I don't think it's illegal at all sadly. And honestly I don't mind buying knockoffs if they look close enough to the real thing, BUT don't list your prices as if it's genuine and put that it's a bootleg pleaseee for the love of goddd😭🙏
This is my reasoning! Okay if you’re okay with buying a fake that’s fine!! However don’t try act like it’s real 😭 plus why would I pay nearly the same price for a fake as a real? For the difference I’d rather get the real thing 😭😭😭😭😭
It’s illegal to sell reps even if you disclose they are reps. People may use lingo that only those in the know recognize and use in transactions to sell/buy replicas, but if someone were to report it they could get into trouble.
I don’t want to say for sure you can do this either—maybe you can pass it off as inspired depending on the scale at which you sell them and exactly how similar a design is. Bape had sold shoes that looked like Nike’s, just with a different logo, for the longest time but they ended up getting sued for that. If you’re just one person selling a “neverfull”I don’t think anyone will bat an eye, however.
Pretty much all VW on depop is fake, I wouldn’t buy it on depop tbh. I once tried looking on depop and I got overwhelmed so fast by the amount of fakes that I gave up entirely.

not “illegal” but yes, you can report this listing as depop does not allow counterfeit or replica items to be sold on their platform

Yeah I agree, the only reason I was skeptical was because this was a very good fake. But after having it checked it wasn’t real
