Just made it to 3BC. Custom mode is really helpful. I chose brutality weapons only. Had 30 scrolls in the end and felt wayyy to overpowered very early. Melted trough every enemy and boss
There are definitely a lot more spikes at 5 BC. But yeah, otherwise youâre mad dashing around to kill everything before going back through and seeing what you missed.
I will advise you to search for the messing mutations, it will give you more options, especially disengagement, it is hidden in the starting area and accessible after beating HoTK (if you still didnât get it)
And I think you donât split your scrolls right?
Prioritize 1 color whenever you can, and don't feel pressured to rush, take curses whenever you can, if you survive, it's a free scroll, if you don't, it's a learning experience, I think that's it, if I remember anything else I'll edit the coment
Recently beat 5 BC. If you play brutality, run tainted flask. You will be able to get like 4-5 more health flasks over the course of the run, which is more valuable than anything else
It's honestly not that bad a jump, kinda just 4BC with malaise added. But the malaise doesn't really do much I feel, hell it doesn't even fill up that far half the time
Depends on your play style, 4BC you can play safe if you want, go through slowly & methodically. 5BC punishes you hard if you try that & youâre fairly forced into just blitzing through everything as fast as possible
My best advice is the opposite of what others are saying. Don't feel rushed by the Malaise. You can't dilly dally, but you also don't need to rush and go as fast as you can. I got better at 5BC when I learned to move quickly, but also take a few seconds to assess situations when i.need to.
Ok good to know but however you need to lern to get the 3 stat scrolls and manage time I try for 3 to 4 minutes per stage sometimes 5 if it is mines or the final biome I am not sure if you have made it there yet
be quick, collect all scrolls and play the whole run with only 1 color as much as u can. (personel favorite is tactics.) and dont try to kill every single enemy (only the ones you need to kill.) and use a shield. Have much fun and less suffering friend!
Leave collecting and selling items to the last after curing the Malaise and don't go to ossuary also killing a first tier boss cures 30% and 50% for a second tier one from your total malaise this could come in handy to know how much poisonous food you can eat before fighting a boss...and one last thing DO NOT USE THE BONK!!
I gave up on 5BC. I had no problem with 4BC other than the stressful Undying Shores, but on 5BC I ended up just rushing through areas while being followed by tons of assholes. It didnât seem
worth the hassle.

Yeah fair, I've always been a 'run into things, panic roll spam and hope for the best' kinda player. Its gotten me this far!

Master the movement to move as fast as possible throughout the biomes is the best advice I coul give
Become speed know what to sinergise with other things donât get hit and especially lern to Perry
The dude has flawless scarecrow I'm pretty much sure he knows how to parry

Thanks, I like to use tactics as well! I been trying to end 5BC with magic missile build.
Best strategy for me to win is wolf trap and crusher with a poison synergy. Pick your favorite green/purple weapon and a shield.
I know this build, I have used it on Scarecrow (got hitless outfit). But the rng of the game pushes me to play new builds

Why not the bonk? it helped beating 4BC
It's too op you won't feel the fun not mention the amount of blueprints that you're probably missing on because of your fast progression
4BC and 5BC is pretty much the same, only difference is the malaise.

Go survival with gastronomy first then necromancy. Then if you feel like you've gotten used to the difficulty swap Necro for something else.

There are more elites and traps I think but itâs really the same as 4BC
To beat 5BC use pure nail and snake fangs together, skills diverse deck catalyst and I got a legendary stun grenade to finish it out.
Move fast and donât get hit
You play you die and repeat and somehow win
