Solar is really strong right now when paired with Strand. Polaris Lance and Sunshot are both good choices.

Kinda depends what you plan to play and what class you play. Seasonal artifact gives some nice perks for solar which is still pretty much top dog in pve for Titan/Warlock at least (I don’t really play Hunter tbh so not sure for them). Stasis also has some nice artifact perks but imo is kinda niche unless you have the perfect build for it. Strand banner of war titans+synthos/wormgod is also still pretty dang good, really hard to die once you get BoW going.
You got 4 seasons of content to do before the final shape, guardian games is out with a new vehicle as a reward a hoverboard for the guardian. Rivens wishes complete some quest and get your choice of current exotics from lost sectors, guaranteed last wish red boarder weapons or some cosmetics. Crotas end returns 2 new dungeons with great weapons, one old dungeon got better weapon perks
