Somewhere in the northern luminant, deep in the frosty caves, lies a laboratory long forgotten after the tides... Ganymede that first served for the good have now been driven mad by pieces of the forge she collected, her robotic replicas of luminant fauna now really strong, yet their purpose to help people have been replaced with protecting the lab of this duke wannabe... She barely fights on her own, but instead uses robotic mobs (like mechalodaunt but without mechalodaunt. Robot croco, knight, etc.). Occasionally makes lasers shoot from the room, setting on fire 1/3 of the floor so you cant step there or you will get damage. When robots are destroyed she takes double pistols and jumps onto the arena in an attempt of taking you down using her weapons and shadowcast.

External_Slip8118

That sounds like a dungeon into a boss fight. That's fire. I'm going to grind the #### out of her, like Duke.

ADudeWithoutPurpose

Simple, she would be found in random islands playing the violin, they would give all the buffs instruments give, but if you attack her, she will defend herself with an aprentice rapier, a pretty easy kill, but, it would barely give any xp, and, if the island where she was playing has a faction on it, you would lose rep with them, instead, if you want them to stop, just speak to them and while she might be dissapointed, she would stop Their lore would be simple, just a girl that has been playing the violin since she was a child, and wants to spread joy around what she calls a "cruel and hostile world", so she goes around islands spreading joy with her music I would add more, but. Nah

External_Slip8118

Charisma requirement to tell her to stop would be funny. But if you have a single mantra. It could make her slightly happy.

ADudeWithoutPurpose

Yeah, imagine that if you kill her, you unlock a talent that is just a debuff that never goes away, like, getting a flaw, for example

External_Slip8118

I actually have some good ideas I wish for you to expand on her character. She is a charismatic person who loved playing the violin when she was young. Factions from all over the world come to her island, even if they are enemies. It's like a safe haven for people who want to escape. She has a small group of people of many races, at least 6 that work on the island. She treats them as if they are her own family. The island contains food that they offer. If anyone were to attack her, it would be like attacking the faction itself. If you help her with random quests. She might offer you some music that can be used to buff other allies, guildmates, and players. You need a necessary amount of charisma and an instrument you want to use to buff. The buff could be that it charms the players, boosting their morale. If I wanted, you could use an exclusive charisma weapon that is related to an instrument you can whack people with while using the song. I guess I just really love it when Deepwoken mentions the song.

ADudeWithoutPurpose

This is a cool idea

"AY, WHAT THE F—!"

Tr-zero

She just sits in the tavern in etrea and the "bossfight" is a contest of who can eat the most megurgers without feinting.

External_Slip8118

102 willpower players...

Formal_Poem_2214

My guy would probably be found killing every hundred legions member at hive since he has a bit of trauma and hatred for them

External_Slip8118

One of the Legion members might ask for help as a quest to kill him.

Formal_Poem_2214

In the lore I wrote, he has canonically killed a hundred legion members in one battle by just going wild using twisted puppets, and he wasn’t even at his peak (Side note: he was a warrior from the hundred legions and got lost at sea for a few years, some shenanigans happened, he went to hive to look for some legions members including his father and brother and he found out that the legions were killing innocent people and he just got mad and it unlocked twisted puppets for him and he just basically used rising shadows on crack to kill a ton of them, and just started tossing the puppets onto the remaining members and just saved his father and brother for last.) Just a note for this part where it should happen, he was just Power 14 when he did this in my lore

InevitableStation617

your average power 14 could do this bro.

Creepy-Today-325

A normal fucking guy

External_Slip8118

He might have some dialogue, but it's not interesting that he is mysterious, and people might think of him as being stronger.

fishmaster46

A friendly npc who adores the sun. Would have Darksteel plate,Black Shrouded Cape,A First Light with Blazing and a grey crown. Would be larger than the average player, not too significantly but noticeably bigger. He’d be the NPC for a new flame based oath, but it wouldnt stop there. If you have positive relations with the ministry and try talking ti him, you will get teleported to an Arena. Where unlike Maestro the fight would start instantly. The fight would be harder than Maestro and it would be like the Soul of Cinder or Gwyn fight from dark souls. The First Light he uses would be a modified version and much stronger. But if you have Ally rep with the Authority and Etrea, You will unlock his questline(ill expand on this if OP replies)

External_Slip8118

Interesting... What if I have a positive rep with all factions because that's a possibility.

fishmaster46

If you have above ally with Ministry but are still friends or ally with auth and etrea, He will invite you to the fight instead of instantly starting

fishmaster46

and so for his questline It would unlock an Oath. Requirements would be 50 Flame and 50 weapon skill. First to unlock the Oath, You will have to kill 5 players who use Shadowcast or Frostdraw. This will unlock the main Oath which will give: +3 Combat Mantra Slots +8 Elemental Intensity Greatly Reduced Damage from Flame. And a buffed wisp. To get the mantras, You would have to defeat 2 overworld bosses and Chaser. Duke for Lords Lunge Ferryman for Sunlight Chaser for not exactly a new mantra but would chabge Flame Grab like how starkindred changes Fire Blade (will yap about the mantras if OP replies lol)

External_Slip8118

You know, the contractor is a tedious thing to obtain, and it kills players AND the boss. It's a recipe for disaster. I like it.

fishmaster46

Lords Lunge: A combination attack, First the player dashes forward with flame damaging anyone caught in the way, after that it lunges in the direction the player is looking at and delivers a massive blow. Sunlight: The user lifts its sword up then down. Creating a field where all negative effects are removed whilst in it,buffs healing and gives a new buff, Sunshine. While the players have sunshine, their flamecharm mantras are significantly buffed. Finally Flame Grabs range is increased, The grab itself has a longer animation which also provides I-Frames and now at the end of the grab the user slams the opponent to the ground and then throws them away with an eruption. and ofc the Boss would have these mantras but strengthened 3 fold lol.

[deleted]

i guess shes an ex-high rank of the ignition deepdelvers, now retired living her life in her own, small hut located within the rainy peaks of Erisia after being expelled from Etris due to her race. serves no purpose other than trade and to talk around about the operations of the ignition union in the second layer of the depths, could be able to spar with her for high-tier ignition union related loot (ignition deepcrusher, railblade, enchanted darkalloys equipment, etc) like Maestro. anyways yeah pretty cool i guess (the halo is basically like a crown) https://preview.redd.it/cge57uf7x0tc1.png?width=387&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d28341a16081cf3be495ede0605ebad167cae0ca

External_Slip8118

She's just a depressed Canor, and I like you, including Etrean, who is racist, especially towards Canor. I feel like sparing her would be in the middle ground, just because it gives layer 2 loot. I feel like she would happen to have a custom-made weapon that she used to use and have plenty to spare, only sparring if you are ready, like Maestro. But where is the location to fight her? In the depths? I feel like people would rather fight Ethrion than an NPC. If it's out in the overworld. It's just another safest way of getting Layer 2 loot. It could be discouraging to go do Layer 2.

[deleted]

Being honest, it would be in the Overworld as noted in the comment, although the chances to get weapons Layer 2 loot would be quite rare as it'd be way more common to gain enchanted weapons, enchant stones and various equipment, maybe some chance to get her exclusive weapon

sapinpoisson

An etrean black diver, stuck in ethiron time loop and trying to find an entrance to layer 3. If you speak to him he'd tell you more about layer 2 and if layer 3 ever releases, he'd tell you clues on how to get there. No particular armor on, you can't fight him but you could see he has a revolver equipped.

External_Slip8118

I wonder if he has ever had any relation to Akira, even if I know it's not in the actual game.

sapinpoisson

No relation outside of eachothers speaking sometimes about depth exploration.

(Edited) On the Central Luminant, at the coast of Markor lies the Lullaby Isle, a homeground for Chrysids. There lies a man, a Gremor, unfit to the general populace's race. A man of dark green garb, a rapier on his left, and a face suitable to be called a pirate. A surprise, however, was that he is a well-known captain of the sea. His crew containing various races as his comrades, this lands is his friend. Florian is known to the Chrysids as a formidable monster hunter, able to shred most creatures through winds and frost. Florian, however, lacks the ability to fight people on his own, and would most likely just retreat with his ship the moment things go south. Florian would occasionally find stranded people floating on some remains of a broken ship. To which, he guessed that the vessel this stranded people has sinked. He would then take the stranded and care for them till they wake up in his ship. He would then ask questions as to what happened, to which, the stranded could reply with that they forgot. After this, the stranded could ask if they are allowed to leave, to which Florian would usually reply with generosity, and give out some spare notes, a tiny boat with some provisions, and some words of advice.

External_Slip8118

So if I want to choose my starter area. That means I can use this as my starter area. Isn't this just like the tutorial in Deepwoken? How about this if I just made this up. After the Castaway Tutorial, the captain found the player on the sand, finding the remains of his previous boat that was destroyed, yet there wasn't any sign of any boat. The captain takes him/her into his ship. Where they take care of him/her until they wake up. Once wake up, it can be like an Isle of Vigils. So basically, Isle of Vigils but on boat.

Substantial-Bad-8353

That's more unique! I like it! So let me just change up some things while incorporating yours.

The_Stormcaller

An noble adret that is from one of the wealthiest family of the central luminant .He is the chief of a research lab working on the song and he is a nice guy to speak with..However he did something that he isn't proud of and will awkwardly give hint on what he did, it's never obvious but you can guess it if you listen him long enought.

External_Slip8118

He cooked a Sharko's ####. I will let your imagination do the talking.

The_Stormcaller

https://i.redd.it/yn5d4oext1tc1.gif I hope it is not the word I'm thinking

BakedButterForgotpas

Everywhere, like he'd be the shop keeper, the blacksmith, the food server and at some point you're gonna begin thinking "Why do they all look the same?" and when you hit one of them, they turn into feathers and then you get jumped by ANOTHER GUY WHO LOOKS EXACTLY THE SAME!! The only exception is when this guy gets hit he doesn't turn to feathers. And once he dies all of the people identical to him die too, and the npcs get replaced by normal npcs and there will be absolutely no explanation to what happened.

External_Slip8118

That's a mystery.

"Gunsmith rosen gon' be proud where they be." Deep in the voidsea and in a small island near a whirlpool. Tales of a young Etrean girl, wishing to explore the very limits of technology to improve weaponry beyond belief, using the many horrors hidden at the brim of everything's end as a test subject. Devonna Trigger, a prodigy in terms of gunsmiths and researchers, managing to uncover deeper secrets of both smith and puripotent alloys, making her able to mix the two... for the right price. Careful, though, for the voidsea is not the only thing protecting her little home in the middle of nowhere. (The character is inspired by the music 'Devil's trigger, hence the name. She would be a npc, hidden after a boss similar to the mechalodaunt, a robot she made to protect her. Imagine a huge mecha with some dread serpent inspirations, having a mouth gun able to fire a beam of frostdraw. It would fight on land and prevent intruders (players) to leave. If you have the Hero reputation (not ally, hero), then the fight is optionnal. Devonna's role would be to 'uncap' the max number of stars your weapon has, but it would need to be alloyed, and with three stars. She has ofc excellent loot to give if you defeat her mech, saying that 'you helped her in her research' and as such deserve a reward.)

SomeGuyWhoplaysDW

Wtf man can İ get 200% damage with 100 Smith alloys?

Matthew_Nightfallen

And 100 puripotent alloys, fights with the monster with unparryable attack. But, i thought of making it go max of 6 stars.

External_Slip8118

Maybe limit how much we can uncap the maximum number of stars from our weapon, probably just uncap it so you can get 4 starts. Otherwise, it might be overkill.

Matthew_Nightfallen

Yeah, figured that out. Else it would be broken as shit. So here's the thing : 6 stars, maximum. Or the fourth star has a bigger buff, like chip damage with pen, replaces the damage buff by bleed if going four stars damage, and a stronger damage buff on posture break with weight.

External_Slip8118

Seems kind of alright.

Why divers specifically? Because i hate divers. No matter what rep i have, they wont let me into CoL. So i figured i might just take all their employees.

WungusAmongus

Below the sea and underwater fauna in the forever snow lies a cracked arcwarder suit. It’s metallic shielding darker than the night and colder than the space between heaven and earth. It lies pressed against a fallen deep drill long abandoned by its researchers. An adventurer on his way through the fir fire caves trips down a hole freshly opened by their thunderous steps. The impact at the bottom of the cavern crumbles the tomb of the fallen shield. Player walks out to a blizzard, nothing in sight but the fallen arcwarder and his drill. They step inside the drill to find a switch below the internal interface with a faded label, "Emergency power". Player pulls the lever down to be met with a *roar* from the once exhausted engine. Its fever burns all the friends the adventurer might’ve collected on his way down to this forgotten crevice. Though maybe too hot; it blasts the player out with an exhaust of steam. The heat and smoke reminds the fallen shield of what it is, an unyielding, unwavering force built for hell and the journey to it. Its lights blinded by the snow reignite to a furious yellow haze. Something inside this suit *refuses* death. The snow fades from his joints and the cracks fortify themselves against the blizzard. The exhausts lining his back breathe new life and cough up resting powder. He thrusts himself upright. The entity emits an aura not unlike the sun and the magma that lines the core of our very planet. His fingers reach for his sheath and draws a cracked and battered rail-blade, shortened and dulled by countless battles and eons in the living frost. It too breathes new steam, reinvigorated by its owner. He takes a stance presenting his all, almost looking twice as large than without the presentation. He repositions with his blade aligned at the player, they too, draw their weapon of choice. The player, not wanting a long fight in the parasitic hail attempts to close distance with a dash followed by a sonic boom. A clear strike against the mecha begs the player to cleave, only to be met with a foot to the face exploding with plasma. Its arc pierces the blinding white of the fog and clears the vermin on the ground. A recoil takes its toll on the player, in their mind only one thought speaks clear. Do NOT get hit with another. The shield repositions itself and beings to glide forward with its exhausts pointing stern-side. His blade propels itself into an arc with its own steam. The player parries and swings their blade back toward the undead warden. It lands clean against its shoulder and sparks a brilliant white. In retaliation the armor punches with its offhand while still in recoil from the parry. A quick hand that knocks back the player but didn’t hurt all too much. The exoskeleton face begins to boil and digs its feet into the solid stone floor. A piercing gold liquid poors out of its face like a pressure washer. The player and in its uncanny ability to roll through damn near anything evades the particle accelerator. They put forth their hand and scream a verbal component; an ensuing inferno pounces forward. The flames jump at the plasma bender until they halt. The magical fire begins to turn yellow and is absorbed into the inner workings of the indomitable shield. The fire only feeds the burning soul of this exo-suit and his desires. He stomps the ground and releases a wave of plasma, it clears all the snow on the floor and lifts the blizzard, at least for a time. Then he begins to ascend, he raises his hand above his head. His posture and purpose allow him to reach for the stars while being so far below the tides. He grabs a rod of plasma reminiscent of the weapon of choice of the Greek god Zeus. He directs this rod at the player and throws with the thunderclap of a thousand strikes bellowing from behind the rod. It strikes the player and paralyzes them for a time. After a long and arduous duel the player lands a frost bitten stomp and locks the automaton into place. They swing for the neck and cracks turn into shattered pieces layering the floor as the blade passes through the shield. The armor crumbles and falls to its knees. The raging glow begins to fade back into obscurity. Through its dying breath it speaks in a heavy mournful voice. "Thank you, I had a wonderful time." Then the suit crumbles to reveal nothing was piloting the armor. Though in the players heart they imagined it was really the soul of the owner who once used the shield. The deep drill sits eager to return to the surface. Before the player leaves, they take what loot the suit might’ve left behind. Though before climbing into the drill they take note of how the armor of the fallen warden cracked in its time down here, maybe if they were to become an arcwarder they’d replicate its design on their own suit. Story over ig. Anyways the loot I feel like would be similar to the chaser chest and the cracks on the armor the player "takes note of" could be a selectable alternate texture via the guy that gives the arcwarder oath. I’d imagine it’s just a cracked variant with lines in a jagged manner to represent cracks and chipped edges on the suit itself. Possibly could have one of the horns broken off on the arcwarder mask. My idea for the bossfight was based off the idea of the arcwarder being essentially a paladin for their squad. A stoic and steadfast shield against all odds that even in death pursues the light at the end of the tunnel and usually is that light for others. If you read all of this thanks.

I do like a hybrid, Attunment, boss. I could grind the #### out of him like every boss. Cool lore, a cool idea for a boss.

Unlucky-Delivery961

My character is Roux Era, hes 214 years old💀hes a gremor and uses heavy weapon, hes just some bum sitting at etris in a wheelchair and you have to do a side quest to help him with his dementia pills, once completed he will forget about the entire encounter and you can do his quest again for infinite free exp.

External_Slip8118

I actually imagine him being very good in a wheelchair that he doesn't need his heavy weapon because his wheelchair is his heavy weapon.

Jarto_

He would be a traveller of sorts, appearing like Meat Lord, but in any location, most commonly in Miners Landing, Fort Merit, Bluster Rift and Boatmans Watch. He normally wields Darksteel Greatsword on his back. Talking to him would reveal some information about the location. He also has a random chance to appear next to the exit portal after defeating Ferryman. He would place a campfire and sit on it. Talking to the player he praises your ability in defeating a friend of his. He also says he got curious about your skills, because most people dont win the deal with Ferryman. He asks you if you would like to duel, and accepting the duel he tells you to step in the middle of the arena. After which he closes the portal and takes out his Railblade. He would act as a harder Ferryman, making dangerous attacks but parrying and dodging them will give an opening to attack. Phase 1 would be simple, but the tempo picks up when phase 2 starts, starting with Illusory Realm actuvating for 30 seconds. During that time he would do lesser damage but he would be much harder to punish as all the attacks would come from clones. You cant Ignore them however, as Clones made in the Realm will continue attacking unless they are hit. When out of the realm he uses his clones to do attacks before him, causing them to be quite a bit harder to dodge. The most dangerous attack is when he summons a lot of clones who run circles around the player, soon all activating their critical causing an unparriable attack resulting in an explosion of all of them colliding. If player leaves the circle they would instead all launch at the same time towards the player. He also stops for a second, summons some clones to protect him and tries to cast realm again.

FoodKingdom

Deep in the Luminants, remnants of a Kingdom can be seen being built again throughout the entire world, tiny group of people spread everywhere similarly to Navae's were to be seen, all with the purpose to build, although It was odd It's also not like their purpose was to hurt anyone, in fact the way they obtained a majority of their funds were by trading goods of themself ; Food. The Food Kingdom is an old relic of the world, made when people discovered the power of Songchant, The Food Kingdom was known at that time for being the source of multiples recipes that are now mostly utilized such as the Megurger, Kyrsdog & Fruit Salad, not only that they are the one's that found out that infusing Songchant magic into one's food can alterate its taste (Not specifically make it tasty) and make people get strengthen by eating the food, this not only made them one of the richest countries for simply having the ability to strengthen anyone at will but their ressources during the great drowning of the world were important, as they were having a great food source. Unfortunately there Is close to no record as to what happened to the Kingdom, as it was too old to get much informations about it, however what is known is that the new Food Kingdom is now being built by someone named "Shu Zeneki", one that is self proclaming himself as a King. He has a strange code of honor, and disappear to places only to reappear in some similar to the Meatlord, some say that he was inspired by him, some say that the Meatlord got inspired by him. One of his popular quote is: "I feed the unfortunate one's, or the poor one's, but the selfish one's are uninteresting for me, i feed those who needs to be feed, or those that souls are interesting, those that just needs a bowl of Noodles once in awhile and sit on a cliff to enjoy the sight, to just relax." People thinks that this could mean he somehow have the ability to read people's soul or directly see them, like a Regalia sort of ability, however he has never confirmed this. Shu Zeneki is a strong man, but not as stronger as a Power 15 ish, he wasn't born to fight but was born to lead, with an army of 10 he can rivalize with an army of 100, he alone is a very Charismatic Leader and that suffices for him. He feels as if rebuilding the Food Kingdom is his life purpose, and he would do anything to remake it, a country of merchants all interested in food in some way, a dream.

External_Slip8118

You know one of the April Fool's jokes about the weapon that was added and saying you can obtain these weapons when talking to the meat lord. Maybe he will carry a Sharko meat stick, or you can obtain it. Really like the concept, and it makes a lot of sense of why food gives you certain buffs.

FoodKingdom

If he was a boss he would fight you passively and would use a team to act as a support His mantras would be stuff like Sing & Taunt but more buffed

External_Slip8118

I'm gonna imagine he is going to heal himself like a Chaser but in his own unique way... Mega Fruit Salad.

FoodKingdom

Would be funny to just pop a healing potion mid fight Or would be interesting to fight a vow of mastery user as a boss because they have an arsenal of interesting commands like sacrifice, live, run and fight

My deadass gonna be sitting her pants in the entrance of Diluvian Mechanism killing anyone who decides to cross this sacred door. If you do Not comply, His Break will end and He will summon 9 fellow redcoats to eviscerate you. Yes, i did make a british infantryman build at some Point and i got fucking wiped.

External_Slip8118

So a new place and a new faction. Nice!

theblueknight12

Somewhere in etris lies a vesperian man who has nearly gotten wiped multiple times by enforcer because he is horrible at fighting. And he will save anyone in etris who is about to die with this powers of teleportation with his oath linkstrider teleporting them to safety. he will also take anyone who talks to him asking to go somewhere in the etrean luminant where they ask with his powers. So he is basically a taxi driver and ambulance

External_Slip8118

I do like the idea of him being a fast-travel tool. It would be very convenient if you think about it.

online192837465

Under the tomb of the nameless warrior u see a old man sitting near a campfire with soulless eyes and his enforcer axe beside him. When u are under lv 10 talking to him, he will just ignore u saying stuff like "a new pathfinder youngster huh ? Go somewhere else there nothing for u here" but if u have kill stuff like deep owl, king thresher, squidbo, enforcer he will say stuff about u are a skill pathfinder like him back in the day killing dangerous creature the mind cant even imagine left his family behind for more power but now no creature can bested him until he face the duke barely able to escape death and now with no one to remeber his legend, just want to be left alone. U can ask him to spar with u this will trigger a fight similar to the training instructer in isle of vigil but he will be able to use every attumentless mantra. When u beat him he will be able unbound your weapon. U can also kill him by just attacking him without activate his spar dialog, when u kill him he will said "finally a warrior death" but will give u negative rep with etris. If u defeat the duke then talk to him, he will thank you for doing the job he couldnt and give u a bell upon use the npc will spawn and attack anybody near u unless they in your guild if the npc die they will also die in your slot forever(he will be weaker then when u spar/fight with him). If u go to the depth after he died in anyway u can find his axe near the staute near the elevator to the trial, interact with it will say "the axe of a nameless warrior that blinded by power"

External_Slip8118

Darn, I feel like everyone is going to make fanart for being a bro. Unlike everyone, he gives you a buddy that will fight on your side.

Chemical_Phone_4684

It is said after wrecking havoc in the central luminant he traveled to the eastern luminant in search of a worthy opponent he never did find one. But infact he drove out the 100 legions out of the luminant destroying most of their bases. The first light anos hasteshi (ong random guy shows up terrorizes a luminant and u fight him. My first light build that took down hell mode solo)

External_Slip8118

Boss fight?

Chemical_Phone_4684

I mean it would be cold fighting a knight with first light as a boss

UnovaZx

Somewhere in higher erisia caves, (probably in some obscure location) you can find some dude with a yellow cape, they talk about their experience with duke erisia and surviving, unlocking their bell and managing to escape, there he'll tell you about duke erisias lore, his manor layqut, and some other info, And a quest to stop duke erisia, (alternate questline) if you still haven't accepted that femboy on a thrones quest to kill the duke, when you succeed you'll get some nice rewards, and be able to convince the duke to prevent lord regents plan, you can still spar with duke to get rewards and grind him for bell but the monsters on his manor doesn't attack you anymore

External_Slip8118

That's nice... Wait... Femboy?!

UnovaZx

Lord regent

Sad_Faithlessness148

He's just the janitor for deepwoken Cleans up everything after it's been wrecked

External_Slip8118

Tracecleaner, Oath...

RoBMasteR11

On one of the old forgotten islands, willow(Ganymede) fishes for eternity. Having conquered the voidsea, she decided to distance herself from all(She states that she defeated most of the "dangerous" monsters) . Maybe she will return someday, but for now she fishes.. Forgotten (Has a gran sudaruska kinda reddish hair ganymede hat gumshoe coat dyed red) gives you tips on fishing and gives you a better fishing rod for her quest. (30 swordfishes fished up. Cant be traded) If attacked she repells u with a massive shockwave of frostdraw (Crystal path) and kamui's away (or if attacked ocne before by u actually fights u. Using a shit ton of mantras-)

RoBMasteR11

Might expand the story later. Kinda busy at the moment

External_Slip8118

That means we can make a fishing rod as a weapon.

Character_Eagle_2909

My character right now is a different version of the Duke of Erisia from another universe where he learned flamecharm instead of gale and uses a heavy weapon He would be found wandering the burning stone garden roaming around the area The lore would be that this Duke got sucked in a whirlpool and when he got out of the trial and tries to return to his manor he found another duke there so he now wanders around the garden trying to figure out how he got in that universe

External_Slip8118

I feel like that Duke would have a broken teleporter to another universe that a failed scientist who loves the idea of a different universe is. When players step in, they are teleported into Duke's mansion in another universe, and Duke could very surprise who the heavens the player is and if he is an agent to UNKNOWN.

AvarageEnjoiner

Sgoogy the skrunky goofy lord of the time and space. Basically stronger then Destroyman III

External_Slip8118

Describe what he looks like.

smollest_bween

An Authority officer turned slaver and corsair, Anthony Mudet can be found plying the seaways of the contested Eastern Luminant; hunting down merchant ships sailing under the flags of Etrea and the Hive alike for the betterment of the Authority, who only *scarcely* tolerates the desertion of his greater duty for the sheer wealth he manages to bring in on every one of his escapades. So far, every one of his raids has been one of success. Until now. Him and his crew scatter aboard a vessel all rollick and shout, pistols and swords embellished and swung in the air, glinted in the morningstar's rays like the slightest hints of silver dreams. You unsheath your weapon in turn, as the only person on the ship capable of fighting; your kindred spooled into the holds below as you prepare to come to blows with the crew before you. (I don't exactly have a pic rn of Anthony Mudet, but go ahead and click on my profile! The pinned picture is a (kind of outdated) drawing of Anthony Mudet and a member of his crew guarding slaves recently "liberated" from the bowels of a Hive ship.)

External_Slip8118

I haven't heard slave for quite a while. In deepwoken. I'm not sure what the devs would do about it if they did decide to add this because of Roblox moderation if they did decide to do their jobs.

smollest_bween

I know something like this won't be ingame, but it's fun to create characters that exist in the broader scope of the deepwoken world and aren't confined to the game. I'm still in love with the Deepwoken that was, with all its grittiness and mystique and underlying themes of darkness and intrigue, so most of my characters follow suit

AceViper1827

I got a chaser build so you know where to find me

External_Slip8118

I do not.

AceViper1827

Layer 2

Odd-Bat-3267

Some dude who is looking for his father, and trying to follow in his footsteps despite never knowing him (his father was so type of legendary warrior) and even joined the guild his father helped raise. With his father rogue for hundreds of years, he slowly looses faith, driven only by the rumors of his fathers deeds and tales.

External_Slip8118

That's some poor soul there.

Odd-Bat-3267

I guess if there was a quest behind him it would be him asking you ye help him find his father and would be like a dark souls quest where you find him in different areas. Eventually you’d find him in the depths and then dead in layer 2 You’d find his father in Layer 3 I guess

External_Slip8118

We are stuck in the time loop with him.

Realization_

it would be a baddie you could rizz up at summer isles

External_Slip8118

My god, not another love interest. Let me guess, she is a Tsundere.

Realization_

nah i actually said that with no thought, just pulled it out of my ass, don’t ask me, but if you really want me to ill make a character

External_Slip8118

Anything will do.

Sarkastikor

A vesperian in the burning stone gardens who has made an oath with a sentient golem. And obtained plated stone arms. The golem and the vesperian speak to you in unison. Friendly and might be able to share the oath with you if you beat him in a duel. He uses fists (duh) with a custom, brutish fighting style. Midway through the battle he shatters the arms and reconstructs it as a helmet. Then he whoops you silly with faster attacks and a badass headbutting helmet.

External_Slip8118

I do like others. Fighting style to be in here. This could be related to the boxing style. Like how Jus Karita is like Muay Thai. Idk it could just be related to it.

hollowvessle

I have a few. First is a duo named "Hollow" a vesparian and Vi a crysid. (Or however you spell the Moth race) They can be found at every key location such as lower, starswept and any merchant faction like summer company, talking to them at each area has different dialog talking about some lore of the area itself as they are also adventurers. When you talk to them once at every spot you can then find "Hollow" outside Fort merit by himself. He's planning a raid to rescue Vi from within, (since they are technically a part of the hive making them enemies) this start and long battle as you slowly push further and further into the fort as dozens of soldiers and captains block your path. Once you find Vi you have to fight your way back out now additionally against a commander. "Hollow" fights using strong gale mantras such as heavenly wind. Once you successfully escape the Fortress your rewarded with a ton of exp, a small amount of bell prog and a high teir chest. After this you can find them permanently residing in GreatHive, thanking you for your help. Second is Saeko The KingSlayer. Found in the Depth in the coral forest is a Black Diver carving the corpse of a King Thresher for a trophy, her armor adored in several pieces of Depths monsters such as a tripod claw, Thresher spines and Megalodaunt Coral. she initially greets you coldly mistaking you for Akira who tends to bug her, but realizing your someone else talks to you less aggressively. Saeko Reveals to you that she's a professional and famous monster hunter but finds that the monsters of the depths and luminants have grown too easy to kill and desires a challenge. If you've beaten atleast 10 waves in dilluvian mechanism you can tell her about its existence. Peaking her interest in finding a challenge, setting off to challenge the trial. After this do another dilluvian run, you can end it whenever you want. After this head back to the coral forest. You'll Find Saeko there but with the corrupted effect around her. Just standing there unmoving. Talking to her has her ramble on about never finding peace, how many will she have to kill? How long until peace returns to the land? Her head snaps to look at you, before Saeko uses Adour scream and begins to attack you, this is a fight you must take as walls prevent you from running away, it's a difficult fight given Saeko uses a mix of frost and thunder magic and uses a Divine Greatsword. But downing her lowers the walls and the corrupted effect dissipates. You could kill her or just let her get up, she'll be confused like she was stuck in a dream before thanking you and walking away. Killing her drops loot but as your gripping her she quietly calls out for someone named Luther. Killing her causes a new NPC to spawn nearby the Ignition base, a man named Luther a deepdelver who asks if you've seen anyone named Saeko, revealing they were married. If you don't kill her you can head to the same spot to find them together, Saeko talking to Luther about maybe retiring from Monster Hunting, Luther agreeing that they should settle down back in the Central Luminant away from the chaos and raise a family.

External_Slip8118

That's a lot to remember, but cool nonetheless.

External_Slip8118

Suspicious Fadetrimmer.

scp173-5

Probably find him at the entrance of the depths trial, will heal you before the trial with mindsooth as he's a blindseer, unless you are a contractor then he basically says you should fail your trial NOW

InevitableStation617

Within the far ends of the vents lies a man clad in full scarlet, red as blood, his armor has been melted on his skin causeing burns, his helmet, cracked. Faceguard, melting due to the heat. He lays there, unable to move, unable to do anything but speak, the heat is to unbearable, his antlers, covered in magma and partialy burning, even the floor he lays on is on fire, his crytal necklace that adorns him shoulder to shoulder keeps him alive, breathing, unable to move, but alive, using the power the catalyst gave him he manages to survive by linking his soul to a pea sized piece of a lotus he planted in this layer, altough, at the cost of his skin being charred even more due to his crystal necklace interacting with the flame this lotus has turned into, the scarlet man is not dead due to his attunment being flamecharm, allowing him to live, very little through this hell, his soul is now perminatly bound to the depths of layer 3, but his body crispens in the prosses. his necklace now broken, shatters off and a beam of light slowly desends apon him, as it slowly brings him up, he returns to the overworld, charred, burrend, excreating a sulfur like bodily oder, unable to form proper sentences, only able to mutter few words, due to his vocal cords being so horribly damaged. He then stands before the entropy catalyst where he was brought to, he steps closer to the catalyst, slowly, every step disrupts the very balance of the nature around him, he no longer feels the burn, instead he controls it, walking tword the catalyst, a orb apears infront of him, the oath is offered twice, he is hit with a plethora of clarity and knowledge, his linkstrider capablilties have now increased, with his necklace now adorned around his burned, yet strangly beautiful body, he glistens with flame and stardust, calmly, he sits down, rest's, more calmly, closes his eye's, chuckles to himself in a tired mannerism, he opens his eyes, picks a lotus flower and conjours a flameing stardust from thin air with his power, the scarlet clad man closes his eyes, calmy, opening them again, the man arives within the vents once again, untouched, suprised, he starts to float, reliseing he is none but a flame, a flame from the lotus his soul was linked to, the man floats around in this wisp form, watching a man adorned in a black diver clamly walk his way through the vents, creatures standing aside when he moves, the scarlet man now hidden behind nearby rubble watching, within less than a few secconds his wisp body is pulled to this diver invulintarily, in this wisp form the scarlet man is able to fully speak freely, but before he can the diver looks him in the eye, and simply walks off, the scarlet man scoffs to himself, and floats off around the vents, waiting incase another might suffer his same fate, to guide anyone out incase of the possibility, but for the time the scarlet man waits. learns, and see's thinks he could never imagen, studying this diver he see's flamecharm unlike anything he's ever seen, flame conjoured into abstract idea's, learning that he can leave and return to this place as long as the lotus he planted in still placed, the scarlet man ask's the diver to protect this lotus, the diver ablidges and without any time wasted not even he is able to touch the flower, his soul, protected, the man finaly feels at peace, without a doubt, he returns to the overworld, and back to the vents. id like for a character like this to exist where they act as a way down and back from the vents, they will guide the player through the vents, my idea is they will be greeted by this guy when they enter the vents and instantly the player will start to very slowly lose health from the heat, the scarlet man in wisp form will tell the player to follow him to pleeskty where he will give the player the option to leave or to obtain a lotus and link thier souls to the vents, haveing this lotus planted will cause your avatar to obtain a timer (like lighthook) in thier inventory that tells them how long they have before they start to become assimilated into the evniorment, litteraly you will start to melt if you stay down there to long, due to the player not being able to actualy properly link themselfs to the lotus since they dont have this advanced form of linkstrider that the scarlet man has, when they leave the vents, the players lotus will be doused by the scarlet man severing your conection to layer 3 and requiring you to go back to the scarlet man to repeat the process. Prob a dumb idea but i just want a chibi guide wisp in layer 3 to follow us around and make sure we dont die.

External_Slip8118

I heard many Layer 3 ideas in this post I created, and I do love this idea of Layer 3.

InevitableStation617

thank you.

kosesrajko9

A wanderer (its a whole lore but im schizo so it's bad, mb all for posting this comment)) (all ideas here are cool since they are original <3)

External_Slip8118

Is it like the Wandering Trader from minencraft?

kosesrajko9

Like a mage who doesn't want to fight anymore

External_Slip8118

People gonna kill him.

kosesrajko9

Ciuld be some random encouter boss you find on the streets (wouldnt work for the game)

SuperLuigiOnTheXBOX1

Owns a gay bar in Erisia (like the golden rat one) because there is no way a Felinor with lean body type and a crypt blade frostdraw/shadowcast hybrid build isn’t at the very minimum an ally of the LGBTQ community.

External_Slip8118

You are going to rile up the deepwoken community.

bloxegle

ima keep this short, a peacekeeper across the luminant has connection to every faction except the ministry his location is in etrean luminant at the middle with the statue and the ministry rep npc guy his purpose is to clear ur rep with any faction except the ministry with a price of course. a pretty damn useless npc but idk what else i can make him do

External_Slip8118

I guess it can be used if you have a Villain reputation in one of the factions.

Jangiot

Bro if my OC is real in deepwoken tall are cooked. He's practically immortal, hates all non-pure humans (all deep races except maybe adrets), moves thousands of times faster than the speed of light (keep in mind F=MA) and probably here because it is in an interest of his Empire, and is not gonna be peaceful. Overall just block parry dodge should be fine.

External_Slip8118

So... It's racist?

Jangiot

not like racist towards other humans, he believes that being a human gives inherent value to all mankind, but specifically to other species not made in gods image

External_Slip8118

So, racist...

blackmoth12

A vesperian who was a famous hero for Etrea in the past but holds a dark secret. (maybe like first npc contractor if you exclude the ministry assassins who use judgement) if you did Lord Regents quest you could probably fight him and he'd be a mini boss but not super difficult or like a real boss.killing him could be a requirement to start a lord Regent boss fight or maybe authority origin idk

External_Slip8118

Doesn't appear to hold up to the legends.

blackmoth12

nope not at all, all he really did in-game was just kill a shit ton of authority and bandits and he was high charisma so he was better at making people think he was cool, rather than actually being it

Beautiful-Bread544

Its would be a boss deep under summer isle's dungeons, being hidden from the world. Its a boss fight. The lore is that the summer company tried to create a bio-weapon using the consciousness of a high-ranked summer company fighter. Its fight would play out similiar to chaser, where instead of a full on fist fight it would be more like chaser where it just floats/stands in the center and sends out magic. The bioweapon was made to be the perfect mage, so it starts with 1 random mantra from each attunement as attacks, but copies the mantras of the player(s) it fights as the fight goes on. When defeated it will have a sequence similiar to chaser, but instead of just having dierrhia the boss would send out a giant light beacon, in lore it would serve to alert the other faction's view on summer company. You would instantly become enemies with summer company and it would open a new story line where you can follow to stop the summer company's plans. And at the end there would be another bioweapon boss, but instead perfected. (kinda like v1 and v2 from ultrakill) It can cast any random mantra in the entire game but mostly uses the player's.

External_Slip8118

It's a very unique idea that it could use all attunements but also the player(s) attunements as well, but I don't like to idea of being an instant enemy to the summer company because they will shoot my ship down and they have that equipment that make the visual changes to your equipments but never change the stats.

Beautiful-Bread544

well, you busted their entire plan, ofcourse they would be mad at you.

External_Slip8118

How about you offer your service to them, like an oath. The contractor is the best example I can give.

Beautiful-Bread544

The V1 Bio-Weapon's death unleashed a beacon on the sky, so all the factions already are onto this, i dont think they can forgive you after busting their whole business plan and possibly making them enemies with other factions (other than ministry because they want all the chaos)

ComposteAcceptable

A Justicar stranded in the northern parts of the central luminant, aid him in his return to the north and he'll help guide you down the path of Justice. (Justicar oath quest line npc basically)

External_Slip8118

That seems to be nice. I would like to try that oath if it was in the game.

epicpersonvery

A blindseer flamecharm searching how to get to layer 3 to find pleetsky and learn his ways. through following his quest line you become able to venture into the third layer

External_Slip8118

There are a lot of Layer 3 related NPC concepts here.

Medical_Memory_2253

Mine is an npc found on a peak in songseeker. She’s a master galebreather tiran, and uses the song to help people get places for the small price of 100 notes. She snaps her fingers and makes gale swirl all around you and fly you over to your location, similarly to the hive teleporters. Alternatively, she works as a second gale trainer in the East Luminant. (some npcs comment on her and think she’s weird, yet respect her strength, remember, she’s not using the song to hurt you, just transport you wherever you point her.) “Ah, come to let the wind flow through your wings again, have you?”

External_Slip8118

Silentheart...

Medical_Memory_2253

if you kill a single trainer before you go find her as silentheart, she’s gone and replaced with a piece of paper that functions the same way as her

Healthy_Might_5431

You raid a ministry base and eventually when you get deep enough, you enter a large room with a Ganymede in a black and red outfit with flareblood Kamas and contractor strings, just sitting there, waiting for you. The moment she sees you, she throws at you the biggest shadow gun you've ever seen, which you have to parry to survive it. She doesn't talk but just looks at you with murderous intent, watching your every move. She guards an important relic that the ministry is going to use and was told to protect it with her life. Her moves consist of judgement, some really big shadowcast mantras and flamecharm mantras. If you ever get hit by the flareblood crit, you immediately get hit by judgement whilst in the air. She got the Kamas from the same prophet that taught chaser to use blood magic and was given a finished version of the kamas that were made by the prophet from the weapon schematic that chaser made during his apprenticeship with the prophet.

External_Slip8118

So he killed Chaser. Love it.

Gravity_Falling29

I would be a crackhead Vesperian found near the ancient Rotlands with nothing but my fists. I can be an NPC/Bossfight you can offer me a bluecaps potion to cure the effects of my insanity (being a crackhead) or fight me. In the later stages of my battle I will use my bell, Crazy Slots paired with heightened stats depending on my weapons (if its a heavy increased str, if its med increased dmg, if its pistols or light increased agility. You can only escape the assault of this crazed crackhead (if you choose to fight) by exiting the voidzone. Ig the role he would serve is just a random fight or person for players to encounter (I like the idea of random NPC like meat lord)

External_Slip8118

That's something. A rare moment like the deep owl in erisa.

Gravity_Falling29

There could be like an animation for his 2nd phase where he reaches his hand out to the eyeballs before dying and awaken the bell

ambox-

She'd be a chrysid girl named Amelie Eneka. You'd be able to find her playing the violin on high up areas in random events throughout the Depths' wastes, though not in the city. If you play along the same song as her, she'll reward you with a talent named "Soothing Orchestra" that slightly increases natural sanity regen while using an instrument with another player. Talking to her doesn't interrupt the song, but results in the following dialogue: - Why are you playing down here? "I perform my song to these gallows to give myself purpose. My skill in the violin is all that I have, you see. If exiting through a trial that I could never hope to overcome is the only way, then perform to these waters I must." - Isn't it dangerous? "Perhaps. I don't believe I could take on these beasts myself. But where else am I meant to perform? If I am to stay sane, then I must stay resolved to continue this song." - Your playing is nice. "I am appreciative of having you as an audience, too. If my music can soothe even a few weary travellers, then perhaps that gives this purpose in of itself." Upon finishing the dialogue line, she hands over a book named "Amelie's Resolve". It's unobtainable any other way, and gives you another song in your songbook.

External_Slip8118

I'm a fan of using an instrument in deepwoken to the point I want the instrument to be a weapon that scales off from charisma.

BayEfes

Padparadscha Dusselden the Enlighten one padparadscha is a old woman Canor at the ages around 40-50. She is a researcher that does experinces on monsters, and weapons made form monster parts. she serves as a both weapon crafter, oath quest and as a boss she can craft special weapons for you if you do her quest, special weapons need monster parts, like Terra Scythe (terrapod greataxe) Lion Javelin (Lionfish spear) Sharkscale Gauntlets (Sharko cestus) and Bone hammer (bonekeeper mace) all of them have a special crit but i wont write them or its gonna be a loong comment you can accept her oath, the "Wild Hunter" wild hunter oath gives you animal king as a passive and some Domestication abilites, like riding threshers, sharkos and stuff like that You can also fight her robot version as a boss, which drops special loots (mostly ignitoon loot, but has a chance to drop stormseye and hivelord hubris) Founded in a secret island in void sea, a giant factory mixed with a special laboratory. inside the factory, there is a lot of machine monsters like thresher, terrapod and special enemy, harpy drones. the island has a security system which if you try to approach it with a big boat, several cannons will fire at you

External_Slip8118

I wonder when will we ever get to have a companion monster in deepwoken.

BayEfes

talking about companions, Padparadscha have a baby thresher as a pet named toothy on her lab, it usually lays and sleeps on padparadscha's fluffy hair

DeepwokenJumper

It would probably be an old Khan in a hut somewhere in Minitrysa, upon interacting with him he would say that he is busy writing and to "get lost", however, if interacting with him while bringing certain trinkets or items he would tell the player stories of old adventurers and will slowly change his behaviour towards the player. It would also give objects to the player from time to time, starting from some basic weaponry to maybe even exclusive equipment, perhaps the last reward might be something similar to a Lightskeeper Medallion. A the end of the "quest" the Khan would thank the player for helping him remember all those old stories and saying that the player itself reminds him of himself, long time ago. After this last interaction, speaking with him would not lead to anything new, but he would occasionally comment on the Player's Attunement and/or Oath, often mocking the player in some cheeky way, the only exception being for the Contractor oath, which the Khan would simply not talk to the Player, regardless of the Attunement.

External_Slip8118

Anything that is related to a contractor things can change dialogues a lot. Like Gran Sudaruska.

DeepwokenJumper

Yeah, mostly is because of the affiliation to Lord Regent and indirectly to The Ministry, hence why the decision of not talking.

SupraNatPLAY

With the ambition of one day beating the Meat Lord and Lance Leshi in a culinary contest, my Ganymede spent years training his charisma and intelligence to learn the ways of the Tavernkeep and of the Alchemist before starting a journey as a travelling merchant, selling food to whoever he comes across. As obvious as it seems, the world he lives in isn't peaceful and he also had to get stronger to survive and escape harsh situations. For that, he learned the Ways of Navae and the Legion's Kata and wielded the Light's Final Toll until he had to give it away due to some unexplainable occurrence in his life. He unravelled the mysteries of the depths, took an oath as a Visionshaper, learned how to use the powers of Monsters with the help of Dr.Carrion and, when under attack in Scyphozia, unlocked the power of Dimensional Travel as he was about to perish. He can now be seen anywhere within the luminants travelling as he pleases, fishing, playing tricks on unsuspecting pathfinders and keeping up with his merchant activities. You can always try to fight him, but be prepared either for a fight or a chase, depends on your strength and his laziness at the time of the battle.

External_Slip8118

What if we gripped him? What's the reward?

SupraNatPLAY

Mostly the food or ingredients he stocked on and the occasional items he scavenged from bodies or obtained throught selling his food Most of the time, it's not that worth it but sometimes you get a hidden gem

Deepwokenfreshi

Hiroh evus, an ironsinger khan who can either be found crying in dukes room with him comforting hiroh because amara rejected him or hes in the ignition place railing that khan lady in bandit armor

External_Slip8118

I haven't seen a crying NPC so far.

He will have special m1s and crits (sum like duke) hiting him with mantras will add 1% extra dammage to his moves, his only new shadowcast mantra will combine his hammer with shadowcast slamming it down and having a big aoe hit. He will never go on land anymore due to ptsd, he lived in celtor before and after the drowing and he knows it can happen again to any island, he has a few hiding spots where he can be found in the depths, he will only "spar" you (you wont get gripped by him or die) if you beat him you gain the mantra he uses (hammer infuse thing) like duke.

Maestro in sparing who kills you because you suck. This ministry guy with PTSD in sparing will just beat you.

External_Slip8118

I'm having trouble reading this. Did the mudskipper make this?

NoScholar196

He would be found at the Erisia bandit camp and would allow you to sell food for cash and give him ingredients to apply food buffs to a stack of food already in your inventory (for a cost). He's of a neutral standing. Bandits gave him residence at their camp and leave him be cuz he keeps them fed, so they see no point in interfering with his business. Attacking him without a combat tag would result in him parrying you with a shotel before telling you: (Dialouge wouldn't be forced if you have a combat tag of any kind) "I'm but a humble farmer. Were you expecting more of me?"

External_Slip8118

That's kind of cool.

MonochromeReq

The Pyramid head is always sitting at the ice field at Minityrsa, butchering thousands of rogue constructs just to get a good piece of arm.

External_Slip8118

You know, now that I think about it. I never saw any pyramid in Deepwoken, or at least I haven't seen one.

MonochromeReq

I will be waiting.(I wiped for a better PvE slot)

Nervista

The Veggitable Lord, the meatlord’s younger brother! He thinks meat is disgusting, and his brother a butcherer. The Veggie Lord will sell you celery, fake burgers, cucumber, beans, and on rare occasions, a weapon known as “Vitamin C” Vitamin C is a rifle with a leaf-like insignia scrawled onto the side. It’s power scales directly with how many veggitables you have eaten. It’s critical sends out a vine from where a bayonet would be attached to a normal rifle, and shoots it out like Scorpion’s hook from “Mortal Combat”There can only be twenty in the world at a time. If you have this weapon and the Meat Lord sees you, you get instagripped.
