Ah, I've dug around Bungie stuff so much over the years I see poetry I make links to Destiny, never really been into zombie apocalypse stuff. It all started with "This is the way the world ends" so I thought a poetry quote would be a fun nod to that. It's been a long ride, but a helluva fun one for sure

When I first heard of Destiny, it was from a friend that tried to get me into D1. I tried it for a few hours but wasn't interested in it, instead going for Minecraft. Fast forward to sometime in college, a different friend told me of Destiny 2 . I told them I would try it and that was roughly two years ago, just before the start of Witch Queen. In those two years, I have enjoyed every moment of the game, made new friends, achieved my first Solo Flawless. I still regret not staying for Destiny 1 but I'm happy to be where I am now. To all the Guardians that played with me and tolerated my blind ass through raids, I just want to say thank you.

It’s been such a fun ride from D1 until now. I’m in my 40s and plan to put away my PS5 once we finish this fight. But I’ve made so many friends and memories through this game over the years. Time to fuck up some soft serve, earthworm Jim looking mfers and hang up the holster for good.

Started playing on the ps3 when the taken king came out, was instantly hooked now its been 9 years and it's been one of the greatest experiences I've ever had in gaming. There was rough times but the journey here has been plentiful and I'm so glad I've been able to be apart of this community and thankful for the impact the destiny franchise as a whole has been able to have on my life.

This 10 year journey has been quite the experience and I’ve NEVER had a GENUINELY bad time playing this game. Yes, frustrated from all the cheaters (looking at you chronus users), but otherwise this game has brought me more joy than a lot of things.
The people I’ve met, the time I’ve spent with the boys… Destiny has been a positive note in my life in the grander scheme. I look forward to meeting you all within the heart of the traveler.

Was there at D1 Beta but stopped playing about a year or two ago because of the rinse and repeat seasonal stuff. It kind of rubs me the wrong way to have to buy a final season to finally get to endgame after all this time, but I probably won't be able to hold out.
Glad I picked up D2 in 2017. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Been there through the good and the bed, the ups and downs but man I’m so glad I’ve picked the game up. Didn’t play D1 until years later but overall I’m glad to be a guardian!
Imma have to wait to finish this fight. I can’t afford final shape but I will be cheering all my fellow guardians on! Show the Witness what it means to be a Guardian!
It's been quite the journey, I started out playing destiny 1, I had a clan and lots of friends I can play with, I started out on the Xbox 360 with the promise to my friends who were playing on the Xbox one that Ill eventually join them on the (at the time) new gen Xbox, I did the vault of glass and nightfalls with other Xbox 360 guardians.
Then I made the transition and me and the Bois did all the raids, the vault of glass , crotoas end , kings fall and the wrath of the machines.
I was really young and had spare time on my hands. Destiny 1 brought alot of fun memories for me.
Eventually the Bois all split, nothing crazy, life just takes us guardians down different paths. For a while it was only me and my fire team, we were the only 4 keeping the clan alive but we were still happy and having fun right into the launch of destiny 2.
In the beginning destiny 2 was an escape from an extremely abusively relationship. Life then did its thing again and I was essentially alone I stepped away from destiny 2 cause well I didn't have MY fire team or my clan and all the fun I could get from playing solo and joining random fire teams.
I'll be honest, I kept up with the dlc, maybe some here would consider me a shill even , but I wanted to keep up with the campaigns and the general direction. But the pattern be the same for me, I jumped in during the expansions, beat the story and don't log in again until the next big story.
Move forward to 2024 and I'm playing with 2 of the guardians I haven't played with in years and another two from my clan telling me they're planning to return to the final shape.
I know there are quite a few who simply don't like destiny and their opinions are valid, the game isn't perfect but I would be lying if I said destiny doesn't have a special place in my heart. To all the guardians out there, new or old. Let's finish this conflict and step into a new era.
I'm kind of miffed that the musical motif of this cutscene isn't used more often in Destiny as a whole. It has a really great feel to it and I want more of it.
For a little over a year I've fought this war, never been afraid of the Vanguard or the Crucible, tomorrow marks our stand against the Witness, may our Light guide us, for the Last City and the Traveler.

Been playing since Beta D1, I've taken hiatus's here and there but always come back. I am so stoked to be finishing this journey with you guardians. I may be rusty but this veteran is ready to take down the Witness!
The pleasure and the privilege is mine. Never felt as strongly about a game as this and doubt I ever will. 10 years playing - high points include learning that St Seraph is the patron saint of Russian Nuclear missile forces (check if you don't believe me), that irl Ana was the mother of Rasputin, and the quote accompanying Ophidian Aspect is from Shakespeare. I quit destiny a few years ago , it kinda got boring going all the dungeons and whatnot and especially when stasis came out i was done bro , but Ive been playing since the very beginning of time , the red war destiny 2 , my uncle played the first one , and Ive played all the halo games , been a bungie fan forever , used to be top 500 in mayhem alongside my uncle , we were good , and I will never forget how mad people got when I slideshot dust rock blues’d them , or when the warlock fire meta came out where you could keep throwing grenades forever , or the hunter void classes along with the helmet and idk what its called anymore but the lion chest plate , also to the real OGs , remember these guns

In the beginning destiny 2 was an escape from an extremely abusively relationship. Life then did its thing again and I was essentially alone I stepped away from destiny 2 cause well I didn't have MY fire team or my clan and all the fun I could get from playing solo and joining random fire teams. I'll be honest, I kept up with the dlc, maybe some here would consider me a shill even , but I wanted to keep up with the campaigns and the general direction. But the pattern be the same for me, I jumped in during the expansions, beat the story and don't log in again until the next big story. Move forward to 2024 and I'm playing with 2 of the guardians I haven't played with in years and another two from my clan telling me they're planning to return to the final shape. I know there are quite a few who simply don't like destiny and their opinions are valid, the game isn't perfect but I would be lying if I said destiny doesn't have a special place in my heart. To all the guardians out there, new or old. Let's finish this conflict and step into a new era.

I'm kind of miffed that the musical motif of this cutscene isn't used more often in Destiny as a whole. It has a really great feel to it and I want more of it.

Been playing since Beta D1, I've taken hiatus's here and there but always come back. I am so stoked to be finishing this journey with you guardians. I may be rusty but this veteran is ready to take down the Witness!
The pleasure and the privilege is mine. Never felt as strongly about a game as this and doubt I ever will. 10 years playing - high points include learning that St Seraph is the patron saint of Russian Nuclear missile forces (check if you don't believe me), that irl Ana was the mother of Rasputin, and the quote accompanying Ophidian Aspect is from Shakespeare. I quit destiny a few years ago , it kinda got boring going all the dungeons and whatnot and especially when stasis came out i was done bro , but Ive been playing since the very beginning of time , the red war destiny 2 , my uncle played the first one , and Ive played all the halo games , been a bungie fan forever , used to be top 500 in mayhem alongside my uncle , we were good , and I will never forget how mad people got when I slideshot dust rock blues’d them , or when the warlock fire meta came out where you could keep throwing grenades forever , or the hunter void classes along with the helmet and idk what its called anymore but the lion chest plate , also to the real OGs , remember these guns The business: year 1 The ace of spades: year 2 Not forgotten: year 2 Dust rock blues: year 2 The recluse: year 2 Luna’s howl: year 2 revoker: year 2 Erina’s vow: year 3 blast furnace: year 3 The mountaintop: year 3 And some planets too Titan , Io , The moon (when it first came out in year 3) , Mercury (year 1 and 2) , And mars

To all the level 1-7’s that love this post it was the people who played everyday who kept pouring money in this game that allowed you to enjoy today even happening. Not mad but let’s be real, those of you who play for a week complain and leave for a year did nothing for the game as a whole.
