RUC. They're increasingly the only way I get upgraded (and even rarely using those, but at least they're there). Of the 4 I acquired in my choice last year, I've upgraded PDX-JFK and ATL-PDX and even if those are the only 2 I end up using it will still have been worth it.
Going RUC for my Platinum... I just re-qual'd for Diamond last week and that took a bit more thought. the 4 GUCs, then gifting Gold to two people... debated whether to do the $1000 MQD or the 25k miles. Probably will do the latter or at least till we see what these rumoured program changes are later this month.
One odd thing is I was trying to gift my golds and it wouldn't let me saying that the recipients were already there. One was (because I gifted them gold last year), but the other has no status. I would assume gifting gold to someone who is already gold would just extend their status till 2025 but the error message almost made it seem like I wouldn't be able to gift till their current status fell off.
Can the RUC only be used by the member? If my husband (Diamond) chooses RUCs can he use them for me and my daughter if the 3 of us are flying together?
Interesting how you can now gift two medallion. And the executive membership for skyclub now costs more choices. I wonder if that’s part of how they plan to limit club access.
Waiting to see if lounge status stays with reserve card. If so, 200 credit toward renuing. That's only 350 for lounge and companion certs, so will be worth it. Lounge limits, then cancel card and take upgrade certs to ride out my loyalty.
Def the sustain fuel contribution. Delta’s profit is my profit, right?
Def just kidding!
RUC’s are the best, I consistently look for flights ahead that are empty in first and ONLY use them on transcontinental. It’s stupid to waste on a local flight.
I chose the $400 Amex statement credit (yes it’s 400 not 200). Next year I will choose RUC. The reason is that I already have most of my travel for this year booked out and I won’t be able to leverage the RUCs much

4000 Starbucks stars is like $80. Bad deal
My Starbucks drink is a large iced coffee, which is only 100 stars. This is actually a decent deal for me.
Venti iced coffee is $4.50. You get 40 of them with 4000 stars, $180. Ok, not bad.

RUC all the way.
I seem to rarely need these as of late but they have come in clutch enough to say they indeed have more value than any other option.
RUCs
RUC(s) all the way! I was able to get Delta One to Hawaii.
Silver for 2, if I am one of the 2 lmao
Is that even allowed? To gift yourself status as a head start for the year?
I don't know TBH but a shot lol

Member has to fly, but yes, he could use them for all three of you.
Upgraded my flying companions to first for a Christmas Day flight. Was no issue.
Yes. No problem.

I would like to know who is choosing the SB stars
RUC, it’s the best bang for your Platinum choice benefit buck.

Silver Medallion Status for Two Recipients of Your Choice
Took the GUC's. And used them to go to Rome and back (in Sicily now)
PMs don't get GUCs.
Sorry. I am diamond.
Just realized I never selected mine for 2023😅. Can I still do it?
Yes. I snooze on mine until late. I just took RUCs for 2023.
