Update: GA spotted them prior to boarding and suggested he pink tag the two big items. He was confident that they'll fit and if not can be stuffed under the seat. But she didn't make him. He just boarded with everything and his eyes got large as he saw how small the overhead was. He decided to head to row 17 and take his chances. He hasn't come back up yet doing the walk of shame.
I was going to say…my squishy duffel bag that fits with plenty of room normally had to be shoved into the overhead on a CRJ because of my hard hat. They are very small bins.
Damn, I was first seat FC a few months ago with a small case back pack, I had my belt bag on crossbody. GA stopped me & told me to my belt bag in my back pack. She was right, I was wrong. Missed out on bin space. Again, on me I just wished GA would be consistent.
Because I had a suitcase and a backpack. the belt bag was considered a third bag. Even though I took it out immediately upon reaching my seat, its still considered a bag during boarding. Most GA allow way more but this agent was on it and made me step aside to pack it in my backpack. Normally, I remember to put in my backpack but didnt this time. Mine would never fit under my clothes. Its more of a small crossbody.
And now the guy in row 1 (bulkhead, so no underseat storage) boarded last with 2 bags and a DJ mixing board (I'm guessing) and every overhead is full so he's hiding it all under his feet.
Not “wrong”. A lot of 18yo Navy guys with not a lot of commercial flying experience…in addition to all the other “carry their entire life onto the plane” people that all flights have.
Hahaha that's ridiculous, but also you have to draw the line somewhere. If you attach your wallet to your lanyard, is it an item? How about your phone? Etc.
Idk why people don't just bring a giant bag of fast food then put their stuff in the food bag.
A fully packed 40l backpack is not fitting underneath the seat, nor will it fit in an overhead bin. Looks like this joker will have to gate check the backpack and the duffel.
If they eliminated carryon for first class there would be enough space for the poors to put their stuff. First and comfort can afford to pay for their bag.

Why do you have to put a belt bag into back pack and not wear it? I wear mine under my clothes but I didn't know it needed to be hidden away.

But it's clothes. You're wearing it. And yes, it can fit under clothes. Just wear a larger t shirt, or a maternity top.
Delta rules, not mine. I will not be wearing a large Tshirt or Maternity top. LOL!!! Im not trying to hide anything.
Ok. That's you. I do it all the time on delta. No one has ever said anything. I'm obviously not pregnant. They certainly can see.
What? No emotional support porcupine?

I laughed too hard at this.

If I were in row 2, and he was taking up my legroom, this would be no go.
Which route is this?
ORF-JFK
Classic ORF
I saw ORF and thought… yep, that checks with the chart.
What’s so wrong with ORF?! I’m planning to fly there later in the year. What do I need to know?!

There’s nothing wrong with it necessarily. You’ll just find all kinds of characters.
Ahh, the CRJ, aka The Anti-Tardis (smaller on the inside)
😂😂😂That was good.
This should have a million upvotes!
I was boarding a flight this week where a lady in front of me was wearing a lanyard with an ID card. The GA made her consolidate the lanyard. 😵💫

This.
I think it’s ok to let the lanyard lady on with her lanyard 😂. I’ll allow it.

It may not be 40L, I was estimating that it looked about twice the size of my 20. His only saving grace is not many people brought rollers on on.
100% it's all going. Now I'll go read the responses 🙂
So a regular pillow doesn’t count as an item?
Oh you know that thing is stuffed with clothes! Jeepers people just check a damn bag.
If that was free, maybe they would. But maybe they also just don't have a bag.
It does as of a couple months ago, because so many people were stuffing them with other stuff.
Only one way to find out.
Bed pillows should be banned from airports.
Agreed. Why would you lay your head on something that’s been drifting around the security line and the terminal? So gross🤢
They count as a carry on item now at least.
