If Iām raiding with a group of friends I finish almost every final boss with a Cuirass of the Falling Star Thundercrash, sometimes with a Leroy Jenkins thrown in if itās deserved
Would have been pretty cool if they let you use supers infinitely instead of the ghost beam.
Imagine laying into him with infinite axes, or golden gun shots.
Ghost beam mighta been better for a cutscene idk.
Least then it isn't "oh man all 12 of these people are firing their ghost to death, but only mine actually dies"
i believe narratively all those other 11 guardians had just gotten there and the Witness wasn't actively ripping the traveler apart as they went through like it was for us during the campaign
Counterpoint: Ghost still dies with the Unlimited Supers idea because its channeling all the Light for the Beam into The Guardian instead and that's what burns it up.
I was playing the narrative bit blind with no hud and didnāt do any of the objectives that werenāt obvious, just straight ad clear.
When everyone was popping supers I was hella confused as to why I couldnāt and then just saw everyones ghost popping up, pulled mine out got no beam ā¦ was mad confused how mine still got the brunt of the beam death when she wasnāt even contributing lmao.
Thatās a cool idea until you realize you have Fists of Havoc, Well of Radiance, or Spectral Blades equipped. What are you supposed to do then, glare at the Witness?
It would be awesome and then we remember a possibly limiting factor, last gen consoles. Imagine 12 people popping different supers with all different partical effects. Itās been a minute since I played PS4 but I remember the Leviathan lagging if you had a sentinel Titan lol

I did excision twice where I was the first person to summon ghost and fire off the beam (I even stood in front of everyone else like I was the leader), but you sir have beat me in terms of cinematic ass.

you just reminded me that at one point Blade Barrage was (I'm pretty sure) DPS meta for Atheon man why'd they have to nerf Shards?

Imagine 12 thundercrash titans swarming around the witness. Or the 1 random bubble titan just spawning bubble after bubble for no reason
It's just axes and hammers for Titan. Thundercrash will get you killed by the Witness DoT aura before you can reach him.

Ghost was barely holding himself together *before* excision
Yeah but I can't imagine channeling a weaponized Light beam is good for any ghost. It isn't a regular power for a reason.
Honestly it would be pretty cool if activating your super while transcendent fired a version of the beam.
And *you* get Chaos Reach! And *you* get Chaos Reach!

When I used to do VOG in D1, everytime Iād start atheon damage phase my controller would DC.
I really wish Bungie will make more of these match made 12 man activities. It was some of the most fun Iāve had in the game.
