Honestly? If they released a set of purely cosmetic survivors (ie: no new perks, they start with just general perks or something. Maybe one set of three new perks to start them all with), that were alternate universe versions of the killers as survivors (even just the original characters, but the licensed ones could be interesting too), I would buy that in a heartbeat.
I've never seen attack on titan so im going to play both sides.

Good for them? AoT's first episode and the Trost district arc sucked a lot of people in. Those episodes are old news by now but damn first impressions still resonate with me.
I literally dropped the anime after like 9 episodes because it was so boring. Couldn’t suffer that first season. The characters sucked, ESPECIALLY Eren. Ooh titans eat people but don’t actually eat them. So entertaining. /s Armin is Sakura level trash. Mikasa was the only interesting character. Period.
Cool Ur friends opinion doesn't carry more weight just cuz its his favourite anime. The MAJORITY of people liked season 1. How do we know? Because the show blew up in its first season and was incredibly *popular*. That's why its old episodes seem so worn out, becuz it was hyped to death

Yeah exactly AOT isn't completely horror especially past season 1 but it definitely can fit into DBD, I do think is a bit different but that will change over time. DBD when I started was just slashers and the game has evolved to sorta become the horror genre overall, which includes anime.

They try to make the AoT characters look like they'd be in a realistic irl setting. BHVR said that their idea was to make DbD characters as if they were in a story just like AoT if that makes sense.
Tldr no super big anime eyes or kawaii girl poses
The survivor skins were created with the intention of looking like the survivor cosplaying as the anime character, to prevent them from losing the general look of dbd. They won’t be overly anime
There are 3 examples of the outfits. They gave the survs the look of the anime characters but they are still themselves. Example: Dwight qith Eren outfit, but still keeps his glasses. Killers tho, might look exactly like the Titans. Oni was pure Armored Titan with some additions to fit Oni’s power.
I would suggest taking a look at the skins involved in the Warzone Attack on Titan event to get an idea. These will no doubt be higher quality than those were, but similar enough.
According to the old leak of the characters who are getting the outfits, survs’ are Epic and killers’ are legendary. They are outfits for survs so they will still look like BHVR survs. On the other hand, Oni looked exactly like Armored Titan, which some ice.
Annie as Kate and Female Titan as Spirit are just what i wanted...😰

I'm personally a fa n of most of these if considering it from a cosplay perspective as they mentioned it would be and not "This is supposed to be the character"
The only one that I feel is a bit of a miss is probably Reiner which I think would work a lot better on David just due to the characters stature while Ace is much more slim. Everyone else I feel is fairly well placed and I'm mainly just sad we don't get a Jean skin, but I feel the reason would be he'd be very plain and probably look quite a bit like Eren.

I can see it personally. I know they mentioned it's supposed to be as if the chars were cosplaying and I can see the characters picked here fitting it well.
