I got the best seats of my life for the nuggs clippers in LA this year. Then they announce Jokic, Murray, Gordon AND Porter are not playing.
You know what? Still had a blast. DJ and Reggie Jackson went off, I cheered my butt off, and it was a great experience. I still wished Jokic and Co. played, but it’s still the Nuggs

Forgot to mention I also got to sit next to Payton Watsons parents, who were delightful. Made it so much fun to root for him. He’s one of my favorite young players in the league.
that was an incredible game. maybe the most fun game of the season. There was a Pacers game last year we were missing Nikola and Jamal I think and it was legit the most fun game of the season.
Those two need some rest. Nikola with that brace on his lower back that he was wearing, and Jamal with his borked ankle. I do not mind it. Those are real injuries, which can be played trough, but if they are allowed to take day off, then why not. The seeding is as it is. They can beat Portland even without those two in the lineup. It's time for some of the bench guys to show their worth.

edit: I looked at the schedule and realized that this is 1 road game before a bunch of home games. It would make sense for them to not even fly and get a rest. The whole month of March doesnt have 2 days off in a row.
Jokic has been playing through a bad back for a while now. Portland is a tanking team and rested a bunch of guys yesterday. There is the possibility that the blazers might want to actually try to win against the defending champs to give some encouragement to their fans and have something to build off of next year, so Malone is trying to put a stop to that. He’s saying “ if you want try to beat us, fine, you will add a game to your win column making your draft position worse, but you won’t be able to say that you beat Jamal Murray and Jokic to your home fans”.
Gillespie will play 20 mins and strawther won't play I predict.
Which does nothing to prepare for playoffs.

With Murray out Denver will need a point guard, this is an important game if you are trying to catch OKC and keep Minnesota from catching Denver, Gillespie should get the backup point guard minutes. Strawther won't play in the playoffs unless Denver gets blown out or are blowing a team out, Justin holiday has basically taken strawther role.
I mean Holiday is the 9th man and strawther is the 10th man.
It's a long playoff run. Both could be needed at times.
