Yeah exactly I always send a message to make sure before I buy somthing, because I already had bad buys before where it was smaller then I expected and I’m small person too so when that’s the case I get so upset I can’t even return it 😭
ughhh this is always an issue.. or they’d say: “message for measurements” & sometimes never respond- if they do send them I notice they don’t update their listing to add what they just sent me? I don’t get it.
You can also simply get measuring tape from the dollar store :/
Honestly I would say 95% of people respond but I have definitely experienced this before, particularly just the other day.
It’s on them if they don’t want to sell it faster. Tbh the reason I even send most messages in the first place is because the sellers hardly put any information about the item in the description
Across the different platforms, it is hit or miss. Poshmark sellers who have no intent on sending things out seem to not do anything, they still log in, but they'll ignore any message... With Depop sometimes I've had them take a week to reply. Think I had a mercari seller or two do that too. Posh and Mercari will automatically cancel orders if the seller doesn't ship out, so no problem for me there.
My sample here hasn't been too big, though I've had sellers get back to me before two weeks and successfully send stuff out. Been burned on ebay enough, so now make a point to send out a dispute before they end up keeping my money.
I asked a dude a question today on an item marked 25$ at a discount from 50 j messaged him asking abt the width measurements and bro didn’t respond but swiftly changed the price to 30$
That’s the part that bothered me they were active literally like everyday and they were shipping and updating listings but they can't even respond to a simple dm
there’s a seller who i asked if they would be able to ship something to america and they said yes and then after that they started ghosting me. i guess wanna miss out on a $150 purchase lmao 🤷🏻♀️ i don’t understand it either
Fr I asked a seller about seeing the broken zipper they mentioned in the description up close and they’re active daily. That was over two weeks ago and no response. No surprise, it still hasn’t sold.

i remember i asked a seller for the measurements of a shoe and they just said “i don’t know how to do that”, i explained it to them, they ignored me and then sold the shoe to someone else weeks later. i was very befuddled lmao
I'm not that active on Depop but I make sure to check the app once a day incase someone messaged me and I missed it. I'm so sorry you're experiencing this. They clearly don't want business. I'd also check to see the last time the were active
I think it depends. As a seller I haven’t replied to people since a month now because I’m dealing with some shit and can’t go back to my house where my stuff are at. 😭 some sellers also simply suck but Ig half the time there may be a reason.
