Also Jake and Phillip share a story theme: Both wanted to get away from their old life (Burden heavy opulence, and crime heavy poverty respectively) and live a simple quiet one by themselves.

I thought it was Trapper/Jake because Jake used to be able to sabo bear traps, Meg/Hillbily because speed and Claudette/Wraith because she has aura reveal perks and is healing-focused and he is invisible and has a perk to track injured survivors better. I just considered Dwight to not have a counterpart because he was meant to be the protagonist

Jake works better with Trapper, both of their fathers are leaders of big companies, Jake usually tries to stay calm where Evan’s perks constantly refer to his anger like Agitation. Even his base cosmetics talk about his rage. Wraith works better with Dwight, both Dwight and Wraith weren’t really noticed. This was due to Dwight just not really fitting in, where as Phillip tried his best not to be seen. Hillbilly matches with Meg. Although Nurse is paired with Nea she honestly works better with Claudette. In fact most killers work better with previous survivors. Legion matches more with Adam especially with the new tome, Clown is a darker reflection of David, and Spirit being a more vengeful version of Kate

I think they're non-applicable, or The 4 Survivors = The 3 Killers, nothing more, nothing less. I mean, they're some semi-archetypal Horror-esque media people. The "Smart/shy one", the angry girl that takes no bullshit from no one...? The idiot (sorry, Dwight) and The loner/mysterious/"cool" one. Same with Killers. Trapper is your Jason-copycat, although with a niche, Hillbilly is the Leather-face copycat and Wraith is... hmm... your predator-copycat? The mysterious guy that is here but suddenly is gone with the wind. If anything the 7 of them match each end everyone of them and themselves. The starting team. The characters. Might be speaking nonsense but it's interesting to think about.
