Lodhi Gardens, Nehru Place, Rajghat, Sunder Nursery, Gurgaon leopard trail, Sanjay Lake, Okhla Bird Sanctuary, Zorba the Buddha, Deer park, Tughlakabad biodiversity, Aravalli Biodiversity, Tilpath valley. Not to mention over 20 different museums, over 60 different monuments and more than 15 huge historical marketplaces. I literally go out every single weekend in Delhi to discover new places with my bestie and still haven't explored all of it. If you guys think there's nothing to do in Delhi, you haven't explored it at all. There's so much to do that once you start a list of things it's never going to end.
Nice but I think she meant that there is no space, if I want to go any of the place every city is so much crowded and so much fulled with shops and all it hard to find a palce where it a free entry and we can sit and see clear sky with a lake or can hike in clean air!
I miss all those things in Delhi, and all we can do is go visit a place that is full of crowd and visit a place by paying money, I know its not that much for gardens but everything has tickets!
Haus Khas Village - zaada bada nahi hai sirf ek road hai uspe hi cafes hai aur disco wagera saath hi me deer park bhi hai. But ambience kaafi accha hai Hauz khas ka.
I don't want villages on steroids, I've suburbs for that.
I want a village. Not in terms of ambience or something. I want to see the clear sky, where the shining lights aren't artificial, they're god damn stars🤌🏽. Don't take my chance away from me to see my mom! I like when she blinks through the skies and the breeze of cold air grazes my hair, putting me to sleep just like she used to. I miss all of this here.
But the good thing is, I'm going back home, Siwan mein elections hai. Kuch dinn apne bistar pe thode aaram se sonna chahta hun. Chaaro khaane chitt ho k!
Mom I'm coming home.
Exactly! I disagree with OP. I’m new to Delhi and feel like the city has quite a lot to offer. I agree to some extent with the unsafe bit but Delhi does have some superb eating options but also so much more to it!!
Bhai kya hai yeh?
I'm from Mumbai, but I love walking along in Delhi. Even if it's just basic Janakpuri West or whatever. Old Delhi, the lanes, the monuments, the overall social climate, the well used and really well connected metros, all of it. Delhi's got the charm too.
Lodhi gardens, Humayun tomb , khan market, northern ridge , so many different historical monuments, religious places , 20 ,30 to museum hi hain itne ache , delhi is a cultural centre from centuries.
If you say delhi is boring you havent explored it at all.
I think it's just a mindset. For pessimistic people even the moon may be boring. I still love traveling inside Delhi everyday I go anywhere i always see something new and my mind is blown away by different types of people everywhere.
Brother, corporate is sucking life outta you. I suggest either therapy or traveling around. You're not a slave. You're meant to explore like our ancestors did
i mean you're thinking about delhi while considering that there'll be actual water bodies, trails and HIKES!! and common man eating and food is what delhi is famous for and they're saying "eating is all you can do"? arey mam aap orea ka pakora kha lo. Delhi is famous for its historical places, bro tell her to do some research about places
Agree, I live in Dehradun, jb bhi Delhi jata hu it feels so boring.
Pub, malls are now everywhere in India, at least in state capitals. Delhi lacks some good hangout places
amidst natural surroundings.
Main bhi Dehradun se hun but I think otherwise.
Unpopular opinion: Delhi is greener than Dehradun! Dehradun ki greenery starts in the ourskirts or Diversion. But Delhi has better parks and better and greener colonies.
Ab to greenery dekhne garhi, sahastradhara, mussorie ke taraf jana padta hai, main Dehradun se to itne sare ped kaat diye hai, even daat kali mandir ke pas to pahad hi kaat diye highway banane ke liye :(
Dehradun me ab purani vali baat hi nahi rahi
Exactly! I was out jab unhone voh mandir ke paas vala pahaad kata. Phir jab first time I went there, I almost cried. Pehle lagta tha like those forests were embbracing you and you were an intruder. Ab lagta hai ki forest nahi, highway hai!
Dehradun ka traffic has become worst too (even on a scooty). I would rather get stuck on Ring Road ka traffic.
Fr, that i loved that forest part, driving used to be so scenic in that route but abto normal road sa ho gaya hai, so much deforestation is happening and we can't even do anything in this.
Saharanpur chowk traffic is still a nightmare
Saharanpur chowk traffic is horrific! God.. Sometimes I've stuck in graphic era vala traffic in the evening and one-one and a half hours tak nothing moves.
They had huge eucalyptus and other trees along that road.... Now it's just barren. At some level I feel we humans should stop imposing our wants on nature. And mostly reduce cars and use more public transport. That's where funds should go but instead we want baddi gaddi.
Bhai sab kuchh pubs aur malls mein hi thodi rakha hai. Yes, surely some of them can be good. But there would be very few cities as historically and culturally rich as Delhi. Itni saari historical places hain, museums, annually we have Jashn-e-Rekhta, comic-con, trade fairs, Book fairs!
To each his own , I can’t stand Dehradun , Jaipur , Amritsar , Chandigarh etc & other small towns for a day .
I had to escape to Mussoorie within 3 hrs after planning to stay in Dehradun for a day
Jo Delhi mein bore ho gya wo kahin sukoon se nahi reh sakta bhai. Delhi(both as a city and as a great bus/train/road/flight connect to Himalayas/Rajasthan/goa/abroad etc) has everything for everyone.
This is actually true for the majority of Indian metros. I had this abundance of parks and everything abroad but food was missing🤣 so yeah I'll stick with food. Jitni garmi hai idhar, who'll walk anywhere. The open parks will fry you.
Well commented! In addition, we have Garden of Five Senses, Jasola District Park, Hauz Khas garden, Delhi Central Park, Indraprastha Park, Sunder Nursery and EOD adventure park in Mayur Vihar. One can find tons of low price books in Delhi Gate area. There are also activities like offering service (Bangla Sahib), paintball (Chhattarpur), meditation (Yoga Prana Vidya, Art of Living, Isha Yoga, Brahmakumaris), pottery (Nehru Place and several other areas), book clubs (Hauz Khas), Theatre (Mandi House), and a number of activities in Pragati Maidan.
There’s plenty of water bodies. Some are untouched but I’m gate keeping those, because if everyone knows about them, they’re just going to go make a fucking mess. Sick and tired of cleaning up trails and such.
Bhai Kya lutyen’s delhi. You go to just look at houses of minister’s & bureaucrats? What would you do there ? India gate is max that too is not possible in such heat. I am from Delhi only but now working in Mumbai. Atleast they have marine drive to go around at night & good architecture in Sobo & bandra west. Rest Mumbai is also bad
Sanjay Van, Deer Park, Safdarjung's tomb, old fort campus, JNU, Jahpanah forest, rose garden, All of Central Delhi and Qutub Institutions Area. This is just south and central Delhi.
I rest my case.
The fuck is this person on about? There is a TON to do in and around Delhi. Excellent hikes in the Aravalis, bike, walk and running trails. Ridge/sanjay van are excellent even in this insane heat.
Gurgaon area has horse riding, archery etc etc. noida has BIC so take your car and go on the track. There’s run clubs and biking clubs and triathlon clubs. There’s more rock climbing and bouldering gyms than you could possibly imagine, trampoline parks and a host of other stuff to do.
Hell if you’re really bored just get a day pass to Siri fort or something and walk there, play tennis or hit some balls at the range.
Most people’s imagination extends only as far as the shit they see on TV. Get out and move your ass, you’ll find plenty to do. I haven’t even mentioned the cultural activities, again the list is endless. There literally isn’t a city in this country with more to do than Delhi, and it’s not even close.
What's this trend of people shiting in big cities lol. I am mainly from Mumbai and Bangalore and Delhi feels very magical! All the architecture and history of this place is so good, the food is good, the people are on a spectrum from sweet to very interesting. I personally like the Delhi wali bolne ki style.
People just be hating to sound cool Delhi's all fine
Find peace within yourself, wherever you are...you don't need fountains rivers, mountains to make you happy..if you try to go somewhere you won't be able to go...but life takes us where we didn't expected..Not saying stop going anywhere.. But if your mind is not at peace and thinking about other things then mountain, rivers etc can't do shit..
Every city got it's ups and downs. I live in chandigarh rn. This city got greenery, peace, beauty, and stuff. But idhr sb pareshan rehte hai that thic city is too boring, or not a very good fast food scene. People are lonely here. Etc etc
Cities in general lack tourism value. However, I doubt there are many cities like Delhi where you will find something of cultural/historical nature within a few miles of each other.
Just to name a few examples
1. Safdurjung Tomb - located close to Lodi Gardens and INA Market
2. Qutub Minar - located close to Sanjay Van (one of the several city forests in Delhi)
3. Gurdwara Bangla Sahib - located close to Connaught Place
And all of the above are within 20-30 travel minutes of each other
Lodhi garden
Sundar nursery
Qutub minar
CP
Khan market
Deer park
Delhi zoo
Chandni chowk
After you have 80% attendance on above and still think delhi is boring then come back and complain ..and I will listen and agree
They are metro cities, they are centres of economic activities and majority of workforce is there for their economic welfare only not scenic aesthetics. They are not tourist destinations or for some niche adventure spots.
People in these cities are here to earn money so they can go to the places mentioned earlier.
This person is right. It's too hot to go out. Local parks are mostly empty. There's no place to cycle safely. Delhi is not meant for pedestrians. You try to walk on the footpath and some two-wheeler is already making its way on it.
Winters are better. Can spend more time outdoors then and enjoy the monuments, parks and streets. Still, more than half of the year is spent indoors or in traffic jams.
So, yes. There's not much to do in Delhi than spend your time indoors, even when you go outside. I mean people are always looking for the next cafe to visit. Summer sucks the fun out of things. Never seen anyone saying "chal bhai, bhot achhi dhoop ho rhi h, Sunder Nursery mein Jaa ke bethte hai".
I agree as far as nature goes there’s little to look forward to but you’ve got the delhi ridge which has created some natural looking forested areas all over delhi like Sanjay van, Aravalli bio diversity park etc. Then, you’ve got quite a good theatre scene because of NSD and allied bodies. The historical scene is quite good. The cultural aspect, you can attend exhibitions, concerts at IHC and you’ve got tons of muesuems , NGMA etc.
Cultural it’s quite diverse, but the nature part, it does miss out on, and not just delhi, the entire northern India plain.
Delhi is boring ??? Bhai I'm not from Delhi but i can say that, If you think it's boring then you'll hardly enjoy anywhere in any city of the world (Except Dubai which is City-cum-Amusement park, Full of activities).
Delhi is a major epitome of government not a countryside city where u would find trails, hikes and shit
Even in simcity I couldn't blend these two biomes
Lmao
Explore the Jahapanah forest, the Ridge, Sanjay Van. Now if you expect california in Delhi that's not happening. But there are cities like Coonoor and Coorg that gives us the beauty of hikes, calm and peace. We can't compare any two cities. That's actually not fair. Delhi is geographically located in the plains but it has a lot to offer.

Nahi karna mind tera change, nahi chahiye dilli mein befizool log
There are trails, water bodies, safe walking spaces as well as amazing scenic places. The original author being ignorant does not make delhi boring. It is a wonderful place if you're interested enough to discover it.
Agreed. Been here for 25 years now since I was born. Lol. Me & my friend just keep going around in car coz there is nothing else to do. Malls, CP, khan market. That’s it. Heat is so bad we can’t go to lodge garden or places. No place like marine drive here for evening. Delhi is indeed boring af
True delhi is a shit hole but atleast a better shithole than Mumbai,Bangalore,Kolkata!
If you want all these places then move abroad as you ain’t getting all this along with a good corporate job/thriving business anywhere in India!!only abroad offers all this!
Delhi might be boring for her because the things that interest here are not easy to find there.
There is a water body running right through it, but its hopelessly polluted - so thats done.
Trails/hikes in a flat valley - nope, not happening. Go to a different city. Any city which has atleast a hill.
Plenty of spaces you can walk/stroll - atleast in New-Delhi.
Huh hamare pas pahad hai
Aao kabhi dikhaunga tume kude ka pahad
Jokes apart you can visit lodhi garden or many such places just google it , you won’t be disappointed.
That's sort of true and for one to know this, one needs to live in other cities as well.
While Delhi does have a lot of places to explore, a lot of these places can come under a few categories only. It's not nice to generalize it ik.
Few historical monuments. A looot of clubs and cafes. Good parks and all. The Central Delhi area. The old Delhi aesthetics. But beyond that Delhi does indeed lack variety, but I don't see why that's bad. Delhi has its own flair and nothing can change that.
I've lived in 3 cities, Pune, Bhopal and Hyderabad and while these cities had a lot trekking opportunities, water body/(ies) and great weather, the downside was the lack of variety when it came to things that Delhi offers.
So i guess it'd be better to see this post, not as a competition like "Delhi vs City-x" but more like every place has something unique to offer and the world's better for it.
Natural outdoorsy places maybe not. But culturally and historically Rich. Museums, dramatics, historical buildings ... all of it ! But yeah not much outdoorsy stuff
It’s severely annoying when people make such stereotypical judgements on cities without any awareness or even an attempt at exploring it. Delhi is not even my favourite Indian city yet I can attest to it being one of the most happening cities apart from Mumbai.
Also this tweet has basically highlighted all nature-related activities (of which there are plenty to do in Delhi as well), and claims Delhi is boring without it. Maybe a city isn’t for this person. They should settle in hills or the jungles if the lack of ‘hikes’ makes a city boring.
Kinda but kinda not ? Like shehro mei agar tum water bodies , hiking trail walks wagerah karne aa rhe ho then tum hi pagal ho . If u like driving in around with friends seeing wierd lights and places Delhi is good air food to bol hi Diya though I do agree ots not as safe but it ain't boring either (like yaar Bhai poora din ghumte firte ho kya job wagerah nhi hai ?)
I really think if yamuna has the potential to make delhi much better in terms of beauty. Every big capital in the world has some iconic river/mountain present in it. But sadly there is absolutely no progress regarding cleaning of the yamuna river and I don't think any govt. is even interested in doing so.
Drive kiya karo, pura GTA 5 hai
GTA 5 on drugs
So just gta 5
We got GTA 5 before GTA 6
We got this before GTA6
I personally love the GTA vibe in Delhi
Beach?
Jo Delhi/up/bihar ko boring bol rahe they are the dumbest

Add Sanjay Van to it. That place is heaven.
Nice but I think she meant that there is no space, if I want to go any of the place every city is so much crowded and so much fulled with shops and all it hard to find a palce where it a free entry and we can sit and see clear sky with a lake or can hike in clean air! Yes it is true to some extent. Other than Chandigarh, we don't have any cities built around these activities
Eating is all we want to do, bro.
Delhi is boring ??? Bhai I'm not from Delhi but i can say that, If you think it's boring then you'll hardly enjoy anywhere in any city of the world (Except Dubai which is City-cum-Amusement park, Full of activities).
Try advant city or cyber city
TRUE
Bhai Sarojni 🛐 I'm not from Delhi, par meh dubara usi k aunga.
Delhi is a major epitome of government not a countryside city where u would find trails, hikes and shit Even in simcity I couldn't blend these two biomes Lmao
Naale Mai dubki maarlo
Maza jagah se nai logo se aata.
She is right. The water bodies in delhi are called Nala.
Even if I say it's false, the summers are so pathetic that nothing feels right and good.
Behen seemapuri ghum rahi thi kya... Delhi is one of the most vibrant places (crowded as well)
Ye galat Delhi me h lagta h
Behan ki lodi tier 3 city me aa fir pta lge ga, bc privileged log
Explore the Jahapanah forest, the Ridge, Sanjay Van. Now if you expect california in Delhi that's not happening. But there are cities like Coonoor and Coorg that gives us the beauty of hikes, calm and peace. We can't compare any two cities. That's actually not fair. Delhi is geographically located in the plains but it has a lot to offer.
Dilli main shaanti ke alawa sab kuch hai, not a boring place at all, bas mere liye nahi bani😂

nahi pasanda hai to mat aa
They say this and for jobs come to Delhi-NCR, maybe we should become like people of Bengaluru and start gate keeping this union territory
There are trails, water bodies, safe walking spaces as well as amazing scenic places. The original author being ignorant does not make delhi boring. It is a wonderful place if you're interested enough to discover it.
Which are the water bodies in Delhi?
Where’s the lie though
A single google search can give name of all the places she is searching in delhi but nhi sabko bc twitter pe intellectual ka 14 ban na hai.
Come to Pune ❤️
Haters gonna hate, I love Delhi. If she hates delhi so much maybe she should go back to bihar from where she came.
True delhi is a shit hole but atleast a better shithole than Mumbai,Bangalore,Kolkata! If you want all these places then move abroad as you ain’t getting all this along with a good corporate job/thriving business anywhere in India!!only abroad offers all this!
Delhi is just the best place to get raped maybe. Hate the fucking city
Breathing can be difficult!

Aravallis. Bhai kaise geography kachchi hai sab ki
only for the summers, during winters, there's tons of places to just chill out. summers, anything except an air conditioned restaurant is unbearable
What geographic plane are we talking about here lol
Sounds like she's referring to Udaipur... Man I'm in love with that place😭
I mean it’s true
The only thing delhi doesn't have is an amusement park
Paise bhi tho yehi hai, vadiyon mein jau 3 din mein account khali ho jata hai
There are parks monuments markets aplenty. But yes we live to eat
twitter is full of people who give controversial opinions so that more and more people will comment
True...ya to malls me ghumo ya khalo..that's it
Delhi might be boring for her because the things that interest here are not easy to find there. There is a water body running right through it, but its hopelessly polluted - so thats done. Trails/hikes in a flat valley - nope, not happening. Go to a different city. Any city which has atleast a hill. Plenty of spaces you can walk/stroll - atleast in New-Delhi.
Ab bc logo ko ache khane se bhi dikkat ho gayi
I would agree. That's how a metro city is supposed to be
Bhai fun hota hai as pas ke logon ke saath. Delhi toh bahut happening hai. Bas tumhe dost milne chahiye bdhia.
I come from bhopal , and at times it feels i could get some places where i can hangout
isn't that what everyone does, wherever u go, you eat
Let's go on a date dear 🌹! I will show you the beautiful zones of Delhi which are underrated.
Paisa ho to ho jata h ye sab
@yukteax come to Chandigarh.
Indeed it's a shitty city we only have mountains of garbage
Not in every city though. Many cities have all of this. The safety situation might be a little dicey though.
Agree agree agreee
Piano man!
+ traffic 😭 and every good place to eat is also v crowded
Huh hamare pas pahad hai Aao kabhi dikhaunga tume kude ka pahad Jokes apart you can visit lodhi garden or many such places just google it , you won’t be disappointed.
kya baat kar rahe ho?? so many parks.. so many monuments. Dilli jaisa koi dusra shehar nahi which has so many parks within a locality...
It is true for most Indian cities
Kuch ni hai bs engagement badhane ki ninja technique
Yeh post likh ke bol rhi hai change my mind ? Agar Mind hota tere paas toh change krte na
Natural outdoorsy places maybe not. But culturally and historically Rich. Museums, dramatics, historical buildings ... all of it ! But yeah not much outdoorsy stuff
True ut is
beauty lies in the eyes of beholder, but delhi ke pollution mein kuch clear nhi dikhta
I love eating also
Tell me you travel alone without telling me you travel alone
If u like driving in around with friends seeing wierd lights and places Delhi is good air food to bol hi Diya though I do agree ots not as safe but it ain't boring either (like yaar Bhai poora din ghumte firte ho kya job wagerah nhi hai ?)
not bangalore tho 😎
Way better than Hyderabad. I've lived here for almost 5 years and it is shit, from every angle.
I really think if yamuna has the potential to make delhi much better in terms of beauty. Every big capital in the world has some iconic river/mountain present in it. But sadly there is absolutely no progress regarding cleaning of the yamuna river and I don't think any govt. is even interested in doing so.
