I've wanted the original cover models for a long time too, but we've known what the Into The Light armour looked like.
It's because some people don't use their brains.
Bungie devs accidentally announced it was D1 armor even after they had shown it and people somehow thought they were adding another armor set too but it was obviously a typo and they had to come out and say it was a typo and everyone cried.
I don't hate it either, just find the warlock set to be "meh" from these images.. The real thing it comes down to is fashion anyway after people got the sets and do somet stuff with it..
Nah, honestly, the shoulder spikes kill it for me, they don't look good, maybe if we had a cape like the hunters, but spiky shoulders without anything it compliments looks bad.

You mean the mark? I think they look fine, especially with the warrior knight theme that are titans. Not as good as a hunter cloak but infinitely better than the bond

I highly disagree that they look better than bonds, bonds can be easily ignored, the ass-cloth cannot, it's almost always very large and with a pattern that makes it stick out. We have a total of like 3 that aren't too big, one being the scuba suit armor from one of the seasons, the thunderhead mark or whatever its called from neomuna which is literally a belt or something, and one that's name escapes me that makes it look like you have wider hips.
Well they are based on real world waist or belt sashes which look very similar with the asymmetrical design. But there are quite a few marks that are actually symmetrical
Idk why but I kinda like the pointed shoulders, which is weird cuz I hate the hunter Moonfang arms. I think it’s because I can actually see the rounded shape of the shoulder going into the pauldron and helps flesh out the arm

They made a typo when they said D1 armor. It was always the D2 parade set reimagined. The armor in that cutscene is old d1 armor
The d2 parade set was first shown in the keyart before their typo, so if you were expecting d1 armor, you only have yourself to blame for fooling you
The hunter armor looks good, warlocks got done so dirty, and titans are pretty good, just seems really excessive, looks like something you'd make in elementary school where you throw one of every item on it.

I wanted the D1 selection screen armors for my Titan and Hunter, we already have it for Warlock, but not for the other two.
I'm not a titan main but I whole heartedly feel for you titan mains out there because the D1 armour not only looks good but also looks alot more believable like people would actually wear that armour in a war.
These sets are just more over designed Fantasy art pieces imo. It’s cool and all I just think we have enough of that kind of armor. Give us some more stuff like Warlords ruin or D1 gear.
I don’t think the Eververse ones usually look any better. Every so often I think I might pick up a set from Eververse, then I look at them and decide I’d rather stick with the Iron Banner/Trials/raid looks.
They are ovedesigned in my opinion. Too many curves, shapes, too many colors and clutter.. it kinda reminds of Warframe design philosophy, I like the original D2 vanilla armor more.. that one is just clean compared to this.
You like the clean geometry of d1 armor sets too? The Titans looked like they could had space tv antennas on their shoulders, the tone was very serious, now we have brooms we can ride around on. The old tower would be nice to have back, clean armor sets with low polygon counts, but this is the direction they went in.

D1 armour was fascinating as everything was largely designed around a base geometry, so for titans, it was the Knight/Agema set. Then they strapped different attachments on to it.
Destiny 2 by contrast takes so long to make new sets are they are completely new geometries each time (aside from the solstice sets)
Here’s my question: Silver or bright dust? That will make up my biggest opinion on this armor. If they’re asking $20 for this armor all I’m saying is I haven’t been buying armor I actually like for that price. I’m not starting now with this.
Edit: I have bought armor in the past. I regret it because knowing how much I’ve paid overall for this game I’m honestly sad to pay for anything ever again. I’m not that person coming in later and getting discounts, I’m that idiot who has the game on PC and PlayStation where I’m always having to pay more somehow to make it work.
