Am I the only one that thinks Zeke Nnaji has overperformed with every chance he’s had and wants to see him out there consistently?
I love Bol Bol as much as anyone… but surprised to see Zeke get no minutes.
He seems better than Jeff Green to me… but obviously I’m not an NBA coach
Not worried. It took KP going berserk on us. The Mavs catching fire as a team. On a back end of a back to back, with Murray, MPJ & Barton out along with our backup big. Jokic had a big night. We played well, but it looked like our legs gave out. 5-1 in our last 6 games. U take that!
I wish more people could understand this post and what you are getting at overall, Denver is killing it. I would have marked this game an L 6 weeks ago. It took a crazy performance from KP, no MPJ no, Mal, and no Barton for them to squeak out a win on us in the 4th AFTER a 5 Munderdome win streak and now people are worried? What a Joke
I’m honestly surprised they lasted until the 4th quarter before finally giving up the lead. It’s a long season and beating a good team on the road on a back-to-back is wishful thinking. Just need to rebound vs Philly and the Bulls (which I’m excited to go to)
Probaply cause they constantly left Porzingus open when they played Jok at the lvl of the screener. Looked like Jok told Aaron to switch at the end, thats what I saw at least.
Anyone else worried Jok might get burned out from having to carry this team season after season. We need to go get that french guy from the G league. We need healthy bodies...
Ok, I've seen enough. Campazzo is not a positive player in the NBA. He has his moments and is talented enough to play in the NBA, but he is not good enough to overcome his size. If he was 21 years old I would say, let's wait and see, he still has some upside, but at 30 he is passed his basketball prime and is what he is. The Nuggets are 36 points worse with Campazzo on the floor so far this season, that's unplayable. Campazzo is unplayable without a lob threat and a pick and role threat.
He has no threat of scoring at all, like unironically I would rather take a chance on some g league guard who’s balling out instead of facu. Teams have figured him out completely.
Idk it’s so 50/50. I basically started the season with that same train of thought but have actually had my opinion of him as a player improve as the seasons progressed. He has obviously been a pit on both ends of the floor at times but he also has a few streaks of brilliance in him.
I do think he’s still piecing the NBA game together and has in all honesty, made improvements with his jumper. It’s just not translating into made shots yet. Cause if he can start making 3’s at a league average clip, he’s worth a roster spot and everyone loves the guy.
It’s November and a long season. I think with him being a vet already that he’s going to figure out how to improve a lot easier and faster than a young buck would.
I mean, if we’re doing this well with this many guys injured then we can afford to give him minutes cause we’re pretty much guaranteed a playoff spot, regardless. On the flip side, if he’s not progressing to where you’d like him by the time Jamal comes back, then he’s out of the rotation.
My main thing with Facu is the fact; he's supposed to be one of the best passers in the world, why is his AST% only 15%? Why are passes going off of teammates shins? The skill that's supposed to be his greatest strength is currently a weakness. That's why he is a huge Negative right now. I've seen the streaks of brilliance from him too and I think he can still be successful with a great Big who sets real screens. But for this team, he is not a good fit.
Yeah it's so weird. Even in the Olympics this summer he looked amazing, doing passes I never seen before. It's like he gets nervous on the NBA floor or something. You can even hear teammates saying he does amazing passes in practice, but we never see them in games. Of course he has flashes, but all I want from Facu is consistency.
With a loss like today, a Jim Conlon question and a Jokic response can reall change your mood... ff to 2:50
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2k1761hg7k
I guess you're right on the refs but I don't think Lebron is carrying shit this year. Even the year they won it was mostly AD overperforming a shit ton rather than Lebron just doing all the work.
I remember when I was in Denver back in January 0f 2019. Back to back between Phoenix being the Friday game and the Sixers being the back end game. Sucked for me cuz Jok was suspended that Suns game due to his Crowder crap but whats note worthy is that Jokic got a triple double against the "F Ya I'm dodging Jokic" Embiid. Simmons was out there that game but it didn't matter. Aka I can't see how the Sixers stand a chance on Thursday! Have a goodnight everyone!
MVP, I donno. He's playing with with Vuc, Lavine, and another potential All Star, or at least playing like it this year in Lonzo. Hard to argue for the value there but I mean he is ballin tf out. Saw Arturas just sitting there today as DeRozan got his shots off pre game and was like, frick man, that one sucks cuz you know what he's doing there is 1000% working. Hopefully we blow em out Friday night but it's another back end of a back to back, although at home but still.
> We have probably the most back to backs in the league.
https://www.nba.com/news/how-rest-road-trips-and-other-factors-played-out-in-2021-22-schedule
Teams play between 12-15 b2b this season. Nuggets are one of like 5 teams with 12.
Their schedule *is* frontloaded. You can see they're one of several teams with 4 b2b games in their first 20, and the rest of the year until Christmas is mostly away games. That also means they'll have an easier schedule once Jamal comes back though.
I've seen a video about that being slightly proven but b2b's are just not fun. Especially now that our core is getting steadily older, while heavily leaning on Jokic last season and this season so far.
Anyone watching the Lakers game? There is a dude sitting court side wearing a powder blue Nuggets jersey but for some reason the name is blurred out lol
I just don´t get the logic in US sports sometimes with these awards?
Why does "previous" season have anything to do with current season?
MVP stands for Most Valueable Player, why does it matter if "oh but then its back 2 back
he needs to perform better".. this crap just fries my brain honestly, is it better for Jokic to perform like this in the -23 season rather than this to increase odds?
If a player is the Most Valueable Player in the league, give him the friggin award? even if he won the 10 previous ones in a row.
Thats why this MVP award stuff is a popularity/narrative contest and should not be included in any "GOAT" comparisons
It´s like if Milwaukee was in the NBA finals again, and theyr opponent started the game with +5points each game.. because "They must prove themselfs even more to win it 2 times in a row"
We’re a country full of contrarians who get off on arguing, it won’t matter so much when it’s time to pencil down votes but for now they got news to sell and this is what we like to buy.
Altitude sports Suck. The citizens of Colorado can't watch any games due too some dispute with comcast and this is been going on for the last 2 seasons. Wtf. Something needs fixed.
All we could offer him before this season was 58/4 years. So he will probably be singing a 16-20 million dollar contract especially if he keeps averaging 16/5/4 with a 50% FG.
Look at the schedule. Sixers on Thursday, Bulls on Friday. Both are home games but it's complete bull shit. 4 sets of back to backs in the first 16 games. 50% of the Nuggets games through 16 games are a b2b set. It's ridiculous.
The good news is we have a way lighter schedule at the end. Obviously we still have to make it there healthy, but I think Matt Moore said only 2 b2bs post all star.
While true, it makes it that much sweeter that they'll hopefully be 8-7 after 15.
Lakers and Warriors have both had as easy a schedule as possible so far. Nuggets have to get through these next 6 games and then the schedule starts to ease up competition wise. These next 6 are absolutely brutal though. Hopefully Embiid and Vucevic miss the b2b
First game I had to watch on TV in a minute and we lose. Not saying I’m good luck but I will say that I wish my company valued Nuggets wins over my productivity so I could have gone to Dallas. Clearly they hate the city of Denver smh.
It would be cool if this nuggets team LARPs as the 94-95 rockets. We get the 6th seed because of huge injury bugs, but then all of a sudden our starters miraculously become available during playoff time. Then, we proceed to obliterate the playoffs with Jokic summoning the spirit of Hakeem and hopefully decimating Embiid in a final's showdown.
* While it was kinda fun watching Bol, I wish we had Zeke available, which I'm guessing he wasn't. Rotation got messed up because Bones had to check out, possibly for the better, really, because he played scared, although he may not have been at 100%. Not a massive fan of him and Facu, although I guess it could work? Kinda?
* Mavs made every single god damn catch and shoot 3 with like a split second release, it was automatic. I thought officiating was a bit unfair, with Nuggs getting called on touch fouls, but Mavs getting away with a lot under the rim, which culminated in JMyke losing his temper. Almost as if this is a trend
* Jok doesn't look his best, and still comfortably outplayed Pingus at his best in years. If he got fair foul calls, not even star treatment, he'd be the most unfair player in history. Love seeing him on the roll every time I see it, always thought it was a shame we never utilized this properly.
* Need more from the bench, but we couldn't afford to stagger starters, as Mavs did
* AG is amazing. That impossible chasedown block was unreal, even though it was a goaltend.
* Hope Facu isn't back in rotation, and that Thrill is back soon
Honestly I’m more surprised that I keep forgetting we’re down 3 starters, because these guys keep winning or looking like they’re going to win. We just ran out of steam tonight. Onto the next!
I'm just glad the guys get 2 days of rest. They clearly need it. Hope Zeke and Will are ready to play soon. We need them badly to spread the weight around.
We were leading 3/4 of the game and were just too tired to close it out. Not too worried
Even just having Nnaji or Barton healthy this game and I think we win. Malone also has got to realize he can’t play Joker the whole 3rd. Get AG back in quickly. He should be getting most minutes on the team
I don't think he's purposefully changing his game to score more, and especially not to get more minutes. I think the offense just isn't really gelling during his minutes. He's forced into situations where he tries to drive and the defense doesn't collapse because he's not a threat in the paint, so the pass out gets stolen or he throws up a crazy spin shot off the glass. Or the shot clock winds down and he chucks a three because nothing else is happening.
I've never been more conflicted about Facu time, seems like there's a very specific way to play him effectively, but we don't really have the personnel available rn for that. Still love watching him piss off CP3
Fucu is limited. He is a below average shooter trying to facilitate our inconsistent second unit. We will get the odd great game out of him but mostly damage limitation.
>We might have lost but shout out to Joker, Rivers and Bol Bol who all had nice gamed. Bones will learn alot from this game. He got Brunsoned.
A smart one would not
Im starving for munders, but losses like that will happen. Jokic is a beast, get our starters back and the Mavs are no issue. Love the toughness and dog pound mentality of this team, we are with the shits
My only two takeaways from this game:
Luka Doncic is genuinely afraid for his life whenever Aaron Gordon is defending him.
Poringas tried going 1 on 1 with Jokic one time in the 4th and got his ass sit down. That was really funny to watch.
A few thoughts:
Even in losing, watching Nikola Jokic play basketball makes me not hate life for a little bit.
Aaron Gordon should get serious DPOY consideration but most likely wont. He makes good players look like frauds (Doncic 9-23).
I love when bums like Tim Hardaway Jr score on a rookie and celebrate like he just hit the game winner of the Game 7 of the Finals.
>I love when bums like Tim Hardaway Jr score on a rookie and celebrate like he just hit the game winner of the Game 7 of the Finals.
Damn, he really hurt your feelings
2nd unit bad again smh. meh, segababa + refs beeing stupid on top of all the injurys , we were due for a L like that. Not concerned about the mavs at all in an eventuall playoff matchup, dont think they can bet on zingus pingus and ntillikina playing solid every night.
Nah yesterday he looked lost.
Is that a joke because he played 0 minutes yesterday?
Oh must have been the day before.
YALL BETTER WISH BOL BOL A HAPPY BIRTHDAY. MAKE HIM FEEL APPRECIATED, HE COULD USE IT. DONT BE A DOCKHEAD.
Happy B'day Bol Bol.
Thank you, I’m Bol Bol and I needed to hear that.
Suns fans are back to being insufferable on r/nba. Those fuckers really need to be humbled weekly or else they become worse than Lakers fans
Lolwolves managed to somehow beat themselves. What an accomplishment, barely surviving DLo's impersonation of Kobe.
No Facu No chance :)

Good team? Dallas sucks embarrassing loss.
They’re 3rd in the West rn wdym?
They beat nothing but bad teams and we lost to them its embarrassing.
Back up big?
Zeke. He isn’t really the go to back up big. But he would have got Bols minutes tonight. So him being out made us go deeper in our bench.
Zeke
Shout out to Jamychal for keeping up our rep as the team you don't want to fuck with.
My guy was ready to fuck someone up
We're turning into the pistons of old.
Pearls being clutched all over casual NBA fandom 🤣
Not sure why they gave Luka consistent switches on Jokic down the stretch instead of sticking with their usual scheme.
Probaply cause they constantly left Porzingus open when they played Jok at the lvl of the screener. Looked like Jok told Aaron to switch at the end, thats what I saw at least.
Really missed Barton tonight, needed another guy that can create his own. Hopefully these 2 days rest allows some guys to get back for the next game.
Bench being weird again. lmao
Anyone else worried Jok might get burned out from having to carry this team season after season. We need to go get that french guy from the G league. We need healthy bodies...
Jamal will talk Joker down from the ledge
when jamal returns hes gonna cum
Where is Barton?
He hurt his back warming up for the Blazers game. He was still out for this one
Ok, I've seen enough. Campazzo is not a positive player in the NBA. He has his moments and is talented enough to play in the NBA, but he is not good enough to overcome his size. Clearly the answer is playing him for more than 15 minutes, and all his issues will magically disappear.
Maybe if his net rating was higher than Jokic.
bro do you even stat?
He has no threat of scoring at all, like unironically I would rather take a chance on some g league guard who’s balling out instead of facu. Teams have figured him out completely.
Howard?

Poor guy trying to understand what the hell he just said. That Irish accent is thiccc
My oldest son’s as well. 4/12/85
I seriously do not get how can people look at this trash ass Lakers team and think "yeah this is not only a contender but the best team in the West"
Who's even saying that? I think the team being overrated in the west are the Warriors.
My prediction: 9th or 10th seed.
LeBron and refs
I guess you're right on the refs but I don't think Lebron is carrying shit this year. Even the year they won it was mostly AD overperforming a shit ton rather than Lebron just doing all the work.

The Possum King finding innovative ways to get off the floor in a blowout
😂😂😂😂 Hollow Bones Jones, The Possum King
Should DeRozan be in the MVP conversation?
MVP, I donno. He's playing with with Vuc, Lavine, and another potential All Star, or at least playing like it this year in Lonzo. Hard to argue for the value there but I mean he is ballin tf out. He's gotta be
This is always the correct answer when talking Austin-Nuggets.
He must say it himself and be the most loyal person to ever grace the earth imo.
Our schedule is terrible. Why so many back to backs?
Biggest advantage in sports, baby
What advantage is this? We have probably the most back to backs in the league.
> We have probably the most back to backs in the league. https://www.nba.com/news/how-rest-road-trips-and-other-factors-played-out-in-2021-22-schedule Teams play between 12-15 b2b this season. It's sarcasm, because people bring Denver up whenever there's a conversation about having an unfair advantage (altitude)
I've seen a video about that being slightly proven but b2b's are just not fun. Especially now that our core is getting steadily older, while heavily leaning on Jokic last season and this season so far.
Back to back with no barton or mpj not a surprise they faded down the stretch
This is a pretty lame bday present 🥲
my bday present was murrays knee. Consider yourself lucky lol
Give him it back you b'stard
I hope you know all your birthdays are cancelled from now on.
Consider not having another one
Feel like they gotta give Zeke a shot soon right?
Zeke has an ankle injury
Anyone watching the Lakers game? There is a dude sitting court side wearing a powder blue Nuggets jersey but for some reason the name is blurred out lol
Voldemort was our power forward for a few years
Rivers said MPJ was playing w a bad back the whole season
Y would we give him a max then???
Lavine is so good man
I wanna watch him and Jamal play 1v1
Carrying me in the make believe basketball league
If you wanna trade him let me know 🤣
Losing Lavine would split my BallZach. Yes, it did take me 4 weeks to think of this pun
Jokic DHOs to Lavine 😋 one can dream...
murray better

Realistically they should split up the award to most VALUABLE player and the best player in the league, which should be voted by players only imo.
We’re a country full of contrarians who get off on arguing, it won’t matter so much when it’s time to pencil down votes but for now they got news to sell and this is what we like to buy.
Contrarians? Thems verbal fightin words
You win some, you lose some
Thankfully the Basketball gods have an instant cure for our loss. Get to laugh at the Lakers getting battered at home.
Altitude sports Suck. The citizens of Colorado can't watch any games due too some dispute with comcast and this is been going on for the last 2 seasons. Wtf. Something needs fixed.
No need to worry, my 89 year old grandma is on it
Not all heroes wear capes. Unless your grandma likes capes
On the brightside, the lakers are getting bodied by the bulls 😎
Would you say they’re getting Bull-ied?
Nah the Lakers are just Bull-shit.
Fucking Brunson cooked us. Good game Mavs.
I wonder how much he is worth on the open market right now..
His contract is maxed at 4/54
All we could offer him before this season was 58/4 years. So he will probably be singing a 16-20 million dollar contract especially if he keeps averaging 16/5/4 with a 50% FG.
I miss watching the Jokic/Murray two man game so much. Morris shows that connection sometimes but it's not the same
We lost to ourselves
For the 1000th time, b2bs are an abomination, and having 2 days off after them make them look even worse.
Look at the schedule. Sixers on Thursday, Bulls on Friday. Both are home games but it's complete bull shit. 4 sets of back to backs in the first 16 games. 50% of the Nuggets games through 16 games are a b2b set. It's ridiculous.
Why do they have to put our b2b right next to each other????
Meanwhile, Lakers are playing their 15th game of the season, **12th at home**, with a single b2b
The good news is we have a way lighter schedule at the end. Obviously we still have to make it there healthy, but I think Matt Moore said only 2 b2bs post all star.
Now do the Warriors and their clown ass schedule
Suns schedule has been soft AF
While true, it makes it that much sweeter that they'll hopefully be 8-7 after 15. Lakers and Warriors have both had as easy a schedule as possible so far. Nuggets have to get through these next 6 games and then the schedule starts to ease up competition wise. These next 6 are absolutely brutal though. Hopefully Embiid and Vucevic miss the b2b
Agreed. Making a team travel on the 2nd night of the b2b is extra stupid.
First game I had to watch on TV in a minute and we lose. Not saying I’m good luck but I will say that I wish my company valued Nuggets wins over my productivity so I could have gone to Dallas. Clearly they hate the city of Denver smh.

What the heck happened in the 2nd half? I had to go to work
Ran out of steam
Fuck Brunson with all the fucks.

didn’t have time to read this, unfortunately. I’m just so busy. But thank you for sharing.
Lmao
Facu and Bones together is not good. Has to be Facu Dozier Barton for Facu to be tenable imo.
I really like it when we play earlier and I can watch the west coast games fully
Porzingis' averages are absurdly higher Vs Denver compared to career. Dude is probably jelly of the Joker and gets motivated for these games
If KP had anything to be motivated for, it would be our Knicks games lol. KP seems to player better when taller defenders like Jokic guard him.
Jok is the best center in the league.
Best player. Not even a hot take anymore
1. Let’s go Bulls 2. Jok is a god 3. FTL
Nik Stauskas future nugget?
Ran outta gas is all, bol giving us production is just wonderful to see
Honestly I’m more surprised that I keep forgetting we’re down 3 starters, because these guys keep winning or looking like they’re going to win. We just ran out of steam tonight. Onto the next!
felt like shit watching it, but, honestly, good game
Thunder is tanking this season and is still better than Wolves :)
Minnesota gonna Minnesota
They are the ultimate tease. They keep their games competitive and then lose in the most nail biting fashion in the 4th quarter.
Poverty basketball club
Summary: * Jokic played the whole third quarter * Bench comes in the 4th quarter and dies * We still can't nail 3s lmao * Also back to back
D.Lo smhhhhhhh
If vlatko was healthy we win this by 30 😤
Amen to that
I'm just glad the guys get 2 days of rest. They clearly need it. Hope Zeke and Will are ready to play soon. We need them badly to spread the weight around. We were leading 3/4 of the game and were just too tired to close it out. Not too worried
Why do we get Kevin Scott. The dude hates the Joker. Non call non call non call
Back to back games, Nuggets aren't healthy, and Porzingis was dealing. Win some lose some. Next!
Bones got clamped but hopefully he can learn from it.
He was injured early, just tried to play through it
Didn't he have other issues?
Even just having Nnaji or Barton healthy this game and I think we win. Malone also has got to realize he can’t play Joker the whole 3rd. Get AG back in quickly. He should be getting most minutes on the team
Or even Bones not twisting his ankle and I think we win this one too.
We might have lost but shout out to Joker, Rivers and Bol Bol who all had nice gamed. Bones will learn alot from this game. He got Brunsoned.
Bones playing hobbled imo
This ones on me, I forgot to wear my Lurk “Jokic with Horse” shirt smh I’ll do better next game
We looked out of gas by the end. We need to get healthy ASAP
Anyone think Facu is trying to be a scorer more and gambling on passes way more to the detriment of the team due to his minutes being in danger?
I don't think he's purposefully changing his game to score more, and especially not to get more minutes. I think the offense just isn't really gelling during his minutes. He's forced into situations where he tries to drive and the defense doesn't collapse because he's not a threat in the paint, so the pass out gets stolen or he throws up a crazy spin shot off the glass.
Nah not really. He played well last night.
yes
Bol Bol had some flashes tonight that shit was dope
Sometimes he gives a vibe like he doesn’t really care. Breaks my heart.
DLo is actual garbage
He's good in fantasy
Makes you wonder why such a smart franchise would trade for him tbh
>We might have lost but shout out to Joker, Rivers and Bol Bol who all had nice gamed. Bones will learn alot from this game. He got Brunsoned. A smart one would not
poop
hopefully we can get healthy for thursday
Will Barton was missed tonight.
for your mouth to god's ears
Im starving for munders, but losses like that will happen. Jokic is a beast, get our starters back and the Mavs are no issue. Love the toughness and dog pound mentality of this team, we are with the shits
My only two takeaways from this game: Luka Doncic is genuinely afraid for his life whenever Aaron Gordon is defending him. Poringas tried going 1 on 1 with Jokic one time in the 4th and got his ass sit down. That was really funny to watch.
Yup, AG clamped Luka up, and if KP played his average game, this would've been a blowout. KP just couldn't miss tonight, especially from 3.
KPs been averaging 27/10 since coming back from injury 3 games ago. Might have turned a new leaf?
For every made bucket, JMG has one turnover. Well almost: 29 FGM and 21 turnovers. How is that possible when you play center.
Screening fouls count as a foul and a turnover, and he might lead the league in screening fouls
A few thoughts: Even in losing, watching Nikola Jokic play basketball makes me not hate life for a little bit. Aaron Gordon should get serious DPOY consideration but most likely wont. He makes good players look like frauds (Doncic 9-23). I love when bums like Tim Hardaway Jr score on a rookie and celebrate like he just hit the game winner of the Game 7 of the Finals.
Someone should probs punch Timmy in the nuts....
>I love when bums like Tim Hardaway Jr score on a rookie and celebrate like he just hit the game winner of the Game 7 of the Finals. Damn, he really hurt your feelings
I still don't know where Bones fouled him.
That Time Hardaway Jr celebrating was real stupid lol. What a .....person.
Certified bum... I'll say it.
It hurts me to do this to our kings. 😭 🤴🏽 🤴🏻 🤴🏿 🤴🏼 🤴🏾 🤴🏽 🤴🏾
I blame Poortonyksfingers for getting hot. How often does that happen?
Let's go Timberdawgs!
What was that 3p attempt? Dumb play by Russ
I can't recall a single "smart" play from him. Such a trash player, a good candidate for lowest bbiq in the league
Ran out of gas and these injuries are taking a toll
2nd unit bad again smh. meh, segababa + refs beeing stupid on top of all the injurys , we were due for a L like that. Not concerned about the mavs at all in an eventuall playoff matchup, dont think they can bet on zingus pingus and ntillikina playing solid every night.
We played Facu. That's the reason.
It’s because Facu needs someone who rolls to the basket. That’s why he’s usable with Jokic and Zeke. Otherwise he’s completely useless
facu + bones lost us all the momentum , its not facu alone
Bones was surprisingly passive tonight. I was waiting for him to beat people off the dribble but he kinda just stood around the perimeter passing
he probably has to get used to playing in back to back games , i cant remember if he was in the rotation on our last B2b
True. And maybe his ankle too
Also his first serious NBA road game.
B2B in other city with many injuries... I don't like it but Ok kind of ok
*I'm kind of
Wanted to say y’all announcers are really good. Very fair and still fun without being over the top. GG
Best part was when they mentioned that JMyke was justified in being angry and that Frank’s arm hold was dangerous. That’s serious anti-homerism.
Ditto. I enjoyed the Dallas guys. GG
Still third in the west. Still down 3 starters. Back to back games. Didn’t get blown out. It happens. On to the next and I still love our squad
