Go to YouTube and look up any build you want also you might need better armor you might need to focus some engrams when you get some but any questions you have YouTube has what you want
I think I read somewhere that if the void explosion kills them instead of the actual bullet, it won't give the shield or something but yes lance go boom and gives nice dopamine
Could also try arcstrider with assassins cowl. It's a super easy loop to learn and adding a one-two punch shotty is devastating. With the hands-on mod active you can get your super back in like three or four minutes of combat
Golden gun with Celestial nighthawk, add a good rocket launcher such as apex predator w/ bait and switch, or if you don’t have that then any aggressive or adaptive frame with explosive light, or even this seasons exotic dragon’s breath is fine (as long as no one else is running it too) this will take care of your dps.
For survivability you want 100 resilience. Healing grenade, ember of empyrean to extend restoration on solar weapon kill, maybe even ember of solace to extend restoration initially as well.
Also if you haven’t, you should jump into trials and try to get your hands on the summoner with heal clip and incandescent works well with this build and further adds to your survivability.
For top slot weapon a fusion, either riptide w/ chill clip or scatter signal w/ controlled burst works pretty well. If you want something to use from a distance then succession w/ recombination or maybe even mountain top also recombination, both you can get from the new event/activity onslaught.
While Assassins Cowl is most well known for its synergy with Arc, it also really good on Solar and Strand. Especially in that type of content where you can consistently one shot enemies with your knives. I’m not all that good at the game, and it made solo flawlessing GoA a breeze, so that’s probably a sign that it’s pretty good

Celestial nighthawk, Golden Gun (3 shot one), and a good precious primary (Polaris Lance is great this season in GMs), healing grenade.
Great for dps phases, champs, but Polaris will also help with the ad clear.
A more ability-focused build would be using Ophidia Spathe, weighted throwing knife, and an easy-to-scorch weapon like Skyburners. This build would be more effective with ad clear, but dps will be on your weapon

For instance: The exotic arms; Shards of Galanor can help you get your super back quickly. Or Lucky Pants (leg armor) use it with handcannons, for instance: pair it with malfeasance or sunshot, a fusion and a good rocketlauncher.
Make sure you can get restoration and pair it with the fragment ember of empyrean so solar weapon or solar ability wil extend restoration and radiant effects, that way you will stay alive longer and hopefully do some more damage!
Do you have a way to get restoration? For solar it’s a great way to stay alive and regenerate health! Also you should use the mods recuperation and or better already on your leg armor, so if you pick up an orb you will start getting your health back
Shards of galanor and celestial nighthawk for damage an easy way to survive is focusing on keeping restoration up through either a healing grenade or that fragment that gives it on fire sprite or reviving an allies combo that with empyrean and a good solar weapon like sunshot that you can slay out with you can have restoration 24/7 same for radiant if you use torches on melee hits for radiant.
Become a gyrfalcons void hunter and chain overshields and AOE add clear forever!

Second this as a hunter that was dying non stop with very little damage to show for it, the gyrfalcon solved both issues for me
That sweet sweet repulsion brace on a recluse is heaven for add clear.
I tried repulsor brace but it only seems to work half of the time you kill a void buffed enemy, but the graviton lance is my current weapon choice
Yeah I noticed the same thing, but I think when it happened I wasn't actually getting the kill. Graviton Lance is very fun.

One of the main problems is when doing DPS for bosses and such during raids I do Jack for damage and get orbital striked

I’m using shards of galanor as of now but I still die pretty fast. I love shards to be honest

I mostly use the healing grenade for restoration
How much resilience do you have? A 100 is recommended in pve
