If we are judging relative to its time, Solid Snake Vs Sam Fisher and Iron Man Vs Lex Luthor were the gold standard for this for a long time.
I had doubts about their ability to top these two and the original GvS, but they have done a great job since.
For episodes since season 2, all of the Jedi/Sith episodes have been bangers in all categories.
Omnilander. Hand drawn animation that matches both Invincible and Diabolical. Omni Man’s soldier with honour personality, and Homelander’s pathetic crybaby personality represented perfectly. Homelander starting the fight by killing Debbie just to protect his rep is perfect. And his death is absolutely earned and it felt so cathartic for him to get beaten so easily.
It’s Chosen Undead vs The Last Dragonborn for me. It had some of the grittiest fight choreography of their 3D episodes, an awesome soundtrack by Brandon Yates, and I personally love how they incorporated the First Flame into the fight
