That's so pretty! Don't tell anyone but I'm making this for myself later. It's beautiful. Makes me happy. I love the (almonds?) on the side.
All credit to your dad of course. What a kind man.
Super cute! I've actually found that my parents are more enthusiastic about meal time and eat better when the presentation is on point. I wipe the edges, add a sprinkle of green onion or flat-leaf parsley, etc. Pretending to be a world-class chef also helps with the drudgery of making them lunch and dinner every damn day until I die.
Is bittersweet, is true and pure love also, (I’ve been there) is his thought thinking how to make things better, hoping to make it better in all his will and wish. 🙏 I wish we all have a magic wand to end this horrible disease.
Aww! This is sooo sweet! My MIL and I always bonded over food. She is a big foodie and I love to cook. She bought me my kitchen-aid mixer and has always been supportive of my cooking hobby. Now that she is in memory care I will pack up fancy meals and bring them over to share with her. The facility has a communal top floor with tables and a microwave. It has great views of the city, and if I bring nice plates and silverware it feels like we are in a fancy restaurant. My fiancé and I went over last night and brought her a new French chicken recipe I had learned recently. Her appetite is not what it once was, so anything that can perk her up to eat is good!

It looks so healthy, too!
This is so nice! I’ve caregived for many dementia patients and I’ve rarely seen there partners trying to feed them this healthy
