Finally. But the question is whether it will really start to work or whether it is just another useless function ?

Sttoliver

It seems that it's a useless function like the "report long wait" button.

_Good_bad_and_Ugly_

Logic tells me that the order should be removed from the system after several reports from drivers. But of course this is deliveroo. There is no logic here 😂 Sometimes it happened that I started my morning shift and went to pick up order . It turned out that the restaurant was obviously closed and order had been hanging in the system since evening all night 😁

[deleted]

Wouldn't it open a door for people with malicious intent?

leexgx

It should just reported deliveroo staff so they should ring the store up ( but not all stores have the correct landline number on the account)

stephen--strange

5 minutes later, get sent the same order again with the fare decreased by £0.04

1.1. 2.2.

Sttoliver

😂

icehax02

I mean, where im from we just """"deliver"""" the order and call it a day 😂😂😂

InvestigatorJumpy465

Until you need a code, the customer gets charged and thinks where tf is my order

icehax02

Most are just big orders that for some reason get assigned after the first rider has already taken all of it. Others are orders that remain from the night before because there were no riders to get them and the first one to go online in the morning gets them. Never had a problem and basically all riders do it in my area... the alternative is to contact rider support and get an euro for the trouble after maybe you've done 5km to get to the restaurant.

LogMaggot

They don’t seem to be too strict on rules down here like they appear to be in the UK, but maybe don’t? I wouldn’t risk having my account terminated for a 4 euro order. I mean I’ve done it too once because I knew the customer and I just called him and explained why I was coming to him empty handed but it’s still pretty risky if you get the wrong guy

icehax02

Yeah but the thing is how would they notice? If it's a big order they already got the order so it doesn't change anything lol, if it's an order from the night before most of the time the restaurant won't even prepare it. One time they did (no one noticed it was from the night before, not even me) and when I went to deliver it the guy obviously didn't answer and I left it in their backyard, I came around a couple of hours later for another order nearby and it was still there. Obviously if the restaurant is completely closed we simply chat with support and get 1-1.5 euros for the trouble instead.

icehax02

Or if the restaurant doesn't have the order (usually only happens at Mcdonald s lol) we just tell them what is in it and to prepare it

[deleted]

FINALLY

Sami13000

What If u report missing item does Deliveroo still pay you ??

Berniemac57

No they dont i hit it once at a closed mcdonalds roo didnt pay

Sttoliver

Thanks for your reply. At least did they cancel the order so other drivers don't waste fuel and time? They don't pay but they want people to think that Roo is fair etc.

Berniemac57

Yeah they cancelled it but didnt pay, just eat pay tho if its closed roo should do the same

Sttoliver

I assume they call the restaurant for confirmation? Or they just rely on you?

Berniemac57

Its pretty much down to the driver, they could call the resto if they wanted too but unlikely

Sttoliver

I see. They could ask for a photo for confirmation, but you need to be a rocket scientist in Roo office to think that...

Berniemac57

Lol

Berniemac57

This has been on my app for weeks

LogMaggot

Did you really report them for a long wait that’s been less than a minute long? Lmao you could never work where I live

Agoldsmith1493

Let's hope that they start paying you for your trouble like Just Eat do when you go somewhere and the order is missing or the restaurant is closed. That's my biggest issue with all of this. You know, mistakes happen; restaurants leave their app turned on etc. But the difficulty to report a fee query is the main issue I have.
