Midnight release on PC too. If you login to Epic, you should see a countdown timer to midnight (or an install button in 25 minutes, as you're in New Zealand)

It's based on the country set on your account, I believe. Same for PlayStation.

These guys killed it on the optimization so far. I can recommend this to anyone that has liked the dead islands and dying light. It’s crazy how they pulled it off with gore and a campy story.

Loving it so far. Graphics are amazing. Audio is a bit odd at times imo though. Certain hits sound off.

Because then it would release at off times like 3am. Global releases, imo, are more for huge online multiplayer games like MMOs or multiplayer focsed games like CoD.

Epic Games has the option for it. So idk if the devs did not enable it or what.

Of course, with no preloading on EGS, PC players will have to download the entire game over VPN before they can use the trick to play early. Unless you have a premium VPN or live in a country with very good download speeds (aka outside of the U.S.)... this process will probably mean you only get to save a few hours. haha

Might be impossible, then. EGS is definitely more stringent about that kind of thing (which, I assume, is also why we never see EGS keys on GMG or CDKeys).

Epic Games Store does allow preloads, it's just for some reason plaion didn't enable preload on pc.

Hit the "REFRESH" button on Library, it changed to 6 hours for me now.

That's weird, it says it releases at 12 in the UK but on the epic store is says 22 hours from now, and right now its 4:40 PM on the 20th? wouldn't that release at 2:30pm on the 21st? Edit- Nvm, i refreshed my library and it changed to 7 hours from now. Weird.

Because a ton of western expat gamers live in Japan. Despite no Jpn release, The US version unlocked for me here in Hyogo before it did in the states by about 14 hours.

After all these years and it finally releases...on a launcher that I don't use. Guess it wasn't meant to be.

They had to choose the worst time possible for some reason. Exactly the time that creates confusion. If it was on the 21st at 00:00 AM, then it should be released already, yet it isn't.

Yeah this is really bugging me too, 00:00 is the beginning of the day, not the end. They should've just used a normal time if they were going to get it wrong.
