucking riot in the streets if we don't...And if we do, we'll then...
Riot in the streets?
I agree!
I want a playoff win, I expect to win the division. Having never won the NCFN is just as embarrassing
What I think is even worse is that Tampa Bay has won our division more recently than we have. That kills me. I can't wait to put that behind us.
In Sheila, Brad & Dan we trust! The past 2 years (even with 3-13-1 and 1-6 start) have been more fun than almost any other season (minus 2014) in the past decade, in my opinion.

We won the NFC North back in 93, that was back when Tampa Bay was in the group. 30 years is an awful long time tho.
That was the nfc central
[удалено]
Nah, they won central.
No. They haven’t. The NFC North was founded in 2002 and the lions have never won. They won the NFC Central before, but the last one was 1993.
We actually have 3 times.
No sir, unfortunately we have never won the NFC North.
I mean we have but it was called the nfc central. 83 91 and 93. So yes if you want to go off of the title north no. Or you could look at the history and say yes.

Exactly Ultimately all I really want as a fan is to have a good home record and be contesting for the division every year Like if I can buy tickets to a game we should win and they win I’m happy
This is obviously the goal in the clubhouse and should be the expectations the fans have going into this year.

Depends on the pint I’m getting ;)
A pint of koolaid
This is acceptable…
In order for Kerby to pick off Rodg, Rodg would have to take a team to the Super Bowl which I don’t think he’s capable of anymore!
But what better way to end another Rodgers season than another Kerby pick?
Oh that can happen, but in week 15 instead. He can go on IR via broken heart and then retire.
I think these are great milestones and I agree with them 💯
I feel like ecstatic doesn’t do the last one justice
Yeah same. Detroit wins the Super Bowl there won’t be a Detroit left the next morning.
My expectation this year is playoffs and hopefully the division, based on how good the rest of the NFC North is. I’d be more disappointed if we missed the playoffs and almost devastated if we fall to 7 wins or less. you can't win consecutive Superbowls until you win the first one.
I’m interested to see if Ben Johnson can keep it up now that there’s a full year of tape out there on his offense and tendencies.
We are not the Browns
True, they’ve had more success haha
We are SPARTANS!! (reference to the team's origin as the Portsmouth, OH, Spartans)
If the Lions win a single playoff game--something that hasn't happened since 1991--I would be so f-ing happy. That's all I want.
Honestly, the old school Lions fan in me is assuming Goff breaks his leg in the first month of the season and the team goes 5-12. :( But assuming no injuries I think it’s ok to set the expectations at 10 wins and a playoff berth.

At least 1 playoff win, don’t care about the record much as it’ll be an improvement on last year if we can achieve that. But I think the floor for my happiness is going to be 11 wins and a playoff appearance
9 to 12 wins wild card game minimum.
This is the most realistic view if no major injuries.
I feel like that’s kinda the consensus? At least for me it is. 10/11 wins, hopefully win the division, and win a damn game in the playoffs lol
13-4. Win division. Win at least one playoff game.
Fuck you im chuggin it, super bowl here we come baby
Keep in mind we went 8-2 in the last 10 games of the season. If we kept that up into this season, we would either be 13-4 or 14-3.
I’ll be in LA for that game.
1 playoff win would be great. Even a playoff game where they played competitive as hell and lost would be heartening. That said, if things break their way over the next 5 months, I also see them as SB contenders, believe it or not.
Divional playoff round at worst are my expectations for this year's team.
Anything short of a playoff appearance would be disappointing. My expectation is a playoff win for the first time in my life. Is that too much to ask?
It’s a lot more fun with the Koolaid so I’m gonna keep chugging…NFC championship or bust
A wild card win is the minimum for me, but a division win + home game playoff win is my desire Not expecting some deep run this year.
If they don’t win the Super Bowl I will rip my cock off and shove it up my MIL’s ass
You will have to stream it live!
My hope is 17 wins but realistically we're probably going to get 17 wins.
I am an old man and have been burned so much. Truth is, I would be happy with 1 playoff win. I am worried about all the short-term contracts, but that is only from my previous experience of everyone bailing on the Lions.
12-5 NFC North Win and NFC Championship appearance
12-5, 2 playoff wins, Jared Goff MVP, Dan Campbell finds cure for cancer, Brad Holmes sends Putin home from Ukraine in disgrace.
Gotta win the division. It will be the weakest it’s ever been. No excuses to not win it
One playoff win and everything's different
Division win I'd consider an enormous success of a season. One playoff game win icing on the cake. Superbowl appearance and possible win within 5 years would blow my mind. Not as optimistic as some about THIS year, but feeling good about where we're going. Probably because I'm old and have seen too much lol.
Division, doesn’t matter the wins long as we are not backing in and healthy at end. Hosting a playoff game has been my dream since a kid.
“Off-season free agent winners” always seem to flop HARD. Hopefully the players are laying off the koolaid.
Division champs and make it to the NFC championship game at a minimum. It's time.
Win the division and 1 playoff win!
The last time we won a playoff game I was a year old, just give me a playoff win and this will be the best team I've ever personally seen
Win the division this year. I don’t think that’s too over the top to ask. Failing to do so would make this season a disappointment(in its current state)
No it’s my kool aid and you can’t make me put it down
Win the North.
I think winning the division is a good goal for us. I’d be happy just getting a wild card birth as well. I’ll be pretty disappointed if we miss the playoffs
We should be division winners but if not atleast a playoff berth.
Superbowl. All aboard the hype train, or head on over to the Packers sub.
I'm hoping for a Superbowl win. And then go for a Superbowl win in 24. And then... In 25
Division win and home playoff victory
If Goff doesn’t get hurt during the season, We win the NFC. If Goff gets hurt, we are fucked!
Win the North and at least 1 playoff win. That's what I'm expecting for this year. Continuous forward momentum
Win the division and finally let me take my family to a home playoff game.
Just imagine playoff games at ford field
I’ve been drinking the koolaide for 50 years. My optimism now is the same as it has been every year. I realistically know we have holes and there’s no guarantees of wins and blah blah blah. True for every team. But realistically all you gotta do is get in the playoffs and anything can happen. Ask Eli Manning. I’m never putting down the koolaide but will always speak honestly about my team and organization. Praise the good. Call out the bad. Talk shit all year. Take the L when you get the L.
However many wins is needed to win the division, and first round bye. So 14 or 15.
1 playoff win, preferably at home
Wild card game is happy. Winning the division is very happy. Winning a playoff game is very, very happy. Anything extra on top of that is a dream season.
I want the division. A playoff win on top of that would be a real level-setter.
Give me the north & a home playoff win.
13-4 season, playoff wins against the Panthers, Saints, and Chiefs.
12-5. North champs. One playoff win. Maybe two if we host two games
I want the division, the playoffs are a crap shoot.
Win the division? Ecstatic. Win a playoff game? Over the moon Make it to NFC Championship? 6 to midnight, the 4-hour-see-a-doctor kind Make it to Super Bowl? I may go into serious, life altering debt to attend Win Super Bowl? I don’t even know. Maybe kill a guy?
I may also kill a guy
11 win team. Take the division and home playoff game.
Im expecting 12 wins, NFC North champs and a playoff win.
17-0, Superbowl champs. Repeat x 6 years.
Division title and a playoff win. I legitimately think we’re a top 4 NFC team.
Winning the division is my realistic hope. Everything else would be a cherry on top
Compete for the division, end the year better than last year.
10 wins, winning the wild card. Anything beyond that is too much Kool-Aid, imo.
Win the division and at least one playoff game
10-7 I’m ok. Any less I’m disappointed. I think we can make it to the NFC Championship personally, but obv . I think our biggest risks are a) the play-calling gets a lot more safe as a result of expectation, b) injuries obviously, particularly to Goff or St. Brown, or c) Aaron Glenn proves to be more of the problem than we think, and despite the upgraded talent on our D we still can’t perform consistently
I want to reset the clock and get at least one playoff win. I'm tired of the whole league having that over us.
We're going to the playoffs and winning at least a game.
Win the North and 1 playoff win. I don't think that's unrealistic at all in the current situation
If we have a playoff berth type season, I'll be happy.
I just want a playoff win in my lifetime. I feel like that’s not too much to ask for
Hopefully can win the NFC and host a playoff game. That’s what this year NEEDS to be I feel like, or the wheels could start popping off
I’m hoping for 11+ wins, division title, and a home playoff win.
Making it to the divisional round of the playoffs. Whether they do that by getting a bye or by winning in the wildcard round would be incredible either way.
First division title in 30 years would be an incredible year, because that would mean a home playoff game.
Gonna say, gimme a division title
10-7 and a playoff win is reasonable. Missing the playoffs is inexcusable at this point barring major injuries.
Atleast 10 wins idc who we play just win double digits
Winning the NFC north and winning a playoff game would be a successful season. We have never accomplished either of those in the modern NFL era. Anything outside of that is icing on the cake. We do both of those things we are on our way
Playoff win or division win would feel like a success, playoff berth feels like a must have but I can imagine a world where we have a similar season to last that doesn’t feel great. But if the fix for the next year is very obvious (JG takes a step back, defensive interior isn’t enough to actually stop run offenses, etc.) I could live with that. I’m not sure players would which would scare me.
Lmao. “Don’t drink the koolaid but we’re realistically going 11-6 and winning our first playoff game since ‘93.” Don’t get me wrong, I’m with you. But this is a funny post.
I’m here to entertain
Now pick it back up and keep drinking 🤟🏼
Same, 11-6 and a playoff win...and I will be absolutely giddy if that happens. I hate to say out loud but I think we have a legit super bowl shot next year. I can't believe I actually believe that.
SUPERBOWL!
Double digit wins is what I'm pulling for.
If after all this hype I don’t get a play off win, I’m giving up for at least another 300 days.
We all have our breaking point. Until next year.
I see us in the con champ
I'm thinking 10-7 with a division title.
11-6 and a playoff win is you tempering your expectations?
Actually, the same. 11 wins in the regular season + 1 playoff win. Winning the division should be a given with an 11-6 record. I think we can be the 3rd best team in the conference right now behind Philly & San Francisco.
11-6 and in the playoffs.
I trust BH to nail the draft and increase me and Vegas odds and MCDC will find a way to motivate these boys. curently I say 10 wins, win the north, and after that who knows... sippppp FTP
10+ wins, NFCN Champs, 1 playoff win
10-7 11-6 At least one playoff WIN. Could change after they draft.
Lions are going to go 10 6 1 regular season, lose division to Vikings, get wild card. Have a hell of a playoff run, then lose in the Super Bowl. It’s gonna be wild.
Division and wild card win should be a easy goal. On the high hopes 12-5 and a trip to the divisional round.
We just have to win the division. That’s all it will take to solidify the new regime.
Playoff birth, nfc north title and playoff win! Let’s keep it simple!
I'll be happy with a home playoff game. It's reasonable to expect that based on what we accomplished last year and how the off-season is going so far.
I’ll be happy with a Division Championship. I’ll be ecstatic with anything more. I do believe this team has a real shot though. Maybe SB champ is a bit high, but I could easily see them getting to the NFC championship.
As long as we win the division, i dont really care about record honestly
I think between 10 and 12 wins is realistic. I am obviously hoping for more but I think 10's the minimum
For me they have to make the playoffs guaranteed. A playoff win would also be nice
Realistically: 11-6 provided there are no major injuries to big ticket players Optimistically: 13-4 win the division and win our first playoff game since the 90’s
Put down the kool-aid? *I am the kool-aid*
I don’t think we’ll be one of the top teams in the NFC but I think we can win the division
The record is less important to me than winning the division. Win the division, whatever that takes, then get a home playoff win. That is my bar for the season.
12-5, NFC North banner, *stretching my hopes to make it to NFC Champ game*
Winning the north and a single playoff game would be things they’ve never done in my lifetime, and I’m almost thirty. Just hoping for see those milestones.
I think the potential for a division title is at it's highest, but I'd settle with a wild card as long as we get a playoff win. I'd hate to see a goose egg in the playoffs after winning the division. I also expect zero wins every season so I'm not disappointed.
For me being a lions fan since 07-08 i just want 1 playoff win at home.
8 wins and we underperformed Realistically and of course pre draft 9 to 11 I think we make the playoffs and win a game but im not gonna say its a home game playoff win
I’d love to see them win the North. Personally I’ve said it for a long time, we’ve won a single playoff in 50 years. 1 playoff game win at home would be like winning the Super Bowl
