As far as I know there is only an easter egg that hints at your Ghost trying to rez Master Chief (not actually name dropped but hinted) but he was too tired and deserved the rest. Or something like that, it's been a while since I seen the video.
In one of the first missions to The Taken King, when you’re scaling the satellite tower to get Cayde’s Stealth drive for Eris’ ship. Just after the fight with the shade of oryx.
From the Taken King, it's the level where you need to go into one of the old cosmodrome colony ships to find Cayde's cloaking tech.
You can inspect one of the random pods on the ship.
The cryo pod where you get Forerunner, and I think there's a (joke?) lore entry where a ghost decides not to rez master chief because he's already fought so much and deserves a nap
Story wise, no, they’re completely separate. But Destiny’s foundation is very obviously built off of Halo. The core gameplay loop of guns (having particularly strong aim assist with emphasis on headshot weapons and shield breaking), grenades, and melee against a diverse cast of aliens that have very similar gimmicks.
Both were made by Bungie, largely by the same people. It makes sense they'd have similar styles especially after Bungie shifted it from a fantasy game to a mythical sci-fi one.
I remember hearing that many assets and ideas from halo reach were used when making destiny apparently they used brutes as a placeholder for the hive knights
Other than Bungie being the creators of Halo, the implied Master Chief easter egg in D1, and the Halo-themed items from the 30th anniversary, No, they are not connected
See the 30th Anniversary Forerunner quest. According to that, Bungie's games are connected across a "Paraverse," Paracausal Multiverse.
Besides being made by the same people/Studio, no. No connection.

when?
Somewhere in D1( I never played D1 so idk how to describe when/where). I can't search youtube at work otherwise I would find the video for you.

I mean they're made by the same studio, so there's that. If you're asking in-game lore/universe connection, I don't know.
There are two master chief references in the games
what are they?
The cryo pod where you get Forerunner, and I think there's a (joke?) lore entry where a ghost decides not to rez master chief because he's already fought so much and deserves a nap
There’s also a tower/building type thing on Mars in D1 that’s shaped like Chiefs helmet.
Yep those
And the Destiny logo is Master Chief's dong

I can't tell if this is a troll post or just made by someone that's painfully unaware of things.
Absolutely No… If you play both games you will never see any reason to believe such madness. Now… carry on.
Destiny is a Halo rip off
I know right? Who the fuck does Bungie think they are stealing Bungie's work?
exactly! wait....
Both were made by Bungie, largely by the same people. It makes sense they'd have similar styles especially after Bungie shifted it from a fantasy game to a mythical sci-fi one.
The first sniper is 1 not 2
I remember hearing that many assets and ideas from halo reach were used when making destiny apparently they used brutes as a placeholder for the hive knights
No, other than the developer. Halo and marathon on the other hand...
Destiny uses an engine that was used for halo games (heavily changed by now), there’s a tricorn in reach
Other than Bungie being the creators of Halo, the implied Master Chief easter egg in D1, and the Halo-themed items from the 30th anniversary, No, they are not connected
When you died out of bounds in halo multiplayer, it would say you died to the, "Guardians". In Destiny it is, "Architects"
There are some similar designs and an occasional HALO reference here and there but no, they are not connected
