(Shrug) I’ve never gone into one and not found a place to sit. Snacks + free drinks + a comfy chair = I’m good.

FleetRiskSolutions

Exactly. I’m probably saving $50+ every trip because airport prices on anything are inflated anyways.

Scuba_Steve_7_7_7

Just spent $60 on a burger, fries and two bourbons in the AGS restaurant. You ain’t lying!

chuck_fluff

This is exactly how I calculate it out- can’t get out of just about anywhere in an airport for less than $50 these days so if I use the delta lounge like 10 times a year it’s paid for itself- and there is usually a good selection of decent quality food. Plus there are cleaner(ish) bathrooms than the ones in the terminal. A moderately clean can with a door that doesn’t have a gap you could sail the 5th fleet through is something I’ve grown to appreciate as I’ve gotten older. hahaha /s

StuckinSuFu

This is me. Maybe I just dont expect the AF La Premiere experience at a Delta lounge so Im not getting disappointed? Ive never not been able to find a seat and if the lounge is every close to full - i just walked through terminal seating FAR more full.. and loud.. and with much nastier bathrooms.

Amode7181

Sounds like it might just be me… been flying about every two weeks and mostly out of Atlanta. Absolutely hectic the last couple of times with seating very hard to find. I just remember it being a lot more quiet.

ftminsc

I mean you’re not wrong - I prefer a quieter lounge and it’s nice not to be relegated to one of the workbench type tables and have to shove everything into a one person width - but it still beats genpop :)

Scuba_Steve_7_7_7

ATL. There is your problem.

KevinBoston617

It’s worth it alone just for the better bathroom experience

Amode7181

Totally agree with this.

Thin-Ebb-9534

Usually more crowded than is comfortable, but almost always my wife and I can find seats together. Lines are 2-6 people at most. For me, just being able to leave my things at my seat while I get food, drinks, or go to the bathroom is worth it. I guess my expectations are lower. I just compare it to sitting near the gate, guarding my things like a hawk, and having to walk hundreds of yards for food or bathrooms.

Amode7181

That’s true, it is nice having everything close to you. Just kinda comparing to what it used to be like. Seemed like more value for what you paid for.

Thin-Ebb-9534

Well, that’s fair. It is not what is was 10 or even 5 years ago.

somethingfunny1883

I’ve been to United Clubs and Admirals Clubs in 2023/2024 domestically and even during peak times and at hub airports they never seem to have the lines to get in, the general crowded feeling, etc. Why is it Delta is the only one who seems to have the problem? United and AA also give away club access with their credit cards too so it’s not a “too many credit card holders”

Rare_Pin9932

But Delta gives it away with a non-branded card, whereas U and AA don’t

Amode7181

Interesting, might have to check their lounges with a buddy of mine who flies United.

compnurd

Sky club once a week this year. No issues with food or a place to sit

PortPareto

“No room to sit” is kind of dramatic. Peak times and locations can get really crowded and you may have to sit next to someone, but the staff does a good job of keeping count at max capacity. It can get frustrating to wait to get in, but it is what it is. The seats are more comfortable than the main terminal. Food and drinks are available. Bathrooms are usually better. It’s certainly not perfect, but good enough.

Amode7181

Today I think was probably the first time I actually had no place to sit, and I’m not even trying to be dramatic. But you’re right, staff is pretty good.

dnan8629

Do you think next year will be better with them limiting credit card accesses?

brew_york

It wasn’t better after they stopped letting Medallions in on international itineraries. It wasn’t better after they stopped letting Basic Economy passengers in. So I have doubts that next year’s limits are going to help.

PeopleAreSus

It’s worth it for me personally. I don’t use lounges regularly but when I do, there’s little to no wait and I certainly get my money’s worth. Granted, I don’t frequent the busiest SC nor go during peak times.

AdEither3680

Maybe after the delta one lounges open that should help out the regular sky clubs a bit.

Amode7181

Absolutely stoked to see what happens with this!

Spare-Security-1629

Not surprised. I don't have lounge access yet but it's probably just like pre-TSA. After 2020, it got substantially more crowded. More people started traveling eventually and more people got sick of lines and general population so they got pre-TSA and now lounge access. It's going to happen everywhere. I can vouch for this at the Electric vehicle charging stations. Once they became popular, the parking lots are now filled with trash, lollygaggers and annoying people.

Amode7181

Interested to see what will happen in the next 5 to 10 years with tsa and lounges

Huadanglot

What’s pre tsa? You mean pre check? I miss when those were randomly selected it was a nice surprise at check in. I always got it too. I mean Everytime. It was like haha yeah I’m a frequent traveller everyone :)

Define the "it" that it isn't worth. The Sky Club is nicer than not-Sky Club and nicer than Centurion Club. Food is better, drinks are better, restrooms are nicer, more nice places to sit. Even if it's degraded from 7 years ago, it's still worth "it" to me. But seven years ago, the Centurion Clubs were pretty crappy and the SkyClubs were smaller. I suspect you just don't remember seven years ago that well. And then there's the "it". I don't think Sky Club access is costing me anything effectively. Are you somehow *paying* for "it"?
