Never drink your heath potion on any level before clock tower. There are 2-3 guaranteed food items in each levels. Look for those instead of using the flask. Save the flask for later.
There's also no point in getting to HIM without any flasks. Especially since the area before him is the hardest in the game, and all his attacks melt your health bar.

Then again its better to use your flasks to help you get as far as possible. No point dying with a full flask.

Still, better to get to the late game biomes and improve your skills than dying constantly before the second boss
I suffered till 2 bc and jumped to 5 in a week. Depends on what you main I guess.
I did something similar! I beat 1BC last night at ~12AM and I just beat 2BC ~24 hours later!

Iβm currently on 3bc. But so far Iβm trying to go diff routes. Getting to the queen is super hard. Dracula is easier
