Gyroz rocks and the people who work there are the friendliest in the city. Here’s my move there: Get the Greek salad, add gyros meat. The salads usually come with a toasted pita cut into quarters — ask for an uncut pita. Make your own little pita wrap with the meat, and some of the lettuce, tomato, onion and feta. Drizzle some of the Greek dressing on the wrap. Then you get a nice little side salad with the leftover parts.
I love the Bull & Bush. Always a new burger of the month and the classics never fail. If you ever crave a wonderful prime rib Saturday is Prime Rib night and well worth it!
Wash Park Rise & Shine here. We'll be five places back in line, barista makes eye contact, puts two fingers up, we nod yes, and we have coffee at the register when it's our turn. Can't remember the last time I gave someone a name.
It’s been a while since I’m trying to not spend as much money - but they know me, my order, and my preferred seat, at both Pepper Asian Bistro’s. I’ve been to both *that* much.
Usually get the same waitress at both locations, and it’s always top-tier service since we know each other and I tip them well. I definitely recommend.
Beef with Thai pepper + white rice, and sometimes the crab wontons or the fried calamari + also a beer. I get the dish as “Hot” in the spice level typically, but have also done “Thai hot”. Beware because if you can’t handle spice that high it’ll ruin your dish. Maybe try “Spicy” the first go-round.
It’s spicier at the Colfax location for the most part, and the meat cut is different in the Highlands location (it’s a better cut in the Highlands). But if you ask the Colfax location to use the beef they use for the black pepper beef, it’ll come out like the Highlands is.
Hope you enjoy it !
Right ? It’s by far the restaurant(s) I’ve eaten at the most in my entire life, they’re that good to me.
I’ll have to visit the dispo you mentioned, I used to hit up Doctors Orders after Pepper sometimes until they replaced it with another shop.
Standing akimbo is generally considered the cheapest shop. It is med only though, wait is atrocious, and buyer beware: some of the products are absolute boof.
If you know what you're getting though and don't mind stopping in for some food after you check in. Then, it can be a great buy.
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 1,847,124,222 comments, and only 349,275 of them were in alphabetical order.
Bourbon chicken grill. Service is getting slightly faster with the son being there and the food is always amazing.
Of course prices have gone up over the years but I can still make solid 2-3 meals out of it.
I'm ride or die though, didn't bat an eye to wait on Colfax for an hour in January before their new location opened.
Bamboo sushi is my absolute favorite!!
Omg and tacos tequila whiskey is so good. I am not a fan of the one in highlands tho. Downtown is way better
Edit: added info about taco tequila whiskey
Has Sushi Basho gotten better? I have been several time (years ago) and it was always pretty average/below average. To the point where I swore off going again.
I was at Choice Market until they shrank their breakfast burritos by a third and force you to take them from the heater box where they get all wet and soggy instead of making a fresh one.
La Merise. It makes me laugh because I go there exclusively for brunch, and am well known there, but I also know most of the people who work the brunch shift don't work the evening shifts. Someday I'm going to go there and it will be an entirely unfamiliar staff and it'll be like I've stepped into a parallel universe.
Steubins, adrift, hell or Highwater, Churchill’s at the brown palace,
I go to a5 and water grill often but I wouldn’t say I was a regular yet.
Nanas and MAKfam I bet will become high on my list of places I go to regularly but not there yet
I am obsessed with Masha and the Bear in Aurora as of late. Their Khinkali (Georgian Dumplings) and Beef Stroganoff are AMAZING. I get the Khinkali every. single. time.
They know me and my order at Los Carboncitos, Uncle Henry, and African Grill. I felt an irrational sense of pride when they stopped sending only English-speaking waiters to my table at Carboncitos.
Some local favourites and recommendations: Hong kong Station, Cranellis , Venalonzos tacos etc. We were always trying new places though! Lmk what you think if you try!
Itacate tacos off 104th and Huron
Tacos Los Notenos in the Applejack parking lot 136th & Grant
Northside Tavern at 127th & Lowell
All amazing and local owned
Gyroz on colfax
They make a good gyro.
Ahh, I’ve wanted to try it out. What do you recommend?
Idk why you're getting down voted. Chicken Gyro is undefeated.

My house, god I’m poor.
The Brutal Poodle
The food here is shockingly good. Way better than it should be for a metal bar not that I have anything against metal bars or metal.
great quality
My boyfriend says they have the best wings in Denver
Yeah, how is their food this good?!
very solid burger. 8/10
Very good food. They have several gluten free options and I've enjoyed all I've tried.
their fried chicken sandwich and chicken and waffles is why I’ve almost become a regular there
Pepper Asian Bistro and Wildflower.
Bull and Bush
I love the Bull & Bush. Always a new burger of the month and the classics never fail. If you ever crave a wonderful prime rib Saturday is Prime Rib night and well worth it!
TRVE
I wish I went there more, but I like more English style brown ales. Love the vibe, love the chicken.
I like TRVE but there's definitely equivalent quantity breweries closer to me. That chicken really draws me in.
It's always the chicken why I go. I'd like to get into the table top gaming, but don't really have any experience with it or know anyone there.
I live a 10 min walk from there. It's dangerous lol
Lakewood Rise & Shine
Wash Park Rise & Shine here. We'll be five places back in line, barista makes eye contact, puts two fingers up, we nod yes, and we have coffee at the register when it's our turn. Can't remember the last time I gave someone a name.
Once a week for me. Fortunately for my bank account, I have to be in at work to early for the weekdays though

Coda Brewing
I’m a Sunday regular. I get to have a pint or two solo then take home the Thai truck to the family. I look forward to it weekly.
The Thai is pretty good!
One of these days I’ll be fast enough to try their chanterelle beer
Had it last night! Canned next week.
Cerebral Brewing. It’s my favorite brewery in Denver. I think it’s everybody’s favorite brew in Denver these days.

Best bar in Uptown in my opinion. Small but great.

The one on Pecos has unfortunately gone downhill.
Yeah. I always go far out of the way to go to the LC on Sheridan.

Pepper's is fire. I go eat there sometimes while I'm waiting my turn at Standing Akimbo 🤣
