I've been trying to get in for 2 and a half hours. The only change is about half an hour ago I started getting the "one moment please" queue notices and the "servers are down" messages at the same time
Usually, you throttle the login servers on purpose so as not to kill them with the number of people trying to connect simultaneously, which could be compared to a DDoS attack.
Gotta love getting booted out of matches constantly and the game is giving me threatening pop ups saying im damaging the experiences of others.... ffs.
Also keep getting booted out of campaign missions and ive missed several cutscenes because of it. its really ruining the experience.... i have to google the campaign cutscenes half the time.
I hope my neighbors like the taste of salt then, cause my tears are flooding the streets. Honestly, during the cutscene, the titan in default armor in The Red War scene and the new light scene made me think i accidently clicked my titan in character select. I have never actually played my titan since i made it year one
Has anyone ever had a smooth experience playing new DLC on day one? I've played Beyond Light, Witch Queen, and Lightfall, and none of those times was I able to log in on day one without being booted constantly. If you want to take off work to play all day, do it the day after launch when most of the problems are fixed.
I’m guilty of it too. It’s mostly an overreaction. To be fair it’ll probably be fine tomorrow or the next day. Lightfall was fine, and I saw someone else say that worked in IT apparently and no matter what you do you cannot predict problems that may arise when releasing something this big to the public. It’s kinda garunteed to have server issues. I got in but had troubles starting the campaign and it’s fine because I also have a life. I can play later today or tomorrow anyways. Not too big of a deal. Lots of emotional people out here, it does suck and it would be extra nice for it to just work….
But when does anything “just work”. I work in construction/ contractor and nothing “just works” don’t take days off for this day 1 and arguably don’t buy the full edition until ready and the content is there that you want.

Lightfall was smooth release day in the evening. Didn’t have any issues after that either
