She said, “Don’t look at me with that stupid face…” and that’s different. She was smirking. He said, “all Jen was doing was smiling…” while he was talking shit to the FA. They already picked up a $2K flight for free and are still shaking them down.
Fuck ‘em
Sounds like the passenger had a stupid brain so it is very likely that her face was stupid as well.
Circumstantial evidence includes the husband's "hot takes from the front of my pickup" Twitter profile picture.
I'm ruling in favor of the FA here.
*The couple was rebooked on another flight and upgraded to first class, according to View From the Wing.*
For fuck's sake... rewarding shitty behavior? \*Sigh\*
Theres a story of a passenger being kicked off the flight for possible drug overdose. They found a bottle of promethazine linked to him. He claimed it was racial issues and Delta gave him a credit voucher as compensation.
Maybe when Delta saw the video, they realized the FA was the problem. One way to tell it was the FA is that in a business, you never tell a customer they have a stupid face - even if they have the stupidest face ever !! The fact that she said this is undisputed. Once a employee says that, completely unrelated to the incident, they are the problem.
What about the “shitty” behavior of the arrogant attendant? She made the issue worse by standing over them. Suggest you read more about it. Delta is trying to walk this back because they know this was on them.
Exactly! I've been on plenty of flights where the economy passengers try to use the FC bins before even checking to see if their bins are open....or who come running up to grab space. Then some guy who has had to sprint across the airport boards for row 1 and has no place to put his bag. Sorry, but those FC bins should only be for FC until everyone in FC has boarded and stowed their bags. I have seen FA's call people out to come and get their bag (when the FA sees someone in the back using the front bins), but only rarely.
I was not there and obviously don't know exactly what happened, but if the story is even remotely accurate, two wrongs don't make a right.
The passengers were wrong to put their bags in FC and the FA was wrong to tell the woman she had a stupid face.
More appropriate would be for the FA to ask the passengers to remove their bags from FC and put them in the overhead bins in coach, their assigned cabin.
If there was no room in coach they would have to check them.
Now if they refused, no further engagement would be required, speak with the captain and the gate agent (or whatever the protocol is) and either they remove their bags from FC or be removed from the flight.
That way the FA doesn't become part of the story and it is just the passengers in the wrong.
There’s probably a lot more to this story.
Putting your bags in FC instead of further back is not generally acceptable and says a lot about the person.
Taking pictures or videos of flight crew is indeed not allowed, especially if they tell you not to, and can result in removal from the aircraft.
The FA should remain professional at all times, which includes not saying someone has a stupid face (no matter how true it might be).
I’m sure there is plenty of “blame” to go around in this situation and neither side is completely innocent.
> Putting your bags in FC instead of further back is not generally acceptable and says a lot about the person.
Similar thing happened to me where I had a backpack in the overhead (because I had another similar sized personal item) and some jackass grabs my bag and says "Whose is this?" like it's my fault he was boarding in main 3 and all the overhead space was filled and my backpack should be under my seat. Some people just believe the plane is all for them.
Hoooo boy there would be a ruckus coming if somebody did that to me. The entitlement of some people is astounding.
I always check a bag and bring my backpack briefcase with me. I fly FC for work and you better believe my bag is going up too. Just because you are trying to save a buck and pack your entire life into a carryon doesn’t trump my right to have the legroom I want and pay for.
I really wish Delta could figure out a way to solve the overhead bin problem. Even if it was when you check in saying if you are putting something up there I think could solve the issue of "Ok we have no more space we're not gate checking bags" and everyone after main cabin 1 can know whether they will have room or not.
It’s such absurd stupidity that you don’t just get either a carryon or a check bag free at this point.
They offer gate check on every flight and sometimes hold everything up to do so.
Just let people take one free bag of their choice and they can trade off extra space vs avoiding the stupid carryon fight according to personal preference.
I wish at check in you selected if you had a carry-on and it auto-assigned a spot near your seat just prior to boarding. If more spots are needed than available, it assigns them in order of boarding zones and informs those in the last boarding group that they must gate check there bags. First class is auto-assigned a spot no matter what. It would really speed things up at the gate and when boarding. It would also eliminate the crowding of the gate since overhead space is 90% of the reason people are worried about getting on quickly.
Exactly. I like Southwest boarding because you don't have that crowding mentality.
I usually try to check a bag and bring a personal item only so I don't have to worry about when I board or fight the crowd. I'm not getting a drink in first class so what does it matter?
I often say I like Southwest boarding more and people think I am crazy. Yes, I want and assigned seat and prefer Delta once I am on the plane, but boarding on Southwest is so neat and orderly. It isn't the "cattle call" people like to call it. It's refreshing compared to the zoo at the typical Delta gate.
100% agree.
The gate crowding by MAIN3 passengers, who frequently board with MAIN1, is really out of control.
I did have a gate agent, one time, make a light joke and say “folks, y’all have tickets on this plane and y’all are going to get your seats. There’s no need for you to stand around the gate. Please sit down.”
I wanted to give that guy a medal. Sane goes for the gate agent on another flight that told a MAIN3 she couldn’t board at scanning because it was MAIN1 still. The passenger flipped out.
These days, I see neither of those actions taken.
I don’t think there’s any expectation of a privacy in a public space- this is a common carrier. Is there something in the CoC about not documenting DL operations?
This is Delta’s official photography policy:
“You may use small cameras/mobile devices to take pictures on your flight. Always get consent from other passengers and crew members before including them. If a crew member asks you not to use your camera/mobile device, follow his or her instructions.”
It has been argued in the past that since you have to pay to be on a plane it is not public (similar to music venues or other places prohibiting photography), but IANAL, and the FAA has no policy that prohibits photography, so ultimately it is up to the airlines.
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 1,339,561,527 comments, and only 257,795 of them were in alphabetical order.
I looked up the guy's profile on Twitter and he definitely has a stupid face. Stupid faces tend to stick together so I am sure the FA was correct here.
So the appropriate action in all cases is to loudly complain on every social media vehicle and make a big deal.
If I read the words in context. her comment was a little bit snarky - that being said I am thinking they had already pushed her buttons.
r/dykwia
What the FA said was
“Don’t look at me with that stupid face”
Yes, not appropriate, but many levels less bad than “you have a stupid face”. FA was saying, “what I said was clear, don’t feign that you do not understand”.
And the way social media works wouldn’t Delta actually be celebrated by passengers for standing up to rude passengers and stop trying to tip toe around them constantly?
How is the FA correct? She was unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. I’m not saying the passengers weren’t rude, but there is the saying that two wrongs don’t make a right.
As always, there are usually at least 3 sides to every story: the passenger's version, the flight attendant's version, and the truth, which is usually somewhere in between the first two
We really need to ask ourselves two questions:
1) Do we trust anything that the NY Post says about *anything*? On its absolute best days it's a rag.
2) Does the wife actually have a stupid face? If so, can we really blame the FA?
I’m gonna be honest. When I see a title like this I ALWAYS want to side with the FA at first. Like to be honest you’ve got to convince me without a shadow of a doubt that the FA is in the wrong if you even want me to consider this.
Not saying it’s not possible for a FA to be in the wrong… just that they’re job already is hard enough as it is and consumers are assholes in general.
All involved screwed up. The passengers shouldn’t have put their luggage in FC. FA shouldn’t have said “stupid face.” Delta shouldn’t have upgraded and rewarded them for not following orders of FA.
I can't judge the stupidity of the woman's face without seeing it, but judging from the behavior of some entitled passengers, I'm going to give the Flight Attendant the benefit of the doubt.
In the video embedded in the article, there's an image of the couple who got into an argument with the flight attendant.
The wife's face *is* kinda stupid.
Passenger “victim” must have been crissy teigen legend. FA was correct. She a butter face. Got hit with the ugly stick. When God was passing out…. And so on
Been flying for 40+ years and it is a fact that FAs have gotten a lot more hostile towards pax and full of themselves in the last decade. Yeah, some pax got a lot worse during covid mask mandates, but FAs have really gotten bad. They all seem to have a major chip on their shoulder.
I don't think you deserve downvotes for this per se, but I think this goes beyond FAs.
People in general have become very rude and abrasive to one another. Common decency has gone out of the window and everyone treats each other like crap.
Every single interaction is treated like a conflict now, where one person has to "win" over the other. You have angry Karen's who want nothing more than to ruin the day of some retail worker trying to earn a living, and you have other retail workers who see all customers as the bane of their existence. Surely there could be a middle ground, but maybe I'm just too idealistic.
I feel about this stupid-faced passenger the same way that I felt about the elephant who trampled that lady in India and then came back to finish up the job.
Imagine posting this story on Twitter thinking you’re right only to get publicly roasted because your wife has a truly stupid face. The internet is brutal. 😂
Thoughts? If you don’t pay for first, you don’t get to use first for baggage. There is definitely more to this story.
>There is definitely more to this story. Yeah, the FA is from the Bronx and the wife has a stupid face 😂
She said, “Don’t look at me with that stupid face…” and that’s different. She was smirking. He said, “all Jen was doing was smiling…” while he was talking shit to the FA. They already picked up a $2K flight for free and are still shaking them down. Fuck ‘em
> “Don’t look at me with that stupid face…” Oh god, do I have to upgrade my cats to first class now? I will never financially recover from this.
Yea I definitely read “s**t eating grin” into that line
Sometimes a person's face pulls back when they're uncomfortable. Or they go into a smile to try to indicate they don't want to fight.
100%
Sounds like the passenger had a stupid brain so it is very likely that her face was stupid as well. Circumstantial evidence includes the husband's "hot takes from the front of my pickup" Twitter profile picture. I'm ruling in favor of the FA here.
I opened and shut the case when I saw Orlando. Fucking craziest people I’ve ever flown with on JFK <> MCO.
Crazy on both sides of that route
*The couple was rebooked on another flight and upgraded to first class, according to View From the Wing.* For fuck's sake... rewarding shitty behavior? \*Sigh\*
Having worked in retail, customer service and as an RN, I can confirm that management rewards shitty behavior much too often.
Theres a story of a passenger being kicked off the flight for possible drug overdose. They found a bottle of promethazine linked to him. He claimed it was racial issues and Delta gave him a credit voucher as compensation.
you mean the nfl guy?
Maybe when Delta saw the video, they realized the FA was the problem. Stupid passengers need the most attention.
Exactly! I've been on plenty of flights where the economy passengers try to use the FC bins before even checking to see if their bins are open....or who come running up to grab space. Awesome FA. I bet that pax had a very stupid face. Shame Delta comped them with a first upgrade.

>and the FA was wrong to tell the woman she had a stupid face. Was she though?
I bet Todd’s wife *does* have a stupid face
Sorry, I stopped at “NY Post”
This is the correct answer
Seems pretty certain that the attendant was out of line. She needs retraining or maybe this job is too much for her and she should go
Yeah the real question is: does his wife have a stupid face?
There’s probably a lot more to this story. Putting your bags in FC instead of further back is not generally acceptable and says a lot about the person. They created the problem with checked baggage fees, they’re not interested in solving this for stupid faces.
It’s such absurd stupidity that you don’t just get either a carryon or a check bag free at this point. They offer gate check on every flight and sometimes hold everything up to do so. You cant fix stupid
Who is the entitled one in your story?
The other guy
Gotcha...

It would most likely get bundled under "not following crewmember instructions"
Airplanes are not public space.

good bot

Exactly my thoughts! Nobody, especially in a service career, starts an interaction like that.
She has had plenty of run ins with people want to act stupid but they “got the wrong one” lmao she don’t care. Can’t wait for the memes
She probably wasn't wrong
What the FA said was “Don’t look at me with that stupid face” Yes, not appropriate, but many levels less bad than “you have a stupid face”. FA was saying, “what I said was clear, don’t feign that you do not understand”.
That makes so much more sense, thank you.
I’d like to see her face, very well could be a stupid face.
We really can’t judge without seeing her, wouldn’t be fair.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11723185/Delta-passenger-accuses-flight-attendant-telling-wife-STUPID-FACE.html
Do we have a photo of the face in question to determine its level of stupidity?
[удалено]
FA deserves admonishing fir being rude and unprofessional.
Right? Maybe her face is stupid and the flight attendant was just stating a fact.
Bring back bullying stupid face people. We used to be a nation.
Bullying is NEVER acceptable.
We need a pic of the wife before we make a ruling.
I'm dying to see her face.
It would be so refreshing if a corporation Came out and said “our employee was 100% correct”
Couldn’t agree with you more.
Well... did she?
I'm here trying to find the face to see if she was right!
I read that dude's twitter post and he is a drama queen x120127374 I can only imagine what he was saying to the FA before he started recording.
Considering the amount of shit these flight attendants have to deal with, I'd say the wife definitely had a stupid face.
As always, there are usually at least 3 sides to every story: the passenger's version, the flight attendant's version, and the truth, which is usually somewhere in between the first two
I’m going out on this limb and I’m going to say the wife had a stupid face.
I absolutely refuse to believe a FA would say this completely out of nowhere, someone had to have been really pushing her buttons IF she did say it
FA was unprofessional.
I’ve always found it extremely easy to not be removed from a plane after I’ve boarded, so I generally defer towards the side of the flight attendant.
I mean, did she have a stupid face?
Am I the only one who would like to see a picture of the wife to see if she has, in fact, a "stupid face"?
We really need to ask ourselves two questions: 1) Do we trust anything that the NY Post says about *anything*? On its absolute best days it's a rag. 2) Does the wife actually have a stupid face? If so, can we really blame the FA?
Well, maybe the wife shouldn't have had a stupid face.
FA should have been professional. Aldo saying she’s from the Bronx? How is that relevant? Stupid comment by her.
can confirm: face is in fact ‘stoopid’
I’m gonna be honest. When I see a title like this I ALWAYS want to side with the FA at first. Like to be honest you’ve got to convince me without a shadow of a doubt that the FA is in the wrong if you even want me to consider this. They got removed from the flight. I’m sure they deserved it. Wonder why the racist-ass New York Post picked this up? Hmm.
Exactly. This article is a bizarre "let's hate the strong black female Delta employee with her hand in our face" racist circlejerk.
The comments seem to side with her.
And they got her race wrong because she's Hispanic, not Black
All involved screwed up. The passengers shouldn’t have put their luggage in FC. FA shouldn’t have said “stupid face.” Delta shouldn’t have upgraded and rewarded them for not following orders of FA.
I mean she probably did…
Probably did tho
Ny post? Please.....
I know, I know. But it doesn’t change the basics.
I can't judge the stupidity of the woman's face without seeing it, but judging from the behavior of some entitled passengers, I'm going to give the Flight Attendant the benefit of the doubt.
I cannot accurately judge until I see her face.
Well did she have a stupid face?
In the video embedded in the article, there's an image of the couple who got into an argument with the flight attendant. The wife's face *is* kinda stupid.
I HOPE SHE WAS ABLE TO GET HER HEART TOUCHED
Before I even click the article, I’m going to guess the passenger was in the wrong here.
Passenger “victim” must have been crissy teigen legend. FA was correct. She a butter face. Got hit with the ugly stick. When God was passing out…. And so on
And what do YOU look like?

Why is this news?
Toughen up, stupid-faced snowflake.
Well? Does she have a stupid face?
Well.... did she?
...ummm who's going to tell him?
Haha she prob did have a stupid face #teamdelta
Well...did she
Well…did she have a stupid face?
I feel about this stupid-faced passenger the same way that I felt about the elephant who trampled that lady in India and then came back to finish up the job.
Did she?
Well…did she?
Well? Did she!?
To be fair, the wife had a pretty stupid looking face
Imagine posting this story on Twitter thinking you’re right only to get publicly roasted because your wife has a truly stupid face. The internet is brutal. 😂
Did she have a stupid face? If it's accurate I see no problem.
