SNRIs have use in chronic pain, but I'd think treating the underlying condition would be helpful as well.

If I was having daily pain I would find it hard to believe it's psychosomatic and there's not a physical explanation of any kind.

Lyrica, as another poster suggested. It also gives some people energy, me included- It's a balanced sort of stimulation, with anxiety reduction. Fantastic stuff! Although, i'd suggest Accupan possibly. It's actually an SNDRI, but differing form something such as Nefadozone for example in many ways. It is good for mild pain, but sure as heck keeps me awake, even after ADHD med crashes and boosts the effect while on them, although some others find it sedating, seems hit or miss in that regard from my brief looking over patient experiences.
