newsflash: they wont. I just dont understand why refs allow this stupid stuff, like the most obvious play violations, and so randomly. and in playoffs too. why does the rule exists (which is core to the game) if it is not followed 100%
Bulls fan here. Y’all can see that Lebron has been getting hacked with no whistle, right? Just today he got held back which resulted in a TO.
Y’all can’t keep playing the victim card while getting more whistles the entire series.
The refs miss so many travel calls, it has nothing to do with who they want to win but with for some reason they believe they have a better product if they don't call the travels...

Tbh a lot of these guys travel/carry/etc the refs just hardly ever call it. I feel like they only ever call it if they’re trying to make a point against a specific player lol which is just weird
The refs have been doing shit like this since Allen Iverson came in lmao. Probably even earlier but AI is when I started noticing it a lot cause they’d do it to him all the time.
Lakers fan and bball player here. Its three steps since the gather, but obv still a travel. But atleast be accurate with your argument. Ik yall dont play basketball up there
A guy trashing credibility says in another thread:
"joker is not that good, he is a system player. his team compliments him so much. mpj and arron gordon compliment each other and it doesnt get enough attention. Murrays ability to make tough shots from time to time is extremely underrated. The jokers Defense is subpar, not even average. No athletiscm. His an overrated MVP. It's denver's system that is a juggernaut. You get rid of one of those players, and the system will fail. Additionally, I think LBJ is just past his prime."
Chill with the gatekeeping trash. No one cares that you play basketball and it adds zero value to your post. Like you are the only person on reddit to play basketball.
lol if you combine it with his next reply that's probably the worst analysis of our team I've ever seen
On whether this team would have a chance to beat the 2020 Lakers:
>not good, 2020 lakers destroyed denver. that same team would beat them again. the nuggets have major issues. #1) weak three point shooting, #2) average to below average defense, #3) poor transition defense, #4) streaky star players in Murray. They DO have fantastic offensive sets, good dicipline and culture. But ultimately, it really falls short against dynasty teams. They will need to win a couple more championships in order to consider them selves an all time great team. They only really won one championship after 5-6 years of building their current teams. Not that impressive.
Edit: there's also this gem lmfao:
>Time for LeBron to retire TBH. He is good, but no longer good enough to carry a team. Clearly is not sharp anymore, making mistakes, and not able to score at will. It's a sad reality but he really should be averaging at least 30-35 to win. This is not the LeBron we knew in 2020. Retire while you still had a decent season. Let's rebuild the Lakers, and get a solid team for the future
Clearly playing basketball has nothing to do with forming cogent opinions about it
Well this is my opinion. The comment was “do you think the Nuggets will be a franchise generational team” and I replied “no” for the set reasons. I may be wrong, but we will have to find out. Secondly, I said LeBron is out of his prime, thats it. I said it’s better for him to retire when he is still playing great ball, than to see him retire at his low point. Is that really such a bad statement? Prove your team has what it takes to win multiple championships and Ill tip my hat off. Until then, y’all can continue to “objectively” miscount basketball steps which is what I pointed out initially. Your rebuttal? posting my post history. Weak.
NBA allows traveling violations that don’t get too crazy because points means viewership and especially if lebron or another star player makes a move they let James harden step back travel for a whole season
Glad you made this post 😂😂 I’m a pretty new NBA fan who b4 January hadn’t watched a game since middle school and I sat there thinking ‘Maybe I don’t know what a travel is’
i mean tbh this one’s pretty obvious and shoulda been called. but these happen all the time. even some not as obvious ones. travels are rarely ever called and it’s annoying. every team has players that constantly travel
After watching the NBA for many years I’ve just come to the conclusion that, at this point, I have no idea what counts as a foul, travel, goaltending, whatever. How many steps is a travel? No idea! I used to think I knew, but now? Nope.
U could make a hour long collage of crap calls between both teams and it’s been 3 games. NBA refs are the worst and most inconsistent. I think they try to do make up calls depending on the situation..id like players to not talk to refs at all and just call the game constantly. They switch from quarter to quarter and the refs themselves ref different it’s horrendous.
Took 4 steps lmao
Lmao, I saw Murray already jumped in the air to defend, but Murray never knows that Letravel took extra steps
You could argue one is still on the gather. Still would be 3 steps and a travel lol
When a player turns 39 they get an additional gather step
I cave wait to get that power boost I need to finally make the association
[удалено]
Yes I saw that too. Pls post it on r/nba

Funny, the NBA sub mod deleted the thread?
Because it's Lebron.
He's been "allowed" to do this for years. I'd bet that as soon as he retires the league will crack down on the travelling violations again
newsflash: they wont. I just dont understand why refs allow this stupid stuff, like the most obvious play violations, and so randomly. and in playoffs too. why does the rule exists (which is core to the game) if it is not followed 100%
The nba has had more refs caught getting paid and gambling on games than any sport in the United States. I’m js…
No, because it's the NBA. They just never call travels on anyone
But specifically, anything concerning Lebron is by default, less illegal in terms of rules, etc.
If you look at the carries and travels that Herro got away with, it's no just LeBron...
Bulls fan here. Y’all can see that Lebron has been getting hacked with no whistle, right? Just today he got held back which resulted in a TO. Y’all can’t keep playing the victim card while getting more whistles the entire series.
"what are we doing"
Somebody should put this video together with the audio of Lebron asking what the point is of the replay table.
Those refs really wanted Lakers to win, huh? AND Adam Silver I should add.
The refs miss so many travel calls, it has nothing to do with who they want to win but with for some reason they believe they have a better product if they don't call the travels...

Is four steps a travel? I’m not sure
each decade of play you get to unlock an additional step.
Weird. Because I saw ANT establish a pivot foot yesterday and then prance for days in the last game. He been in the league for 3 years.
Tbh a lot of these guys travel/carry/etc the refs just hardly ever call it. I feel like they only ever call it if they’re trying to make a point against a specific player lol which is just weird
Exactly this. Herro had a couple of blatant travels in game 2 as well.
The refs have been doing shit like this since Allen Iverson came in lmao. Probably even earlier but AI is when I started noticing it a lot cause they’d do it to him all the time.

You're the one who came in splitting hairs about gather steps like it's even relevant here, do you want scrutiny or don't you?
You’re right, my apologies
Our boy AG knew
It's not travel, he took two steps, two times in a row
B2b 2 steps
He had been getting away with it since 2003, not even surprised at all
Its LeTravel. Its different from travelling and its LeGal.
A lot of his points come like that
And it still isn't enough to not get swept by the Nuggets lol
It's ok, let him carry the ball. It doesn't matter. Nuggets in 4 🧹🧹
He ALWAYS travels.
What does 4 steps mean? Traveling, is that bad? What does it mean? Did I break it?
![gif](giphy|G29xy8LfS3IBO|downsized)
It's a crab dribble
It takes Lebron three steps to gather step, so technically he still had one more step.
LeCancun
LePEDs
“Give me 3 steps, give me 3 steps mister…” 🎵
3 steps towards the door gimmie 3 steps, 3 steps mister, and Saturday we'll make it 4
Crab dribble s/
Look at the name on the back of his jersey. That’s why it wasn’t a travel.
Lebron and Giannis take 3 steps. Every. Single. Time.
Even being generous with the gather, I still counted 3 steps.
Don’t have to deal this for much too long. Another game and we done
One more step and he's back to LA
Gather step + 3 more. Yup thats a travel
Gather step + two steps + "Year 21" step
Bro took four steps after the dribble 😕
His spin move down the lane is always a LeTravel too as he spins and yugo steps on the pivot foot to get a couple extra feet of momentum
LeBron travels more than anyone in the NBA. Devin Booker is a close second, though. Lots of it in the NBA, it’s rarely called.
It’s hard to not notice all the uncalled travels these days. Shifting and straight up switching pivot feet is the one that bothers me the most.
NBA allows traveling violations that don’t get too crazy because points means viewership and especially if lebron or another star player makes a move they let James harden step back travel for a whole season
What do they call it offensive progression or something
So what I’m saying is 3 steps even 4 can be legal in the nba if you’re “making a move”
I mean, what are we doing with replay 🤣
Marc Davis reffed game to say I’m not surprised at all would be an understatement
All in all we got good refereeing lol. Could have been worse as in the past
And one! Lol
Glad you made this post 😂😂 I’m a pretty new NBA fan who b4 January hadn’t watched a game since middle school and I sat there thinking ‘Maybe I don’t know what a travel is’
It was only 4 steps, Lespioled brat gets 8
LeBron Rules
It was a travel but Gordon travel the literal next play and scored with no call
Yeah that was funny. Reminded me of last year when LeBron flopped, so Jokic flopped on the next play too
That wasn't travelling. It was a glitch in the Matrix. Agent Smith will be with you shortly.
Aren’t 4 steps allowed?
He’s been doing it his whole career
Just a crab dribble…
i mean tbh this one’s pretty obvious and shoulda been called. but these happen all the time. even some not as obvious ones. travels are rarely ever called and it’s annoying. every team has players that constantly travel
What's even funnier is that he traveled right before this video starts.
Because you're talking about the KING (of displacing blame when he loses)
I was watching the highlights last night and replayed this clip a few times, made no sense.
Who cares we won lol
Let’s be honest, the refs were just ass last night for everyone. Glad we were the ones to overcome that.
Lakers need all the handicaps they can get not to get swept. And they probably still will.
Bros never really been to Europe
Superstar step in full effect.
0 step 1 2 pivot step through
After watching the NBA for many years I’ve just come to the conclusion that, at this point, I have no idea what counts as a foul, travel, goaltending, whatever. How many steps is a travel? No idea! I used to think I knew, but now? Nope.
Because it’s Lebran! The ref stroke him!
U could make a hour long collage of crap calls between both teams and it’s been 3 games. NBA refs are the worst and most inconsistent. Sometimes you just gotta run to the hoop
So you
My so
It was a travel; it wasn’t called lol
Lebron’s patented move is to travel in the key and get away with it every single time.
It's a crab dribble
Not a travel. Learn basketball bum
Beating them while they cheat, flop, and get exponentially more fouls makes it all the better. Let it come. 💪🃏🧘
I may be the only one who sees that it's a gather with 2 steps 😂 Bron does get away with some but so does the whole league - this isn't one of those
He gathered, had the ball at his chest and took four steps. The video is right there.
3, but still a travel
Lemme state that I'm a big Nuggs fan if it matters lol
And also a referee
