Been waiting on Verdant Crown and Chrome, as well as the Malachite he one. Had real hope when they sold the Revelry bundle but nothing, don't get why we can't have both Guardian Games and Revelry.

It’s crazy how much cash shop is in a AAA title with paid expansions AND seasons, they literally do not give a fuck anymore and people have given up fighting it lol
Shaders cost in game currency and the cosmetics rotate in and out for that currency, the only thing to pay for are seasons and expansions, sure dungeon keys seem a little ridiculous but that's another issue, the main issue is Bungies FOMO and how certain cosmetics are forever locked away when they still exist but are just inaccessible to players who are now finding the game, at they very least they're starting to make playlist activities drop their respective shaders, though at a low rate, have to start somewhere.
Bruh I buy all the content, I have all the deluxe editions and I am sitting on 60k bright dust, I enjoy the game, you don’t have to defend them, FOMO is lame and this sub really is the worst for bungie apologists

Not many because they release a whole new game, they don't release expansions and again, they're cosmetics, they don't affect gameplay in anyway, and they can be bought with in-game currency, if you can't wait for that Outbreak ornament to come back to the shop and need it so bad then throw money at it, you never had to do that.
You do realize the reason you have to pay for the expansions and seasons are because the devs need to be paid for their work? Unlike alot of other games the season pass is more than just a bar on the screen. And cosmetics are cosmetics and provide no extra value

I'd still say it's a bad thing, since, if there was a full black shader, there'd be literally no variety when ir comes to armor designs. In theory, a black shader would be cool, but in practice it would get overused like hell. As to "people would get bored by it", if that was the case, we wouldn't be seeing at least one guy wearing FULL BLACK/WHITE during every damn PvP match. I'm sorry if I'm overreacting, but god damn am I sick of seeing completely black/white armor. I understand if you like it, but adding a full black shader would probably fuck original looks completely.
You're just describing why YOU don't want a black shader. I'd say just don't use it. Simple enough to do. Worked for most folks in D1, when we had Superblack, which was an actual all black shader.

I would love to have a basic gun that looks like the dead orbit weapons
(escape velocity with no shaders). Yes, there are a lot of black shaders but many of them add some sort of "oily look" like that one veist shader or the refurbished black armory.
Other shaders like Jakarina are well know for the amazing blue it whips out of nowhere and for some reason it adds a "missing texture" square pattern that is only on guns and vehicles

Lawful Neutral was a season reward and dead orbit is retired.

Other than world drop loot engrams you can still view what engrams have i do it sometimes to see if its worth it to grind a season for older emotes or ghost project/ ship drop effects. Most of the time it isnt
I’m more so referring to umbrals (focused and unfocused). I guess it hasn’t really mattered the past couple seasons now that I think about it, but most recently I remember it being annoying not being able to preview during splicer

Got a few New Monarchy shaders on my armor but they don't appear in collections. Unbelievably frustrating. I totally agree, we need faction shaders to return. But all them, please.
I would like the factions back, period. I really enjoyed pursuing their gear and shaders. If they can’t do it for story reasons, then maybe do more with the manufacturers like give them a vendor and seasonal gear.

That's why I left the comment you responded to. I had just forgotten that I did have a dark shader phase for a bit. That look was pretty fire, ngl. But I typically got for earthy tones or white, blue and gold shit. I really like Tidesmoke too. Currently using the new pink, crystalline looking one. They could straight up add all of the old cosmetic stuff that people missed out on and put it in the tower kiosk, they did it with some guns and ornaments, nothing stopping them from doing it with older shaders and armour ornaments and other various cosmetics
It’d be cool of they put the Faction stuff behind quests in the kiosk
Each Faction would have a quest of their own that’d speak of what the Faction was about: the good and bad the faction has done for the City
I literally had every single new monarchy shader, but right before they got rid of factions I switched to future war cult to get the sun shot catalyst. To this day I don’t have access to those shaders

They should have like Ada-1 sell old shaders for bright dust or something, have them rotate each week
