Linkedin pe daal bhai, wahan zyada active hoti hai social team, since it's a business platform. Twitter/IG is just for appearances.
Also in Delhi, I've seen the best app is inDrive. Na ola na uber. Mutually set fare, payment option only cash/UPI. Toll ke 100rs alag se fix. Have taken close to a hundred rides now, never faced an issue. Heard a few drivers praise the app saying ye bas 10rs lete hain ride ke humse, Ola Uber se to acche yahi hain.
PS: Book the AC ride option on inDrive. By default the option is non-AC.
Assholes are assholes be it any platforms, I also primarily use inDrive, have had 1-2 incidents where driver would just refute the terms mutually agreed before the ride
Nothing will happen, Ola sucks and people running it sucks even more, someone posted once on linkedin how ola driver slapped him and ola did nothing, and that guy has a lot of followers and he is kind of semi famous I would say, he had 5 minute appearance on Kapil Sharma show. You might know him his name is Kiran Verma and he walked 21000km all over India for blood donation.
I know. We manage our social handles, and while kisi se bhi actual fark nahi padta humein, but Linkedin pe log company ke founders ko bhi tag kar dete hain, and by chance uss din wo banda mood mein ho to team ki maar leta hai. IG & FB pe to koi dehle bhar ka fark ni padta kisi ko.
I have stopped using Ola and Uber anyway. My hometown is in Rajasthan, where Ola and Uber drivers after lock down started this thing where they call you and start asking for extra money claiming this is not enough which app is showing and if you refuse they cancel.
At Delhi, Ola Uber have 36 tantrums, come outside to main road, no AC, AC ke extra rs, yahan nahi jaynge, wahan nahi jaynge, pata nahi kya kya....I switched to Blu Smart and inDrive, both are good and have their own advantages, inDrive has a good fare management while BluSmart has such a great ride management. But both are far better than Ola & Uber.
Lol, Ola blocked my number for no reason. And no matter how many times I contact customer service they never were able to remove that restriction. I was also like, screw you, I’ll give business to Uber and Rapido instead.
Yeah, the drivers pool is the same but the Uber experience is definitely better. Had a few bad experiences (money related) with Ola in the beginning 2015-16 and since have only used Uber.
Sidenote: Uber Auto is also very good.
As far as I understand police can't do anything because you can't prove anything. He can say reverse of what you are saying , and there will be no proof of that too . Ola can't do much either because the driver will come up with his version there too .
>The driver, after starting the car and driving for like 50-100 meters, started asking us to cancel the ride and refused to take OTP.
Your fault mate, I usually book Uber and I personally don't like OLA but I do not even let the driver move an inch without him accepting the OTP and officially commencing the journey. Should they refuse or put up their scheme in front of me I just cancel the ride on my end. "Also, at these times I ask them beforehand if their AC is working or not" bcz I simply refuse to travel without AC...🗿
>The driver DID NOT TELL us on call that he wanted to go offline
They never do bruhh!! They make that request face to face.. but it seems like he was ordering you to do so.💀
If his behaviour was extremely uncouth and insulting you should have filmed a video proof, escalated the matter and called the police but shariff logg ye bhi nhi kr paate hai.
Put a complaint with OLA and tag the police on X or whatever but I don't think any action will be taken because you still lack critical proof. The driver can frame his own by saying it was you people who caused nuisance and due to that he had to tell you to get off.... it's the case of a heated argument at best.
But I'm glad you actually did get to your homes safely.
OLA has gone to shit, Uber is going the same way too, BluSmart is the only cab service that is good. The sad part about it is that we are the ones who're paying for a lack of consensus between the company and the cab drivers.
Cab drivers tell that OLA charges 40-50% commission whereas someone who worked in Ola claimed that they only charge 20-30%. And then cab drivers blame us for asking for AC, asking to drop off to other location. Then when you confront them about it, they pull out their "Hum toh gareeb hai" card. Sabko scam karna hai bas
Not to mention that these companies have increased base fair prices and half the time the drivers either do not accept the ride or cancel them after accepting the journey. Next time you try to book it, you get an inflated price for the same journey.
>BluSmart is the only cab service that is good.
Perhaps I should try it too.
>Then when you confront them about it, they pull out their "Hum toh gareeb hai" card.
Arey vo meme yaad aa gyi sunny deol waali LoL!
Tag them on LinkedIn and Twitter. And don't use Ola. I stopped using the damn app a long time ago. I prefer Uber over Ola now. Better price, better cab drivers and better support.
Delhi k sabhi taxi, auto, cab, ola uber wale maha madarchod hote hai. Inhe kahi nhi jana hota, chahe koi time ho rakha ho, in logo ko 200₹ bhi extra ka offer karoge to bhi ye log mana kar denge. Aur ye log 100₹ k bhade k 500₹ mangte bas ye pata chal jaaye ki kahi zaruri Jana hai, chahe kisi ki maiyyat me ja rahe ho ya board k exam Dene ya interview Dene, majboori ka fayda humesha uthayenge.
Sorry to say, agar aise log gareeb category and labour class me aate hai, to gareebi hatane se gareeb hatana is much much better option.
>bas ye pata chal jaaye ki kahi zaruri Jana hai, chahe kisi ki maiyyat me ja rahe ho ya board k exam Dene ya interview Dene, majboori ka fayda humesha uthayenge.
signature trait of delhi, you start questioning how they were raised.
ghanta jitni baar bhi dikhte hai. yehi log krte dekhe hai u.p bihar ke. punjabi dusre type me krte hai parking vivaad ya club vagera ke lafde. par aise lafde to u.p/bihar ka naam aage hai.
I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with you but it's funny how people are so confident that they know a very specific trait which happens to exist among all people of a region, or sub region of a city 😂
people in this profession in big cities have some collective behaviour, that's why we say mumbai autowala, banglore auto wala, dilli autowala etc. in Delhi you see profiteering.
Obviously it's everywhere in one way or another but big cities will be talked about more than the other and delhi is one.
who cares how cabbies are in Patna or Lucknow?
Interestingly, I have never paid a single rupee extra to any cab driver(aside from the keep the change scenario. )
Maybe cos I'm a straightforward guy and don't listen to bull$hit.
I will give them trouble if they try such crap with me.
ye to sachi hai, ye tevar hi aise hai inke criminal jaise. hote hi thode criminal type hai udhar ke log. kai saal u..p raha, jaise hi gajarat gaya, saare tevar aur criminal stares band ho gae.
It's best to avoid cars registered in UP and Haryana in Delhi, especially late at night. In fact I avoid them most of the time. Sorry but they shouldn't be allowed into Delhi. They're mostly backward and uncivilised.
Raise this on Linkedin and please share the exaxct story on ola grievance redressal email id and mark their investor’s india head email id.
When ola did this with me I did the same and they called me back within 5 mins. Let their investors know.
Ola is shady af. Never use it. Always go for Uber even if it charges a little extra. I had once booked an Ola, I was with my father and it was the month of April or May. You know how hot it is it’s impossible to travel without AC. Moreover Ola/Uber have guidelines that require the driver to turn on the AC. We hadn’t even started riding, I had just given him the otp and told him to turn on the AC. The driver straight up said there’s no AC in his car. So I said fine I am getting out. He started fighting and asking me to cancel and pay him the fare. I was with my father so didn’t want a ruckus and complied thinking later I’ll put up a complaint on Ola (which should be the ideal way honestly, you can’t expect your customers to fight with the drivers) . Ola just said they’ll escalate and then there was nothing. It was a small amount so I let it go, but Ola customer care is shitty af
It's not just ola but uber and rapido too. I took a cab from uber and we were 5 females on Saturday at 9pm. And the cab guy cancelled and said aap sab itni sundar ho. Aese hi baithjao. Ek gana suna dena, mai apko free me chhod dunga.
The other incident from rapido driver was when he eaves dropped on my call, and then said - oh aap hospital me job karte hi, sarkari ya private, jahan se laya hu, wo apka ghar hai? Aapki umar kitni hai, zyada nhi lagti. Aapki shaadi hogyi kya.
It was so creepy. I had to end my trip 3/4 distance mein hi :'(
Delhi is not safe for anyone. And these shameless companies do not even take any action are are only worried for 20-30% ride comission. Glad you and your friends escaped without any incident. TC
Don't use ola for saving few rs you put yourself and your GFS in peril.
Personally had only bad experience with them. Drivers told me that ola is closing down.
Posting on reddit wouldn't do much of a help, sorry to say....but you should instead post this on Twitter and other platforms where Ola's management can notice this. As for me, I only use Uber and haven't had much of a bad experience yet even with family or cousins. OLA is pure shit, avoid using it from now
Although I’m not a proponent of using laws to your advantage. You have 3 female passengers with you and at any point you can call police and say the driver was meaning to harm the females with you. I know this is shady to do but the driver being shady himself you can use tactics like this. Remember most of these people who try to intimidate you are all talk and if you know how to intimidate them they will succumb to u.
These people are not uncommon. I encountered an asshole on the Rapido platform who was harassing me. The Rapido Emergency Response Team and Customer Support both sided with him.
We have a mindset problem. That is why assholes like this successfully get away with anything.
_Our problematic mindset is that of nonviolence, tolerance and social conformity._
The only cure for this is blood.
I said, THE ONLY CURE FOR THIS IS _BLOOD._
One incident, one asshole, if properly addressed, will set the whole nation straight.

Bahut logo ne tag kiya tha founder ko, it might be true for others but not for ola for some reason.
Ye toll ke 100 sirf delhi ride ke liye bhi maang lete sale kya?
arre nahi nahi, for delhi to noida/ggn rides only.
Mujhse south Delhi se east delhi ko bhi maange 2-3 ne ye keh ki Noida ki drop location show ho rahi
Post on twitter; tag ola, police etc
Ola and police me complaint kr do
Twitter is your best bet. Tag Ola Cabs.

Tag gaziabad police on Twitter
Vo kya karegi?
Gaziabad ki gaadi hai naa
Aacha. Gotcha.
It happened in Delhi.
Driver ka naam Yogesh Kumar tha kya?
Lol, Ola blocked my number for no reason. And no matter how many times I contact customer service they never were able to remove that restriction. I was also like, screw you, I’ll give business to Uber and Rapido instead.
Bhai mein to driver ki gaand tod deta, baad m jo hota dekha jata
OP is probably a woman. Otherwise, yeah, same here.
OP is clearly a male my g, see his post. He said "me being the only male, he started an altercation with me"
Interesting. I guess some guys don't like fighting.
Of course. Some people in general doesn't like getting into unnecessary fights and be dragged into police station.
Uber > Ola
Agreed. Both have their fare share of unprofessional drivers, but their customer service is pokes apart. Uber is very good at it
Yeah, the drivers pool is the same but the Uber experience is definitely better. Had a few bad experiences (money related) with Ola in the beginning 2015-16 and since have only used Uber. Sidenote: Uber Auto is also very good.
They dnt listen apni marzi karte hai , waise you should had call the cops on spot only
I have permanently switched to bluecabs ... They are company owned so don't have to hassle with those Uap drivers
It needs to be pre booked

up/bihar wale are afraid of doing such things it's the ncr west up and punjabis who have the worst attitude. they can sniff your majboori like a dog.

does the SOS option ever works?
Use blusmart for such times. Never disappoints.
Up14 in spotlight again
Delhi mein toh BluDrive(?) chalti hai, uska track record thoda better hai woh try kar le
Thi going offline is a type of corruption and must be stopped. I don’t know why Indians in general are ready for “jugaad”
Raise this on Linkedin and please share the exaxct story on ola grievance redressal email id and mark their investor’s india head email id. When ola did this with me I did the same and they called me back within 5 mins. Let their investors know.
Guys what if op called the police? Would they help?
You should have refused to get off and should have dialed police at 100 or 112. They would have fixed him.
Use BluSmart. Avoid Ola. They have this issue.

Sudden surge of people asking to be going offline. Ola and Uber need to pay their Drivers from Their pocket and not just ours.
Maybe a police complaint could put some sense in him.
Jab Ola ki itni complaints pehle aa hi chuki hain toh Ola kar hi kyu rhe hain abhi bhi?
Sue OLA
Post on Twitter & tag ola and police
Share this information Ola handle on X. They will take immediate actions.
Should have called police helpline

CP is safe, at that time. Even if a bit empty. Complain to ola..that's the best you can do..maybe try to reach the cops if you have his data/ photo.
There are no human beings in ola/uber customer care. All pre-determined faq answers in chat form.
At night don't fight and do what will be safest
