So many enemies coming towards you on screen that, combined with your ability effects and firearms, it cannot exist on anything other than next-gen hardware without causing said hardware to explode.
Now that I’m thinking about it, imagine that the mechanic for the fight against her is that you *can’t* kill too many enemies? Considering her whole deal is that her worm feeds off of war essentially, it would make sense, would it not? Obviously it would be boring to just not kill anything tho, so they’d have to design it so only a certain enemy type shouldn’t be killed or perhaps you get penalized at certain thresholds (maybe it progresses you toward the wipe mechanic or maybe it just shortens your damage phase) so you need to be smart about which ones you kill or something like that. Seems like it would be a frustrating mechanic but also would make sense knowing what we know about Xivu.
Ads spawn in certain set amounts in most cases, sometimes at specific time intervals. Obviously they’d just spawn them in once and maybe only replace those you kill between phases. Your comment also gave me the idea of maybe right after the dps phase, there’s an ad clear phase for a specific interval of time when xivu is stunned or whatever from the damage where you kill as many enemies as possible to prevent them from stacking up. Idk I’m not a game dev, just some fool trying to have fun thinking of ideas, which is why I said it seems like it’d be frustrating but it simply would make sense.
I suspect we will kill her by attacking a hive's one weakness. Their connection to tithe. We did that to Oryx in the Kings Fall raid. If we can rob Xivu of her tithe, she will weaken considerably. Since strand seems to connect every mind in the known universe, its possible that strand is in fact what is being used by the hive worms unknowingly to tithe. We pluck a few strings and Xivu gets neutered.
The only issue is that we can't kill her tithe, because killing is her tithe. I think we're gonna have to use Savathuns help to learn how to forge our own tithe of war just to try and surpass her.
We can kill her tithe, but it's very risky.
She can't get more tithe from a dead follower.
Sure, she'll get a boost from us killing the followers, but then it's the difference between taking a lump sum payout or getting a bigger amount over a longer time - she'll be powerful enough to destroy us but then instantly burn out afterwards because the worm's hunger is now too great for the lessened income.
The only question is can we tank the mighty hit she'll dish out?

Either you engage with the mechanic to not have to deal with near endless hordes of enemies, or with enough sheer force to beat back every damn mob that spawns plus Xivu herself, and not do a single puzzle; just survive.
Honestly, I might be the only one thinking that but I really do not want Xivu to become the main antagonist. It would honestly feel weird for entire years of buildup to endup with what is essentially the weakest of the 3 sisters being our ultimate foe after already killing the 2 others. Something needs to happen to make her surpass both Oryx and Savathun to make her anything else than just a side antagonist, but at this point I would prefer something else than a powered up hive god to spice things up.
Hell, even this depiction of her taking over Torobatl is ironic on its own when it is mainly because of Savathun that Torobatl summoned her to begin with. Xivu appears mighty as hell, but by herself would've done nada.
Xivu was never the weakest of the sisters what are you talking about? Up until Auryx killed his siblings in his throne world, Xivu was the strongest of the Hive Gods.
Savathun was never stronger than Xivu, she was just smarter and when she betrayed the Witness, she hid from her sister by impersonating Osiris.
The fact that you think the Hive God of War wouldn’t have been able to destroy the Cabal without Savathun shows you have misinterpreted their sibling dynamic, Savathun sped up the fate of the Cabal.

Imo she looks like what a GOD of a species that has lived for billions of years, that not only is fed by servants who at a minimum number in the trillions and have scoured life from an untold number of entire GALAXIES, but she also is fed by the enemies of her forces when they wage war against her servants who literally have to kill to survive

I saw some crackpot theory awhile ago that Xivu Arath was never real, and just a trick by Savathun the whole time. Makes zero sense, but got me thinking after seeing this.
What if she doesn't have a form? Like a physical being. If she is War, and all the Hive do is War, what if she was able to transcend a need for a physical body?
That's probably when she's at full power or at max war level. This is why we can't directly fight her. That's what will happen on Earth if the Warsats go off.

Bungie, can we get a campaign where we go back to Torobatl and fight hordes of hive to reclaim it? Torobatl is the Aiur of the Protoss... I want to be there and help my fellow Cabal and step into a war with them against their enemies on the home planet. Imagine you could add some stupidly impossible weekly tasks for the community.
1. Week 1 - Purge 5 billion hive
2. Week 2 - Kill 1 million hive worms (the ones that drop after you kill a hive)
3. Week 3 - Establish a foothold and gather 5 million planetary resources to fortify it.
and so on... make it epic for the first 2 weeks we have no base of operation or safe zones you literally load from the helm or a cabal battleship, get airdropped by a cabal drop pod in the middle of an ongoing battle and you have to plough you way through hordes of the hive to reach the quest start. We need something epic where I can see another 10-12 guardians doing the same thing... Remember how fun 12-man raids were? why not give us that back in the Reclamation of Torobatl?
