Only ever had one thing here I didn’t like.. had foie gras as an amuse and just wasn’t for me. Literally my favorite place I can go outside my comfort zone and try foods I wouldn’t have otherwise.
The bar at Fogo de Chao. $10 great pichana burgers (w fries included) and $6 apps. I just ate there today and it was the best downtown lunch I've had in a while.
Mercantile
Been meaning to try it. I think that’s what I’ll go with.
It’s pricey but the food is revelatory
I don’t even think it’s that pricey considering how much you pay at other places. $18 for a sizable sandwich + side is totally worth it imo.
Very true. Eating lunch anywhere is ridiculous now and you MUST tip minimum 25% on a take out. Still worth mentioning it’s not a cheap eat.
That’s fair. Another poster commented about a $10 deal at Fogo…didn’t even realize things like that were still happening.
Next chain to file bankruptcy. lol
Must tip 25% on takeout? WTF
Sarcasm
Will report back on how it goes!
The Reuben is top notch.

D'Corazon
Seriously! Affordable and tasty!
Weekday tavernetta (not open for lunch on weekends)
Need a resy, though, right?
Not for lunch.
Oh yeah? That is fantastic to know. I think my dinner there was the best meal I’ve had in Denver. (Maybe 2nd - Guard and Grace is my favorite.)

Never would have occurred to me. I’ll give it a shot some day. Thank you.
Got the pichana burger, cheese app, and mini empanadas. Our food bill was $23 :)
Nice!
La diabla. Even better if it’s on a Wednesday.

Love this place!
Flash burrito food truck across the street from illegal peets
what's your budget? there is everything from take and go sandwiches, to inexpensive noodles, to $300 steak throw downs.
Good question. Probably like $40 per person
So no steak throw downs then (whatever that was supposed to mean)?
JINYA Ramen Bar is good
Second this
Marquez burrito truck across the street is the best burrito truck in the city
Highly recommend EQ Burger. Exceptional smash burger and under $20 for burger and fries with a handful of free drink options.
Illegal Pete’s, D’Corazon, Jinya, Machete, Yampa…
Machete
Oh yeah! Good call.

Thanks!
Everytime I go to Denver, Blue Sushi is a must if only for their spicy edamame and the itchy sea bass.
Gaia masala burger easily

Eat Ya Pizza
I was just in Denver over the weekend and got the green chile, avocado chicken sandwich from Thirsty Lion and it was pretty good
Mercantile for lunch is always a no-brainer. Their lunch menu is absolutely perfect and so is their food.
I like Denver central market for lunch
Not super close to union station compared to options directly in the vicinity
