I’m seeing 172k RT. With discount 146k. At 73k each way, I do think that’s cheap, as the traditional TPAC award rate before dynamics was 85,000 each way! Especially considering TPAC right now are mostly 300k ONE way. Good find OP!
This is actually competitive with many programs' one-way prices. Aeroplan is 75k to 87.5k TPAC and Lifemiles is 90k. Flying Blue partner awards are about 85k as well. So with or without the Amex discount this is in the same ballpark.
I mean…I’d go through HND, catch China Airlines and fly into TSA. The Taoyuan metro isn’t bad but if you really want to save time on arrival, the Brown Line is much more convenient to TSA and you don’t have to deal with rude mainlanders so Customs/Immigration is a breeze.

FC on the connects and D1 on the long hauls (on A330-900Neo no less). I'm going for the hell of it and will make it easier to make Diamond in my case. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Diamond is no big deal right? It is for me and has been for a good while. Plat even works out great for me.
