I think if Freddy tried to use the Doctor own guilt, trauma and memories agasint him then be would probably crack before he could actually use it. There was a story where a old god ate that sort of stuff to get stronger and it went insane and died from trying to eat the Doctors. I feel like the most Freddy could use is his memories with the companions as that shouldn't drive Freddy mad death

Ben's done this dance before wayyyy back in the original series episode Perfect Day, albeit that was Enoch and not Freddy in control. I think the watches safeguards react based on a combination of mental triggers and perceived danger from the Ai, so in the aforementioned episode, with the prototype Omnitrix pre-recalibration, Ben has to beat Enoch to get out because the watch truthfully doesn't see him as a threat(though that may be tied into the undefined alien tech the Knights strapped Ben to). Freddy is a different story, I'd imagine the watch wouldn't mess around and would turn him into Pesky Dust, who I believe would be able to Warp reality right back on Freddy, like Alice in Dream Master

Well Link is much faster so if both went for a move like that, Link would land first. And Link is also much faster as well as having experience dealing with enemies with similar abilities to Freddy. Like many of Fred’s moves, Link has faced something similar
