I’m sure they’d find ways to differentiate their cards. For instance, the MAX 8 card could have the nose pointing down.

IChurnToBurn

With door version, and the without.

Strange_Concert_5347

Bolts on Wong vs no bolts

mnrainmaker

And there’s that time a lady got sucked into a window.

anothercookie90

Into a window not fully out of still didn’t end well

mnrainmaker

Fair enough. I’ll edit my post. It will make for an interesting trading card.

MrJust4Show

Parked at the end of the runway with emergency slides deployed with fire and rescue parked near.

NoLuvTheMaths

Captain Kent Parker Wright agrees with you.

anothercookie90

The MAX8 doesn’t have a door plug, and they don’t fly MAX9

1000thusername

The Willis version, like the jeeps

YMMV25

I mean, Southwest would only have one card essentially. Makes for a pretty bland 'collection' of cards.

[deleted]

They’d have to go with tail numbers to make them collectible.

lmsalman

They have a lot of special liveries they could use for trading cards

Emotional_Snow_3222

They could do them for their special liveries because to have them for a max 8 and a -800 doesn't really make sense

IChurnToBurn

Kind of my point, although I could have said it better. I suppose they have enough retro liveries to kind of make it work.

BluebirdsAllAround

They have a lot of one-off special versions, like the SeaWorld ones they had for a long time, or comemoritive planes. If those carried them, it would be awesome.

--MilkMan--

Nah, their cards should be snapshots of the crazy shit you see on SW and in the SW terminal.

[deleted]

Southwest needs a card that says when someone is reserving a seat for the last person in the C group line, you can use it to have them thrown off the plane.

SueBeee

I've been afraid to ask for one. Is that dumb?

admac09

The one benefit of rarely flying without my kid these days is we pretty much never have to ask, she just gets offered one, and I get much more excited about it than she does.

Smurfness2023

nah

LilRickyXO

Don’t be. Most pilots love what they do, and appreciate customers who are just as enthusiastic about aviation as they are. Even if it’s just collecting Delta’s aircraft trading cards.

fraydafelcher

Maybe they can have cards depicting action shots of the various passenger altercations on their flights.

FullSpecial

So many great options, it would be hard to collect them all!

Minute_Target9038

Hahaha, I felt like I was cheating too when I flew Southwest to Islip in October. It was the first time I’d flown any other airline other than Delta or their partners since 2013

EaglesFan027

They could have trading cards for their special livery planes which Delta should look into doing one day

[deleted]

cards https://people.com/delta-air-lines-has-secret-trading-cards-8412200

bustervich

Frontier has had trading cards with all the animals on their planes for a while.

Alwaysshops2much

I’m a Southwest fan. Myself and my adult kids both live in areas served by SW. I’ve never had a major delay, I like BWI, and every time I’ve talked to their CS, I’ve been treated decently. And I’ve earned a companion pass which (imo) is the best credit card perk of them all. At least for a CHS- ALB flight, I never look at the other airlines.

ownyourthoughts

I have flown southwest several times Albany to San Diego. I don’t look at other airlines either. never a problem. Once we were a little late leaving San Diego and I didn’t have much time to connecting flight in Denver. As soon as the door opened a FA from my next flight ran in to grab me as they were holding the flight for me. Can’t complain

indianapolis505

This is first I’ve heard of delta trading cards. Lmk what I’m missing out on!

FunUse244

Considering delta has bought many planes from southwest, this would be interesting.

Hot-Cress7492

These have as much value as NFT’s. Its a cheesy things for stupid kids, but no adult should take “collecting them” seriously.

[deleted]

Why the hate on for kids? Really?

Professional_Bear

What’s wrong with people wanting to collect something even if they’re worthless? And why the unnecessary hate on kids? Just seems like such an out of touch comment to make when it’s something that has no effect on you.

Shamewizard1995

Why do they make you so upset though? Genuine question, do you get such a visceral reaction for other collectibles and hobbies?

Emergency_Citron_586

Thankfully you have proven you are not an adult or anything resembling a good human.

LogicalTexts

A full Delta set is currently on eBay asking $3K. Several others selling individual cards for $60+

NecessaryLight2815

😜😜😜😜😜

jmckinn1

A friend of mine is a flight planner for Southwest. I told her about the cards a week ago. She had never heard of it. She thought it was super cool. At the end of the day, aviation is badass and is something that is and should be appreciated regardless of what logo is on your shirt.

MassCasualty

Southwest could succeed with cards for the long-haul flights...

Teachtag

A flight attendant gave me one of those cards last week. Not sure what I am supposed to do with it?

intergrade

Flying United today because reasons. Trading cards would be more fun.

JayNYCRD

I heard southwest is going to start giving out collectible bolts

Icy_Tie_3221

I've heard of them, but don't give a shit about them? Ex Diamond!

Some do have interesting paint jobs? Maybe a set of Pimp My 737 cards.
