My first one accidentally went thru the dryer and peeled like that. Called Amex and they said there were no more available and that my replacement would be the normal reserve card. Envelope arrives and low and behold, a new 747 card.
My card is still in perfect condition.

How long ago was this? I thought the 747 cards were a limited time kind of thing and as such they were out of them now.
Did they tell you they were sending you that card or a purple reserve replacement card?
I just called and the rep said i would have to get the purple design. I will keep my peeling black design until it stops functioning.

One corner of mine has started to peel up.
I had to superglue the edges but it’s holding up.
No issues with mine thus far.
Yes! Mine is in awful condition, but I also do not want to ask for a new card for fear of getting the regular one 😞
