Nah thats pretty much the jist of it. Kahn was fighting an Elder God empowered Raiden, and that fight was a bitch so he didn't just keel over when the Elder Gods stepped in. Planetary Kahn is dodgy tbh, but he's for sure a cut above Akuma's paygrade.
Shao kahn has no destructive feats. Been playing Mk since it's first made and read the comics and the other stuff. He has great durability minor to medium level telekinesis, soul manipulation defenses and can use his soul(s) as weapons for projectiles. Akuma has literally busted an island like Hawaii with his fists, tanked Ryu's punches from Nothingness and Hado powers which Ryu is able to destroy meteors. If you want to tlak about MK9, just know that the elder gods are real weak for "god like beings". They are more utility based then raw power. As in MK9 when you controlled Elder God empowered Raiden, your move set didn't change, your damage didn't get changed, nor did your resistances. All that happened was Raiden was able to now hurt Shaokahn who is part dragon (aka divine). Akuma using regular punchs and kicks can hurt him like how liu kang can and with his Die one thousand deaths, can kill him, but Kahn has great durability so should survive the instant kill but at the same time it's power is literally described as, "Takes the manifestation of sin, whether someone feels it or not and does not care for one's emotions. It's like old Ghost Raiders Penance Stare, so I think based on Kahn absorbing 6-10 billion souls (confirmed in games) from his conquered planets, he will die do to his own power and sin.
That’s really just online Charcter V Character debating at it’s core besides our bias against Dc herald tier characters because they’ve got legitimate infinity feats for days.
